Sunset Shimmer Redesign!

Sunset Shimmer is a kirin in my redesign! I wanted more diversity within the mane 7, and so I went with a kirin!

Sunset's family moved to Sire's Hollow when she was just a filly. Her father left a little after the move, no one has seen him since. Sunset has one younger sibling, Sunburst. The two spent most of their time together trying to outwit each other with new spells. Sunset Shimmer always had a knack for magic and strived to be the most knowledgeable about magic in her town. After she left for Canterlot, Sunburst picked up where they had left off in their studies and continued to be the bookworm that he is.

When she found out about Celestia's Academy for Gifted Unicorns, she wanted nothing more than to study under Celestia. For her entrance exam, Sunset had to hatch a phoenix egg, paralleling how Twilight had to hatch a dragon egg. And much like Twilight, Sunset was allowed to keep the legendary bird, naming her Philomena. Celestia saw potential in Sunset and took her under her wing. She had never met a kirin before and was definitely intrigued. Kirin magic was not researched, and so Celestia took this apprenticeship as an opportunity to get to know Sunset and kirin magic.

Sunset befriended Twilight throughout her time at the academy and they became friendly rivals. Despite how antisocial Twilight can be, Sunset was always at her side and they were rarely seen apart. That is, until Sunset realized how powerful Twilight was.

This is where my headcanons definitely steer from canon. I don't consider the Equestria Girls movies to be canon. For my Sunset, the portal to the human dimension has never existed and will not exist.

Sunset Shimmer's downfall began when she realized how powerful her best friend was. Twilight's power made sense of Shimmer insecure with her own and that led her to search for more ways to gain more magical power. Sunset went against Celestia's rules about the library and snuck in late one night to explore the restricted section beneath the castle. She found a spell that could harness her emotions to bring her more power, but at the time, her emotions were anger and jealousy. Had her emotions been different at the time of finding the spell, the outcome could have been much different.

This spell caused Sunset Shimmer to shift into her nirik form and accidentally set a sectiom of the library ablaze. This led Celestia to finding her and attempting to capture her for trespassing and damaging the library. Celestia's guard soon arrived to attempt to capture her, but were not successful. There was a momentary showdown between Celestia and Sunset, but Sunset's magic became increasingly difficult for Celestia to handle. Celestia was able to stop her for a moment to try and understand what was going on, but Sunset got even more upset over the fact that her mentor was seeing her in such a state. Sunset fled Canterlot and retreated to the Peaks of Peril.

She returned to Canterlot a few years afterwards and was treated as a threat to Equestria by Celestia and Luna. Sunset never meant to hurt anyone all those years ago, but she let her emotions get the best of her and the dark magic consumed her. She tried to explain this to the queens, but Celestia insisted that Sunset's use of dark magic is enough to deserve her a place in the Canterlot Gardens. Celestia was furious with Sunset for disobeying a very important rule. She was going to turn Sunset to stone for her crime of weilding dark magic.

Twilight was in the castle at the time, on their way to a meeting with the queens. They entered the throne room to find Celestia preparing a magical attack and Sunset on the ground, pleading for forgiveness. Luna was standing behind Celestia, looking away in shame. Twilight ran to Sunset's side and deflected the blast, sending it crashing into the wall behind the queens. The queens stood in utter awe and Sunset shakily stood next to Twilight. Although the kirin was much larger than her pony friend, she felt so much weaker than her. Twilight stood in front of Sunset and insisted that the situation was unlike anything she had ever seen out of Celestia.

I haven't really thought about it much past that point, but let's just say Twilight helped Sunset become more comfortable with herself and taught her about how powerful the magic of friendship is. Sunset ends up moving into the Golden Oak Library with Twilight and helps Twilight with her research about magic. Sunset still has a piece of the dark magic with her, but Twilight does what she can to keep Sunset's head high. Oh yeah, and they're dating BAHAHDH

My first Fluttercord comic, YAY~ As for me, I think it turned out well, given the fact that I haven’t drawn ponies since 2019. (I will remember that year...)

OK so

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm i want to rewrite bride of discord so here are notes of what I want to happen

-How it starts is fine, discord escaping being stoned is a good premise for now

-discord doesn’t ask for a bride jfhesfhufsh i feel like thats too literal or whatever ofc they get married but this is more just about them slooooooowly falling in love because I hate fluttershy feeling somewhat obligated to love him

-she finds him in the everfree a few years after his escape because he wants to surprise the ponies yadda yadda, she is slightly frightened but its s8 fluttershy so shes more just surprised than anything.

-They actually talk and become “friends” much to discords dismay

-they both feel strange because they like each other??? Wtf??

-ESPECIALLY discord because not only has no one ever been nice to him, but like had a nice conversation with him??

