So from what I heard, Wade wanted a family with Vanessa right? A baby?? A family of his own??
He would definitely treat Mary Puppins as his own actual biological daughter even though she's a deadpool, but she's the closest thing he has to an actual baby
And and Wade was no doubt happy for Laura that she has a Logan, not hers, but a Logan that she'll love and cherish all the same as her father
And Logan slowly opening himself to her and taking the parental role and treating her like she was always his own daughter
But oh my God IMAGINE PLEASE IMAGINE how HAPPY he would be when Laura refers to him as papa one day
Wade would always hang out and treat Laura like the questionable Uncle, and leaving the "father-bonding-and-other-fatherly-things" to Logan
But then one night, after she comes over for dinner and hangs out with them and now she has to return back to the X-Mansion she goes:
"Thanks for letting me come over agajn guys. Goodnight, love you Dad, love you Papi." And shuts the door and Wade almost trips over Mary Puppins.
"That's a little odd, baby peanut mentioned you twice. Must be really tired after tonight."
"Papi is you, bub."
He slowly turns to Logan, refusing to believe it
Before quietly and brokenly asking with so much joy
"I'm a dad?"
And if he cried that night, then that'll just be between him, Logan and Mary Puppins until Wade starts telling anyone and everyone that he's a step father and proceeds to prove how much of a great step father he can be

Ok Jess and Rory car crash one shot thing cause they make me emo
Cw for some passive suicidal ideation
“Jess, look out!”
Rory shouts out in a panic, her voice tight and squeaky. Jess turns his gaze back to the road only to see a small animal running out into the middle of the road. With little time to think, he yanks the steering wheel to the side to swerve out of the way. He tries to hit the breaks and realign the wheels, but he’s not fast enough, and the car rams into a tree on the side of the road.
Time seems to go so fast, and then seems to stop moving at all. Jess takes a few breaths to process before immediately turning his attention to Rory, who seems to only be concerned about the well being of the small creature that is now scurrying off. His eyes quickly flick over her form, looking for any noticeable injuries.
“Are you ok?”
Rory looks back at him. They’re both breathing heavy, adrenaline pumping through their veins, blurring their vision and making their chests hurt. They’re not quite thinking straight yet and after a slightly too long pause, Rory swallows and nods.
“I-I think so…are you?”
“I’m ok.”
Jess responds immediately, not giving any room for Rory to worry about him. They carefully get out of the car and Rory covers her mouth as she takes in the damage, only to wince a little and hold her wrist.
“Ow…” she mutters softly.
Jess hasn’t taken his eyes off Rory, and that immediately sets off alarms in his head. He steps a bit closer to her to take a closer look, gingerly taking her hand and inspecting her wrist.
“What hurts?”
“It was just a little pinch, Jess, it’s ok…”
“We should get you to the doctor…” he says with little room for argument.
Rory nods a bit.
“Yeah…just to make sure everything’s ok…I don’t want to send you home with internal bleeding or something.”
Jess doesn’t seem to be paying much attention to what Rory is saying. He takes one glance back at the car before wrapping his arm around Rory and starting to walk towards the nearest ER. He glances around as they walk, a bit worried of what other people might think or say, but mainly concerned about Rory’s well being. Rory picks up on his anxiety and she speaks softly but firmly.
“I’m ok, Jess.”
“We don’t know that.”
“We will. If it was anything too bad, it’d be obvious…”
“You don’t know that.”
“Jess…”
Rory stops in place, making Jess pause and look at her. He sees a slightly concerned and stern look on her face and he sighs a bit.
“What?”
“I’m ok.”
She reiterates. Jess doesn’t seem to budge, but neither does Rory.
“Let’s just get you to the doctor, Rory…”
Rory nods and they continue walking until they reach the ER. Jess starts explaining what happened to the receptionist and she tells them to go sit and wait, and that a doctor will see them as soon as possible.
“There’s hardly anyone else here, she was just in a car crash, why can’t you see her now?”
“Sir, there’s a process we have to go through. It’s late, but we do have other patients. We will get to you when we can.”
Jess huffs a bit and opens his mouth to push again, but Rory interrupts him.
“Thank you, we’ll go wait.”
