Tomorrow night (4/30) at 7 pm ET, the NCIS fandom is going to hold a power hour on Twitter to target CBS. The goal is to trend #CBSDoesNotCare along with #SaveNCISHawaii.

🚨 DO NOT USE THE CBS HASHTAG BEFORE 7 PM ET ON 4/30 🚨

We NEED to trend so this campaign travels beyond the fandom. People using the CBS hashtag prior to the start time will make it more difficult for us to trend. So plan your tweets. But DO NOT send them before 7 PM ET on 4/30.

#CBSDoesNotCare about:

(1) Their woman of color lead. Vanessa Lachey was the first female and first person of color to lead an NCIS franchise show. CBS blindsided her with the cancellation after she heavily promoted the NCIS franchise's 1000th episode, making three PR appearances in a single day.

(2) The LGBTQ+ community. CBS canceled a show with a lead lesbian couple and massive LGBTQ+ following on the last day of Lesbian Visibility Week after heavily promoting the #Kacy relationship on their socials.

CBS's cancellation of the show sent yet another reminder to queer people that we don't matter. In the words of Lucy Tara: "So why dream?"

(3) The NCIS Cast and Crew. The cast and crew learned about the cancellation at the same time that everyone else did. CBS didn't care that many people had moved to Hawaii permanently because of the show and had families who would be impacted by the cancellation.

(4) The local economy. The cancellation has resulted in the loss of 350-400 local jobs and will cause a substantial impact to the Hawaiian economy. (h/t Treesie).

(5) Harassment Victims. Paramount/CBS ordered an NCIS show starring Michael Weatherly despite paying out $9.5 million in 2018 to settle harassment allegations against him.

Can you edit this to clarify that simple retweets are NOT sufficient. I'm screaming myself hoarse on twitter to no avail about the need to quote tweet rather than regular tweet and people aren't getting the message. We need new tweets to raise the number and get the attention of the algorithm.

NCIS: Hawai’i Renewal Demands - Actions to Take

Since many of us are unable to physically arrive and beat down the doors of CBS, here are a list of actions to be taken. I personally dislike the use of planes, billboards, etc - they’re a waste of money and resources in the current climate, and networks rarely care. Here are a list of direct-to-network actions to take that don’t involve any cost to fans.

1. Contact CBS directly through their feedback form, which you can find here. Select ‘Late Night’ and ‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ when prompted. Within your message, be sure to include the following: why the show is important to you, steps you have taken as a direct result of the news (cancelling Paramount Plus, for example), and a demand for at least a final season. Syncing our demands is particularly important. I know it’s tempting to let all hell break loose, but ultimately, firm demands for at least one final season are significantly more effective.

2. Sign the petition. I know people have mixed feelings on the effectiveness of them, but we’ve hit over seven thousand signatures in less than twenty-four hours. That’s not nothing. You can find it here - please, please ask friends, relatives, whoever else to sign it, even if they aren’t an existing fan.

3. Continue to make a storm on Twitter/X. Use the hashtags #SaveNCISHawaii and #RenewNCISHawaii and tag @/CBS and @/CBSTVStudios in every tweet.

4. Flood their Instagram comments - whether the post itself is NCIS: Hawai’i related or not. Do not allow them to avoid our frustration.

5. Continue to amplify the articles and reviewers who have expressed surprise and disappointment. Ratings and critic reviews hold weight in which shows get renewed and which get cancelled. If SWAT could be revived, there’s no reason NCIS: Hawai’i can’t.

No way any of us saw this coming. Especially with all the VL press and the fucking “this show is the first and blah blah blah” publicity. The interview slip. It’s all SO shocking. Even the Sam Hanna of it all. Why bring him over from his cancelled show just to immediately cancel him again?!

In any case, I’m with you. We keep fighting.

The big picture answer is that Paramount is in the process of a sale/merger & that means slashing costs regardless of if they really need to get slashed. So NCIS Hawaii is a casualty of capitalism and corporate greed. But we can still fight & yell cause image matters and they did so many people dirty here. They might be willing to walk it back if we’re so loud that we get outside attention.

I feel like I felt when First Kill and Warrior Nun were cancelled. This is getting to be a distressing trend. And I'm sorry but WE DONT NEED A GIBBS PREQUEL OR THE TONY AND ZIVA SPINOFF!!!!

We really don’t need those at all. First Kill & Warrior Nun were my last straws with Netflix. I canceled and will never subscribe again. I’ll just watch clips of any sapphic content & if I really wanna watch the full show, I’ll go hang out at my parents’ and use their TV.

