I just started a game, so lets review and I wanna try and modify how I do reviews.
Terra Memoria-Dear Villagers-3/27/24
I'm playing this on ps5, but its also available on Switch, xbox, and pc (steam). It is a cozy game, with a retro vibe.
That being said it's unique in how it provides you the story, rather than telling you, it wants you to live it and learn as the characters do. Some is setup, mainly the world, but otherwise they are as clueless as you. You play as a party of 6. That being Moshang, Syl, Alto, Edson, Opal, and Meta. They all have unique reasons for joining the party and unique abilities where everyone becomes necessary.
It's a game that proves it's about the journey rather than the destination. I like the Graphics and how the world is built leaving puzzles everywhere and almost everything helps benefit your characters. Tutorials do feel fluid and come as needed. The mechanics for leveling up and buffs are unique and make sense.
My only current gripe is not all gameplay feels neccessary. Not everyone likes to build. I LOVE IT. You don't clock 1000 hours into ACNH for nothing, but here it works for some cases and then not at ALL for other parts. I also cannot find too much recently about the game and even the official website isn't updated almost like it's just been abandoned to the wind, it just strikes me odd.
However even with that it's really good so far, however I reccommend to play it on switch/pv as it would probably be easier. Theres hidden paths and on a ps5 (for me). It's just hard to notice when theres something off.
Story: 10/10
Gameplay: 9/10
Graphics: 8/10
Overall: 9/10
My favorite part has got to be the mechanics for fighting as it makes every fight feel fresh and really forces you to strategize.

If for some reason you haven't bought Baldur's Gate 3 lets sit down.
Tumblr media
Pros:
Roleplaying game where your choices really do matter! Lots of interesting companions, npcs, and storylines. Well made gameplay, UI, and not super buggy.
Cons:
Currently could use more subclasses and nicer gear/camp clothes.
I have not finished bg3 as of this moment, but I have clocked 200 hours and I still find suprises here and there. I have played 3 honor modes and currently have 6 games. I am still being entertained and every single subclass feels strong and not lacking. That being said they still clearly have a favorite child and that is wizard closely behind is cleric for most subclasses. Patch 8 around the corner with even more.
It's still a 60 usd price point, which is the current standard, for what it is and the fact there are more endings than many can even fathom I think it's not horrendous you are getting a lot out of it, but I will say even if I play on ps5, pc gamers will struggle to run act 3. It's just really big even with them wittling it down because well Baldur's gate the city is HUGE.
My only real gripe is other than a durge run they don't love letting you be evil, but it can still be done. I just wish they included more gods for clerics (like yanno SHAR the prime one in the game. Maybe I want two shar clerics who are rivals on becoming judistiars). Plus they give you deities that you can't even choose their domain for like Kelevmor the GRAVE domain god which we don't have grave as a subclass.
I'd say its a solid pick on sale or even full price.

So as I play infinity nikki and enjoy that I decided my first post may as well be Hogwarts legacy.
Pros:
It's in a highly enjoyed world that is visually beautiful. Amazing options for wardrobe and ability to customize your experience playing. With some lovable characters.
Cons:
It's extremely dull, in story and gameplay. It drops off way too fast for it to be worth a damn. The spells are in my opinion not the best and the puzzles are fine, but could be optimized.
The main gripe here is the story. For a game as large with four unique houses they decided to nail in the concept that houses straight up do not matter outside of pure aesthetic. I dropped off extremely fast and never even go to the end even if trying to force myself to get there. Which to my understanding is not very well done as you can be evil til the end and make a snap choice to do the right thing.
It's essentially a visual cash grab game. They reel you in with how it looks, and I played on the switch lite so that didn't even exist!
I will say many of the characters are likable and well written, but I wish it was more equal as some characters (ravenclaw and gryfindor companions), just did not have compelling stories like others.
Now to bite the real bullet, it's made by jk who no matter what will have some money go to her pocket. She is a terf aka someone who is a feminist, but doesn't believe trans people are included in that. Even on a sale, save your money.

I don't know what game I may start with as I have finished lots of games I genuinely love, enjoy, and have completed. Currently playing a game I do not enjoy and would like to review, and feel as if I will have a hard time completing due to that lack of enjoyment.
Which is Hogwarts Legacy. However I want this to be a positive spot as well. So I think I may hold off until I actually complete the game or until I fully fall off on it.
That being said I may do reviews for the last campfire or on dredge first as I throughly enjoyed those games.