Rory gives Jess a look before walking over to a chair and sitting down. Jess furrows his brows and shakes his head a bit.
“What?”
Jess walks over and sits next to her, leaning close and speaking a bit quieter, slightly through gritted teeth.
“I’m just trying to make sure you’re ok…I want them to help you, it’s their job.”
“It is, and they will, but I’m not actively bleeding out, Jess, we can wait…”
Jess sucks his teeth a bit and sits back in his chair, basically glaring down the whole room, keeping an eye out for anyone important looking and bouncing his leg impatiently. Maybe ten minutes go by before someone comes to get them and they walk deeper into the hospital. The doctor explains that they will perform a small check up on the both of them to make sure everything’s ok. Jess is hesitant to let Rory out of his sight, but she reassures him.
“I’m fine, Jess, they need to check on you too, ok?”
Jess reluctantly follows a doctor into a separate room. His check up goes fairly quickly. There seems to be nothing wrong with him. As soon as they let him, he goes back to Rory to see if she’s alright.
“What’d the doctor say?”
Rory takes a breath.
“I have a slight fracture on my wrist, but that’s it. It’s not broken, it’s an easy fix, it barely hurts, I’m ok.”
Jess grits his teeth a little and runs a hand through his hair.
“I…”
He huffs.
“I’m so sorry, Rory, I…I’m such a fucking idiot. I should have been paying attention.”
“Jess, you did what you could…I’m ok.”
“But I got you hurt. And I wrecked your car.”
“It’s fine, Jess…what matters is that we’re both ok, okay? What’d the doctors say about you?”
“I-I’m fine. I’m perfectly fine. Which isn’t remotely fair, I’m the one who crashed the damn car…”
“That’s good. Jess, we’re both ok. They’re gonna give me a small cast so I don’t move my wrist around too much, and in a couple months, I’ll be fine.”
“Months??”
“Jess…”
Jess opens his mouth to speak again, but seeing Rory’s expression, he shuts it and turns away, exhaling through his nose. He shakes his head a bit before turning back to Rory, his expression softening slightly.
“You’re sure you’re ok?”
“Yes, Jess. I’m ok…”
Jess nods, staying quiet and looking down for a moment. He returns his gaze to Rory and speaks softly.
“I should…probably get going…your mom’s gonna kill me.”
Rory laughs weakly.
“Yeah…get home safe, ok? I’ll deal with it.”
“I don’t care, I just want you to be ok.”
“I am…”
Jess nods a bit, then gently brushes a strand of hair behind Rory’s ear and kisses her. He pulls back and forces a small smile.
“Bye, Rory…”
“Bye, Jess.”
Jess leaves the ER and walks back to where he crashed the car. He sighs heavily and calls someone to come pick it up. Once they do, he just keeps walking. He walks and walks until he reaches the only place he can really feel at peace. A pond tucked away in the outer woods of Stars Hallow. He walks along the bridge, looking at how the moon reflects on the gently rippling water. He takes a breath and bites his cheek before picking up a rock and chucking it into the pond. He paces along the bridge, huffing through his nose like an angry bull before he just gives up.
Defeated, he sits down on the edge of the bridge, his legs dangling over the water, and he pulls out a cigarette and a lighter. He brings it to his mouth, cupping his hand around the flame and keeping it there a bit longer than necessary, feeling the heat against his skin. He finally pulls it away and lets out a puff of smoke, looking around at his empty surroundings. He’s alone. He was supposed to be with his girlfriend, bringing her home safe after a night out, but he screwed that up, just like he does everything. Maybe it’s a sign. He knows he’s no good for her. Rory deserves way better than him, but selfishly, he stays with her. He pursued her.
Would she better off still with Dean? No, fuck that guy, but she certainly shouldn’t be with him. She’d probably been better off if he was never in her life at all, but neither of them had much of a choice in that matter. His mom was just a big a screw up as him, unreliable and sporadic. She didn’t know what the hell to do with him, so she sent him off with his uncle Luke. He didn’t have a say, just packed up and moved to this nothing town with these people who couldn’t like less. Everyone except for Rory, that is.