I've been slowly going through my old pictures. A few weeks ago I reached March 2016. That month and the ones that follow are 70% Lexa Deserved Better screenshots & 30% pics of my pup, women I don't remember, and my abs 😬 lol

So all of this protesting is kinda fresh in my mind and it's funny to see how the same patterns are playing out. People claiming they want to help and being desperate to save the show yet not actually doing a damn thing to help.

Others drumming up counterproductive ideas.

Some people too deep in their feelings who are sharing them in ways that's dragging the entire mood down.

This is a long shot. But if we don't stay united, we stand no chance. I hope people pull it together cause Monday is gonna be a very important night. It's all gonna depend on the big accounts and whether they're up to the charge of spreading the message. I have a decent amount of followers, but nowhere near enough to make a big impact. So I'm just gonna do what I can and see what happens.

I have a hard time processing the brutal cancellation of NCIS Hawaii. I'm still shocked and devastated by this loss. I had thought that NCIS Hawaii would finally be this show with a wlw main ship that would be a part of our lives and would grow with us for many years to come. Sadly, It's not the case and I'm deeply disappointed and mad.

Despite the cancellation, I'm grateful for this fandom and all the wonderful people who have kept it alive and will continue: your fanfics, gifsets, theories, and headcanons brighten this place, make it super special, and inspire me! I'm also thankful for the lovely, supportive, and heartwarming comments about my gifs. I couldn't imagine my Tumblr without you all. 

Although the show has ended, I don't want to let go of kate and lucy. They belong to us fans now, and it's up to us to keep them alive. I will keep making kacy gifsets and I can promise that there are many more to come.

This is fucking devastating. But I am CHOOSING VERY HARD in this moment to be grateful that in spite of what little we got of this cast and canon show, we got all this beautiful work from your talented self.

The end is ALWAYS hard. But recognizing the good that happened along the way is one of the best ways to deal with it. I'm happy that you're viewing my work as one of those good things. Writing for y'all certainly is one of the good things that this show gave me.

I get why people are always chasing on AGGN as it’s so good but I love your smaller fics as well probably equally. I hate how much pressure people put on that one fic when all of your fics are so good, especially when you’ve asked people to stop chasing!! But tbh any pressure is bad. Not just AGGN pressure. That's just the fic where most of the pressure is coming these days. Jfc this ask box when I finally looked at it after a really long break 🥴 But I had tons of trouble with canon smut last season. One person on Twitter was literally hounding me in multiple DMs to 'post it!' as I was standing there trying to get through the final and very necessary edits. Just no manners and a complete lack self awareness that they were way out of line and actively delaying the very thing they wanted smdh

Posting my progress here’s since I’m off Twitter for the time being. I’m probably a couple of days from getting through what will likely be Week 16 part 1. I’ve added a June ETA to the fic summary. Seeing anything in May is very unlikely at this point. This is the kind of fic where I need really big chunks of uninterrupted time so I can find my flow and just get all the words out.

Unfortunately I don’t have that. I get an hour here and an hour there and I can sometimes steal a few minutes on my phone while Pepperoni is awake. Though I risk her suddenly shifting into Velociraptor mode and drawing blood. So writing is slow as hell and it’s fucking killing me more than it’s killing y’all to wait. Cause there’s very few things more enjoyable than finding that flow and writing for hours and I can’t fucking do it. I start getting good words down and then almost immediately I’m hearing whining and scratching cause nap hour is already over 😤

Stay patient with me. I’ll do my best to stay patient with myself. This fic is gonna get done and it’s gonna be beautiful. But I gotta raise my baby girl right, so that means putting her before my writing.

Hey! I’m new to the Kacy fandom. Just randomly started watching the show earlier this year. Started reading some fanfic and found AGGN. I was going to leave a comment on the fic but they’ve disabled guest comments for now.

Anyway, I’ll leave a comment over there once I get an acct, but wanted to send my support as it sounds like you’re going through a rough time. Hopefully your break from twitter will bring some needed peace. You are a very talented writer and we are all very lucky to have you and others spend your free time sharing your stories with us. So glad to hear you’re respecting your boundaries. I panicked this morning when I woke up and saw your Twitter was deleted! It’s a personal account with intense family following so I sadly cannot follow your main but the turkey fics account is fab for those in my position. Make sure you don’t rush yourself back, enjoy pepperoni and just don’t think about writing unless it’s therapeutic for you. All the best :)
