Con season for me is in full swing, and while I have to get better at bringing food, I gotta hand it to Karoshi-Con for leaning into the fact that it’s at a college.
Does this look like artisan food? No, but I was starving and this was dirt cheap. Chickie tendies and homemade sour cream and onion chips. Sure beats paying $16 for walking tacos at other conventions…. Hunger is the best seasoning.
Sometimes, I have to remind myself: what have I made that *isn’t* a Pokémon 🧐
I have a market April 13th where I’m trying something new with the rabbits and tiny hats (in addition to old favorites). I hope the college folk like me >.<.
I needed to come up with a new doll. Due to the spring season, I was thinking rabbits. Then I thought of candy corn. And then I was like “what if I had candy corn rabbits?”. But then I thought of fruit.
So here is the watermelon themed rabbit borne from my shower thoughts.
I got Palworld at launch simply because it looked hilarious. I honestly suck at survival craft games, but playing co-op isn’t so bad. These guys, the Swee and the Sweepa, work up relatively quickly.
In the game they hang out in groups. You try to attack one and they dog pile you with their ice attacks. A very humbling experience.
Initially I didn’t have the steely blue required for the ears and tail, but after making a JoAnn’s run, I was successful.
I might make a few more guys from Palworld. I’m halfway through the game. Still trying not to die in the harder levels.
The feeling when you wanted to make a spoopy post, but it’s snowing in the Midwest, so you have to choose the only song that fits snowing and Halloween
I barely made these in time for Spooky Szn. Glow Pikmin! I’m trying to incorporate different designs in my Pikmin. These will debut in the 2024 convention season orrrr if people express interest
And yes, I am very cold 🥶. The Midwest isn’t kind on Halloween
ive been getting back into (read: hyperfocusing on) cross stitching lately. mental eelness be damned making stuff with my hands will always have my back
One of the things I love about fiber arts is being able to recognize it in everyday stuff. Seeing a sweater and noticing each individual stitch, realizing that plushie you have is made up of very small knit stitches! Being able to figure out how a certain piece of clothing was made and appreciating those even more because of that.
