Can't wait to find out the meaning of the lyric, "Blanket, I need a blanket, not a synthetic one," and for it to become the most devastating part of the song.

Need to share my insanity about the lyrics from Flash because with every twist we learn they seem to align more and more:

"Hmm, I can't believe that you were here I know I can't do it There's no chance to rewrite Our story ended long ago"

^Something happened to separate LG and CXS as kids. The "long ago" always tripped me up re: CXS's death because that happened in the future, not the past, and anyhow, even if three years went by since LG's dive, I wouldn't consider that "long ago". But if it's referring to their childhood, I think this makes a lot more sense.

"Into the story As just an extra You are the reason I live But you don't remember me?"

^Self-explanatory. Misery. But also I am intrigued by the "into the story as just an extra" - was LG meant to be assisting CXS with something? Has CXS always been a target for his powers even as a kid? CXS seems to be at the center of a lot of what's going on; maybe LG was never supposed to be such an important person in his life.

"Flash me, flash me Gotta get the power to rewrite I just wanna deny, I just wanna rewrite, yeah"

^Again, self-explanatory. He wants to change the death node. I think this song was one of the early suggestions that LG dived back to save CXS?

^Okay this makes me insane. The "little lamp": the heroine in Ran Xi Chronicles, the manga series in Yingdu ep 1, used a magic lamp to time travel. LG draws an explicit parallel between himself and her.

^You're just making sure I'm alone, huh? To have CXS forget LG, to isolate him from anyone besides the Photo Studio, to kill CXS and have LG hold the secret and burden of that future all on his own, unable to confide in or talk to anyone about it... doesn't it kind of seem like LG is being intentionally isolated? For what reason?

Right-wing groups are planning to flood the Election Assistance Commission (EAC) Standards Board with public comment ahead of its annual meeting on April 24. At this meeting, the EAC Standards Board will discuss whether the EAC should amend the national mail voter registration form to require documentary proof of citizenship, in accordance with Trump’s recent executive order.

This would mean the only way to register to vote using the federal form would be with a passport, real ID proving citizenship (which isn't available in any states except Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Vermont, and Washington), government photo ID proving citizenship, or military ID. Birth certificates, naturalization forms, etc do not count. The EAC Standards Board is accepting public comment until midnight tonight, April 23, on this issue and how it would affect the public. If voting didn't matter, they wouldn't be trying to stop people from doing it. Comments can be submitted at this link:

Serena as a Mourning dove (Zenaida macroura) and Veronica as a Black-capped chickadee (Poecile atricapillus)

My rationale below the cut:

1. Mourning doves are strong fliers, and I thought that was fitting for Serena since she uses wind magic. They also sing a sad song, just like Serena.

2. Like Veronica, Black-capped chickadees are tiny and filled with rage.

The Dragon Quest XI Party as Birds: Part II!

Erik as a Stellar's jay (Cyanocitta stellari) and the Luminary as a Black-billed magpie (Pica hudsonia).

My rationale below the cut:

1. Both birds are opportunistic and will steal from people and other birds.

2. Black-billed magpies are highly social. (I've always viewed the Luminary as a gregarious fellow.)

3. Stellar's jays have excellent spatial memory to remember the locations of their caches.
