i don’t know if ofmd will be renewed but even if it won’t, i would actually prefer a s1 type of ending for s2 instead of the one we got. it feels so rushed and forced for ed and stede

are we really back at hating izzy fans for no reason? don’t get me wrong, it’s perfectly valid to dislike a character but it’s just your opinion. people are allowed to have different opinions.

and it’s also very important to criticise pieces of media.

let’s be real, s2 had way more problems than just izzy dying. and we’re supposed to criticise art, creators can’t grow and get better without it. i’m saying it as an artist and an actor myself

i believe in coffee theory, but only halfway. let me explain why:

there’s a lot of attention drawn to coffee this season. they wouldn’t do it, if it wasn’t important at all, it’s like chekhov’s gun - if it’s in the scene, it has to be used at some point. and it’s not even subtle: the coffee is in the opening credits and metatron insists on drinking it, the name of the coffee shop itself is very unusual. besides, aziraphale doesn’t even drink coffee, we always see him with a cup of tea or a glass of wine. in episode 1 he doesn’t get any coffee, even though crowley orders some.

so something is up with coffee.

but i don’t think it’s that simple. aziraphale’s religious trauma has to play a big role too. he doesn’t want to go back to heaven, but he doesn’t think that it’s bad either. maybe he thinks that he can change it and the way things are done because he will be in charge. he doesn’t see that the problem is the system, not the people in power.

i think that he will realise that in season 3 and it will be the reason why he comes back to earth.

or maybe i’m completely wrong and coffee has nothing to do with how aziraphale acts in the end of season 2, but it’s fun to make theories. and that’s what we’re here for - to have fun.
