Kicking off a little late but that’s fine, the dates are all being pushed forward. Starting today and two weeks to play

✨A most divine new year approaches, and with a new year comes banquets transcending mortal realms and heavens alike. Yes, it is not just the mortals who take time to welcome a new cycle, even the gods take a break from their works to gather and feast before the lord of heavens (listening to prayers comes the day after so wait will ya)

Date start: 11 February (an eve) to end 19

🍇We ask mortals to send invites to one another for this is a time to get together, is it not? (this includes those blogs you interact with outside of AU. Invite yo friends people). Gods will be expected to return to heaven to participate in the divine banquets. Absence will be taken as an insult and will be expected to compensate our great lord by one’s own means (I recommend wearing play tiger ears and going a fire dance for the heavenly lord)

🍡What makes this New year unique from the rest is how it is the New Years of New Begining. A year where we are allowed to bring in new traditions! Be the ancestors who started it all, this is not an everyday sort of New year so go all out.

✉️ We encourage during this time to send ask about the event so our mortals and gods will be able to share what the new year’s means to them—after all who does not want to snoop on what is happening in the great halls of gods.

Gods will open their Inbox for New Years wishes after the 19

🎍Also for funsies we would like to ask the gods to make a transparent png of there gods sittings ‘floor style.’ Our plan is to create a new year collaboration of the divine banquet, give people a visual on what is going on. If you wish to participate, please have it in by 14 February.

From the 9th to the 30th of November, AU Muses and Blogs will be celebrating The Festival of Unity between the Five Realms.

Personality: jian is a driven young man who is very ambitious yet jovial. he had grown up with a lot of expectations, being the sole male heir of his family. thus, he feels responsibility over all the members of his family and often confides in the gods, in awe with their abilities to take care of so many seemingly effortlessly. 

If a Human

Career: a 校尉 (colonel) in the army, and a mid-level government bureaucrat during times of peace.

How do they show their faith?: devout yet casual, jian is one to treat the gods like members of his family, offering meals that he himself eats or even talking to them in prayer like how one would phone a family member

Are they Enlightened/ Trying to Get Enlightened/ Just Vibing?: enlightened! but not really inclined to do anything about it just yet

Additional background: his family has been worshipping yaling (and yilin to an extent) for generations. however, they are more cultural worshippers of her and do not really feel all that much devotion towards her. he however, honours her every day as one of her more ardent followers.