-happens a few more times before the gala

-I want it to be like romeo and juliet hero/villian type thing and its secret

-He still comes back at the gala and fluttershy is like wtf binch but not outwardly she doesn’t want anyone to know she met up with him

-He still likes her singing tho eheehehehe

-so hes like yea chaos and fluttershy sneaks away that night to slap the shit out of him

-shes upset because she had begun to see him as sort of a friend, but also realises that he wasn’t just going to give up his ways overnight

-discord actually sort of feels bad when she confronts him and is extremely confused

-he tells her he’ll strike a deal with her friends for land and all that

-and shes a tad suspicious but is like okayyyyyy bestie

-tho he likes raining chaos wherever he wants, he genuinely wants a space to be himself, so he doesn’t really have any plans to try and take over when the deal is made for now

-the story from here focuses on their relationship enemies to friends to lovers, if u will

-fluttershy hates keeping it a secret, because she comes to realize he's an amazing person??? Oh my god?? But felt for some reason her friends just wouldn’t see what she did

-they see each other like everyday and its really nice and epic

-fluttershy can’t believe she ever felt anything but adoration for him omg

-discord actually opens up about his past and how absolutely shitty he felt because nobody has ever given him the time of day and it makes fluttershy SICK and so angry and crying and angst

-twigy and friends are always wondering where fluttershy is running off too tho she usually visits him at night ehehheh

-they both feel extremely comfy around each other and it throws both of the through the ringer fluttershy has NEVER felt so seen and heard and understood in her life and vise versa. They are DORKS and its CUTE

-when they are together they collectively have one single brain cell

-fluttershy makes the first move she has big dick energy

-discord has never really been in control, it’s what he’s been chasing his whole life, so to feel ACTUALLY comfortable with his guard down with her makes him ten times more soft adn hes like ph go oh fuvk she she she purr purr purr

-fluttershy actually stands up for discord against her friends because she loves him duh

-discord likes her animals she gives him a cat and it’s literally bingus

-idk that all i got right now but hold me to this i WILL write this. i just wanted to get the ideas documented and shit idk

Fluttershy Headcanons and Redesign!

Fluttershy is pretty much the same as in FIM, except in my redesign, she is not a pegasus. Fluttershy is half earth pony, half deer. She still has the ability to speak to animals, but can also heal wounds and is very strong like other earth ponies.

Discord lives with Fluttershy and is their platonic life-parther. They live in the Everfree Forest near the castle of the two sisters. The two also assist Twilight in their research of the Everfree Forest. Fluttershy knows the forest like the back of her hoof and knows where all of the most secretive plants and creatures live.

Fluttershy has an enourmous garden surrounding her home, which she tends to every day. She runs an animal rehabilitation service out of her home.

Fluttershy uses she/they pronouns and is asexual.

Applejack Headcanons and Redesign!

In my redesign, earth ponies have their own kind of magic comnected to Equestria. Applejack has a very strong type of earth pony magic. Specifically: she can heal wounds, summon small earthquakes by stomping her hooves, and has incredible strength.

AJ is pretty much the same as in FIM. I headcanon that he has curly hair like his mother, but no one really knows that since he keeps it cut so short. Speaking of, Rarity insists that she cuts and styles AJ's hair, but AJ always goes to Rainbow for it. They like to keep their hair short so that it doesn't get caught while working.

AJ loves to visit her family in Appleoosa. Most of the time it's to compete in rodeo competitions; barrel racing, hurdles, roping, etc. Also!! AJ is dating Rarity <3

Applejack uses all pronouns and is queer. They don't really like labels lol.

Rarity Headcanons and Redesign!!

Rarity was raised in the Crystal Empire and her parents are both crystal ponies. Being born a crystal unicorn is a very rare occurrence, hence the name she was given.

Rarity's special talent is not fashion, but more specifically the incorporation of gemstones into her work. She specializes in jewelry, rather than dresses and clothing.

While she lives in Ponyville and operates Carousel Boutique, she has other locations across Equestria; most notably in Canterlot in the Crystal Empire. Rarity works alongside Coco Pommel to create jewelry and dresses for the boutique. The goal of Carousel Boutique is to be inclusive and supportive of all of its patrons. Rarity especially aims to assist other trans ponies with their self image and love.

Rarity tends to isolate herself when she's in a designing groove; AJ checks up on her frequently to ensure that she is taking care of herself. They're dating btw ;)

Rarity is trans fem and uses she/her pronouns. Rarity is a lesbian. 💛

Pinkie Pie Headcanons and Redesign!

Pinkie Surprise Pie is her full name. Pinkie is an orphan pegasus that was adopted by the Cake family and raised in Ponyville. Pinkie is a co-owner of Sugarcube Corner, the other owner being her sister Minty. Pinkie bakes cakes and other treats to sell, while Minty specializes in candy making.

Pinkie is still a hyperactive, happy pony. She loves coming up with new ways to celebrate her friends and family. She can predict future events, but never on command. It's her "Pinkie Sense" like in FIM. She is hyperfixated on baking and is constantly thinking of new pastries and treats she can make.

Being a pegasus, Pinkie can fly, but she still bounces/hops around 1] as a way to stim and 2] because she's secretly afraid of heights. She normally only flies at heights that she's comfortable at and only higher is the situation calls for it.