She just stood out to him. She was smart and witty and kind. Gentle in a way that he never lets himself be. Gentle in a way that he loves being treated. A great contrast to the chaos of his mom, the absence of his dad, and the clumsy discipline of his uncle. They had so much in common, but only she got to truly see that.
He let the smoke fill his lungs, his breath crackling with the burning sensation before he blows it back out. He flicks a couple more rocks into the pond, watching them splash and sink into the murky depths, quickly vanishing from sight. Sometimes he wishes he could do the same. Just disappear. Slip away. Leaving little to nothing behind. Maybe he should just be alone forever. Maybe things would be better that way. Maybe he should pack up on his own accord and just leave. Find the cheapest apartment he can and just disappear, become a shut in, spend his time listening to music and reading and not having to be perceived by anyone on a deeper level. He’d miss having the sorts of feelings someone like Rory gives him, but being alone is better than having to fight all the time.
He’s tired of pushing people away, but he’s no where near wanting to let them in. He just wants to give up. Drop out of school, work enough to get by, and just let the wind take him. He never could if Luke had anything to say about it.
And speak of the devil , here he comes.
In the corner of Jess’ eye, he sees a large figure stepping onto the bridge and walking towards him. Luke stares down at the kid, but doesn’t say anything. Jess takes another breath of smoke and huffs it out, refusing to look up at him. He speaks first, his voice a bit tight despite his best efforts.
“I made sure she was ok…”
“I know you did.”
Luke responds almost immediately. Some more silence passes and Luke sits himself down next to Jess. Jess continues smoking quietly and they both stare off for a while. Eventually, Luke speaks again.
“So…what happened?”
Jess sighs out some smoke and looks away, muttering a bit.
“Some stupid cat or something ran into the middle of the road and I didn’t hit the breaks in time…”
Luke nods. Jess huffs and shakes his head, speaking louder.
“I swerved, like an idiot, but I was trying not to run over the damn thing, and we hit a tree. Rory was stupidly calm about the whole thing and cared more about the animal than she did herself because of course she did, she’s Rory. I immediately took her to the hospital and the doctors said she has a fractured wrist. Not broken, thank god, but fractured, and it’s gonna take a couple months to heal!”
Jess takes another puff of his cigarette.
“I did everything I could and I know this is still just gonna put more shit on me.”
“I’ll deal with it…”
Luke says softly but sternly. Jess just tongues his cheek and shakes his head, looking down again.
“Whatever…”
He brings his cigarette to his lips again and Luke eyes him.
“You really shouldn’t be doing that, you know.”
“I don’t care…”
Luke nods, because of course he doesn’t care. He doesn’t care about anything. Except Rory, apparently. Which is good, Luke thinks, but he wishes that care would grow into something bigger. If Jess couldn’t be better for himself or for Luke, he wishes he at least could be for Rory. Maybe he should be harder on him, he doesn’t know, he’s no parent, but he’s doing his best. Though discipline isn’t what matters right now.
“…are you ok? Physically, I mean…”
Jess scoffs a bit.
“Yeah…I’m perfectly fine…” Jess says with a bit of bite in his voice.
Luke nods a bit. He doesn’t understand the kid, he’s not sure he never will, but the least he can do is make sure he didn’t get hurt.
“We should get you home.”
Jess takes one more puff of his cigarette before quickly putting it out on his jeans, his nose scrunching a bit at the slight burn-through, then he flicks it into the pond and stands up, walking away. Luke watches him for a moment before getting up to follow, and they head back to the diner. Jess immediately walks upstairs to the apartment, slamming the door behind him and dropping onto his bed, turning on his music and opening a book, wanting to drown out reality as much as he can manage. Luke just lets him, figuring he needs some time. Instead, he focuses on checking things out in the diner, making sure he has everything he needs and that everything is picked up.
He looks out the window and notices Rory’s car getting towed. His jaw drops slightly at the damage, and his heart sinks imagining the scene, his concern for Rory and Jess tugging at his heart. He thinks back to when Lorelai had stormed up to him, yelling about how much trouble Jess is, blaming him for letting him stay here and putting Rory in danger. His jaw clenches at the thought, but taking a breath after the fact, he understands. He just wishes he could do more. Rory and Jess deserve more.
