The aftermath of the Series Finale finds Kirsch and Mel engaging in one final act of closure that could possibly lead to an exciting new adventure. Can these two polar opposites really co-exist with one another? Spoilers for the Series Finale of Carmilla.

Conversation
There seems to be a misunderstanding.
Fanon Carmilla: *doesn't eat people anymore because she's noble and has a tragic past and is above that or has some trauma about that*
Canon Carmilla: *tries to eat the mayor of the Christmas village*
Canon Carmilla: *eats Mama Klaus*
Canon Carmilla: *complained through the whole Twitter Adventure that there was no one around she was allowed to kill*
Canon Carmilla: *complains on Twitter about getting the "horror eyes" whenever she eats a bystander*
Canon Carmilla: We're vampires. A certain amount of murder just comes with the territory.
I feel like this misunderstanding goes both ways though. You have some people who view her as an innocent angel and others who see her like she's murder-happy. It's ironic since Laura's whole arc this season was about how things aren't so black and white. Because the thing with Carmilla is she talks a big talk but how many times has she actually NEEDLESSLY killed someone? Usually it's someone who poses a threat to them or (in her mind) deserves it. Heck remember Carmilla's twitter right after she broke up with Laura? She threatened to go on a rampage but then one by one talked herself out of killing anybody. Not to mention Mattie's line about how Carmilla always tried to convince them to spare certain people. So while Carmilla she no qualms against killing (and arguably even delights in it in certain circumstances) I think it's misunderstanding her character if you view her as an innocent angel OR a murder-happy villain.

This of course probably won’t happen in the actual season 3, but wouldn’t that be cool? Lol.

Text
Ending, Storybook
Patron: “I’m looking for a book for my child.”
Me: “Great! What kind of book are you looking for?”
Patron: “A book with a story.”
Me: “Are you looking for a particular type of story?”
Patron: “One with a beginning and an end.”
Me: “Um, yes, okay, I know of some good ones over here.”
Patron [picks up a book and flips to the end]: “Is this the end of the book? There isn’t any more after this page?”
Me: “That’s it. Once you turn to the last page, the book is finished.”
Patron: “I’ll take it.”

In the fourth season finale, we saw how Isaac's new story was intended to end, but what happened in the chapters before it? This fic is my take on what his book might've been like.