Pinkie is autistic and uses she/her and neo pronouns (im not sure which ones, but she definitely seems like she would use neos) Pinkie is biromantic, graysexual, and polyamorous.

Rainbow Dash Headcanons and Redesign!

Rainbow is half abada, half pegasus. The only pegasus features Rainbow has are their feathers. His father was an abada famous for stunt work, who unfortunately passed after a failed stunt. Their mother was a pegasus well-known for being in the Wonderbolts, Firefly. Rainbow Dash was born in Cloudsdale and was raised solely by his mother. Firefly gave up her job as a Wonderbolt to raise RD and moved to ponyville since her child didn't have the ability to fly.

RD was bullied often as a child for how he looked. Nopony bad ever seen a creature like him in Ponyville before. They quickly made friends with Fluttershy, another outcast of Ponyville.

As they became more comfortable in Ponyville, RD practiced her running daily. His goal was to be the fastest creature in Equestria. After befriending Applejack, RD was given permission to use the paths around the farm as his own personal racetrack. When they run, a rainbow lightning trail follows behind them. He eventually becomes so skillful with running that he performs his first "sonic-rainboom," sending a giant rainbow across the sky for all of Equestria to see. After realizing the speed that he can achieve, Rainbow decides to become a stunt pony like his father. He does a lot of things similar to "the Washouts" in FIM. With flashy and fiery showmanship, RD gallops through flames, electrically-charged hoops, and through obstacle courses filled with spikes and other dangerous hurdles. Eventually, the Wonderbolts catch wind of RD's stunts via Firefly. Rainbow recieves a job working with the Wonderbolts as their ground performer. The only stipulation they give him is that there are to be no life-threatening elements to the show. So now, RD mainly just performs feats of extreme speed.

Rainbow's hair is rainbow due to the first rainboom that they performed. Beforehand his hair only consisted of the primary colors (red, yellow, and blue).

Rainbow uses they/he pronouns. He's gay and lithromantic.

My redesigns of Trixie, Sunset, and Starlight!

Their names for the redesigns:

Spinel Trix: raised in the Crystal Kingdom, this Crystal Unicorn was born with the heart and eye for showbiz. Her traveling show has been a hit to many a pony. Though she tends to embellish her powers a little, she knows, even reluctantly, when to bow and admit her lies.

Celeste Glow: Daughter of Solaria and adopted sister of Lunarlight, Celeste never felt a bond towards Lunar, and felt jealous of Solaria’s attention of the younger. It didn’t help that the two were kept in secret from the major populace at Solaria’s request. In this world, the Equestria Girl’s world doesn’t exist, so instead Celeste fled to a far away part of Equestria, though she will return.

Celena Shine: Celena, or Lena, has never had a good time making friends, infact, their only friend was a young filly who she bonded with over a game they both enjoyed. When the friend was shipped off to a magic academy when they earned their cutie mark, Celena became angry and resentful of cutie marks, blaming them for stealing her friend from them. So when she had gained hers, they tried to use a spell to forcibly remove it, though it only badly damaged one of their back legs to a point that amputation was needed. She now lives isolated, far off the beaten path.

Twilight Sparkle Headcanons and Redesign!

Twilight's mother is a unicorn and her father is a bat pony. Twilight grew up very sheltered and is now a recluse. They spent all of their younger years closed off, studying magic and spellcasting in Canterlot. After seeing Celestia raise the sun during the Summer Sun Celebration, Twilight was inspired to study magic.

Her parents enrolled her in Celestia's Academy for Gifted Unicorns, which caused her to endulge every minute she had into studying for school. Twilight studied under Celestia, until the return of Luna. During their time at the academy, Twilight grew close to Luna. Luna became a sort of parental figure for Twilight, as they practically lived at the castle with the two sisters. Luna taught Twilight most of her magical skillset and encouraged her to find friendship in Ponyville.

Twilight only had two friends in Canterlot, Sunset Shimmer and Moondancer. Sunset Shimmer and Twilight upheld a friendly rivalry throughout their time at the academy. Moondancer would help Twilight catch up on classwork she may have missed. It was quite common for Twilight to fall asleep in class due to her being nocturnal.

Being a unicorn/bat pony hybrid, Twilight is a night owl, staying up all night researching the scrolls of Starswril the Bearded and doing their work as the Ponyville Historian. She is rarely seen by the public during the day, only leaving the golden oak library to help her friends or the queens. Twilight sacrifices a lot of her sleep to be there for her friends, but she doesn't mind. They always eventually crack and will sometimes fall asleep while standing. The mane five always take good care of them when this happens.

Twilight is NOT a princess in my redesign. She does perform tasks for the queens, but only when the safety of Equestria is in jeopardy.

As for their cutie mark, the pink markings only appeared after meeting the rest of the mane six and Starlight. Her personality is very similar to s1 of the show. She stays asocial, strict, and orderly. They come off as very rude and insensitive to most ponies, but they dont mean to.
