July 4th is not a day of celebration this year, we are a mockery of the country our lady liberty was built in the image of. It is our duty to claw back our liberty and our freedom, our humanity and empathy, before the country dies on the bodies of our best, our brightest, and most hopeful.

Lol i was at dashcon, I think the parade is actually worse because people did actually show up to the con. There were even celebrities that weren't related to the person throwing the event (badumtsh).

I did a thing the last couple of months and finally made an Ahsoka cosplay because i was able to get tickets to Star Wars Nite.

The thing fell apart on me like the whole night, but it was so much fun!

I'm now remaking the armor parts out of more durable materials so I can have a longer lasting cosplay. Foam and glue does NOT hold up to Disneyland crowds, so cal hot days, or rides.

hey so random question, but what happened to the audio version of shifter becoming? i had it on CD forever ago (yeah from dash con lmao) and of course 10 years later it doesn't work anymore. any way to get my hands on it?

I might still have the audio file, let me look into it! I lost my primary backup drive a couple years ago but I have hoarded all my old laptops and never delete anything from my Google drive so there's a chance it is **somewhere**.

When I read this I definitely didn't picture a giant pair of scissors that could cut something off. I pictured the tiny grooming scissors. Which could also probably only do as much damage as a razor.

Starting to feel like my albatross is saying, “You should never use scissors near your genitals,” and having a bunch of comments going, “But if you do, use a comb-“

No. Not even then. You should never use scissors near your junk. There is no safety guard to scissors. Two of the horror stories so far were using a comb.

Don’t.

Use.

Scissors.

Sugar. Wax. Grow a fucking jungle. Buy a razor. Use clippers. You can still cut yourself but you can’t cut parts of yourself off.

Hey Tumblr!

A small personal post! Yesterday was my birthday and I wanted to share some little snips from spending it with my sister! I woke up first thing in the morning and she gifted me a homemade baby yoda doll to go with the Ahsoka one she made me for Christmas. And then we went to Disneyland!

For those of you that don't know, my sister is autistic. So it is incredibly special when she steps out of her comfort zone to make me crafty trinkets and sit with me at restaurants where she won't eat the food. She humored me a lot yesterday! We got a walk in first thing at Ogas Cantina, rode a ton of rides, and finished out the day at Jazz Kitchen with some dinner and birthday bengiets.

She really made my day special!

I was never formally taught to sew or read patterns. Fit and flare tops are out of fashion but they are the most flattering on my body type, so I eyeballed an existing shirt I had, made a "pattern" and now make all of my own shirts from that one pattern in different fabrics. Do the thing! If you fuck up, do it again anyways! If you are the one wearing it and it isn't perfect nobody is going to know but you anyways lol. I pretty much only know how to do a straight stitch so they're all ugly as hell inside out but nobody has ever called them out on being homemade since they can only see the outside.

This show has an odd special place in my family. My dad loves it because it is war+comedy and he takes it at surface value.

I love it because it has given me all the values that are the opposite of his. If he actually listened to the allegory of what the deeper messages were he'd have never watched it lol

It may be slightly petty. But I'll take it.

You would probably have a heart attack if you looked at my painting files. HOWEVER, ONLY THE PAINTING FILES. Why? Blending and blend modes don't work in groups. So if I need a blend mode to work on a whole section, none of that can be in separate groups. The color adjustments from the blending just doesn't work quite right or doesn't affect the layers in the group/outside the group altogether. Anything in illustrator or after effects is organized. I do all of my projects in-house though, so I am the only one that needs to manage my madness if I need to make adjustments or break something up for an animation.

I became a fundamentally different artist when handed a file by a different artist that I needed to work on that was 50 untitled layers.
