Yes, I Know I've Been Mucho Dead. Here's What's Going On.

First of all, I want you to know that Spud and I have both put this incident behind us. I’m sure the vast majority of you have. But for those of you who haven’t, I encourage you to do the same. 

Know that me creating a new account doesn’t mean that I intend on forgetting what I did. In fact, it’s quite the contrary. I don’t want to be known as the woman who sent that one mean comment earlier in the year. I want to be known for more. Someone who genuinely enjoys content and tries to support the people on Tumblr here I love, and someone who uses this platform to promote her own writing, as well as some (very occasional) art. I don’t want to be known for this one mistake. And if you want to continue knowing me for this one mistake alone, then I highly suggest that you remain on this account. Because this will be the last post on this one. It is DEAD. Yes, it has been up since the beginning of 2019. But it’s now DEAD. (And two years, even for the exponentially distorted time we experience here on the Internet, isn’t that long.) 

Before you guys send me shit for what happened in January, know one thing: I am well-aware of what I did. I apologized for what I did, I regret what I did, and I’ve been spending an hour of my week since October of 2020 in therapy due to various mental health issues I have, which in no way excuse my behavior even if they did influence them. 

I want you to genuinely know that I never intend on doing this again. In the future, I resolve to make my posts when I am at a calmer state, and a more logical one- I’m normally a very busy person, making posts in the middle of the night, but since this incident, I’ve learned that it would behoove me to make these posts in the morning when I’m calmer. 

As to those of you who are, for some reason, interested in how I’ve been doing personally, I want you to know that I’ve been doing well. I’ve only dwelt on this incident for the length it took me to type this. I’ve had lots of personal successes, including but not limiting to graduating from high school, receiving my Associate’s, and even (very recently) becoming a parent, which is something I’ll only delve into if asked. I apologize for all of the emotional strain that I caused her, and I hope she does well in her future endeavors. 

Oh, and for those of you who decided to wantonly send messages along the lines of “you should kill yourself”, guess which bitch didn’t open her inbox before making this? Hope your ten seconds of time typing that out was worth it. :) (And I apologize for those of you who had genuine criticisms to say to me. I don’t feel like parsing through five months’ worth of more malice-filled messages.)

To everyone who may be involved (or curious), I’m sorry.

(Yes, I know I’m not an influencer. If you don’t want to read this, please scroll on down.)

I would like to clear up quite a few things about what I did to @d1sgust1nqq, and I wanted to give out both an apology and a message to anyone who might be affected by this. 

For those of you who may not be aware, this refers to when I came upon @d1sgust1nqq's blog and realized that the theme matched that of @spudinacup's. Immediately thinking that @d1sgust1nqq ripped off of @spudinacup, I told her this:

"Please tell me you did NOT just fucking rip off of Spudinacup. I highly suggest you go through some major changes to your blog design ASAP, because I DO NOT appreciate, repeat, DO NOT appreciate, when people take the hard work invested by other creators and pawn them off as their own."

Let me elaborate on some things. First, the theme that the both of them shared at the time, and that Spudinacup still uses as of now, is a free theme that is available to anyone on the site. This shows both that I'm relatively new to the site and that I'm not nearly as technologically aware as I should be. And second, let me make no mistake: I don’t want this to be construed as an attempt to gain attention or respect of any kind. I simply saw a situation, misjudged the situation, and acted accordingly. Now I see that this was a big mistake. 

What I did was the result of a rash judgement, and nothing more than the result of a rash judgement. I should have analyzed the situation beforehand, and there are no excuses or justifications that defend me being in the right. Regardless of my intentions, what I did was wrong. And while I can’t do anything at this time and on this platform but type words on a screen, you can ensure that I will do my best to improve upon analyzing all aspects of any given situation before attempting to act, or even attempting to draw the conclusion that someone is being harmed or that someone is doing the harming. 

Spudinacup already said this for you, but I will say it again: this behavior is unacceptable. If you have a suspicion that someone is plagiarizing off of a creator, IT IS NOT YOUR JOB TO DEFEND THEM. No matter how protective of a person you may be IRL, or how much you want to defend them on a matter of pure impulse, it is not your job to defend them. Spud herself has said that should she have any of these sorts of problems, she will address them directly. I know you want to defend your creators and their works, but frankly, doing this on their behalf does nothing but worsen any existing conflicts at hand, embarrass your creator, and hurt the person you’re berating for having “wronged” the creator. 

 I’ve learned this the hard way. Please, take it from me and learn it the easy way.

I’m going to be taking a break from Tumblr for a bit

Namely because due to my long and complicated ancestry, I have a long and complicated set of holidays I will be celebrating until about January 6th. I would get into all of them, but that would probably give the impression that I’m flexing about my ancestry, and I don’t want to make anyone on here feel inferior in the case that they have a different ancestry and aren’t involved in as many celebrations. 

A happy holiday season to all of you, and hopefully 2021 won’t be nearly as hellish as this year was.

Being inspired by some Artbreeder portraits I found on the A:TLA subreddit, I attempted to make realistic portraits of the Lightvale siblings from the Glitchtale (prequel) series.

Since there weren’t a lot of realistic portraits of people with eye colors such as orange and red, I had to stick with brown for Copper and Agate since it was the closest I could get to those eye colors. As for Amber, I tried my best to make her hair color the same as it is in the series without making her older than her actual age. This was fun, though.

(note: I'm going to talk about the United States for now, which is where the majority of your fans live; I can't speak for other countries.) Still, I really think children should be educated on how to properly credit others on the Internet, as well as what plagiarism is. I wasn't taught the majority of this stuff until I was twelve. At the same time, though, if these kids are really wanting to make this sort of content, they need to be taught at least the basics of this stuff, even if the nuances of it can confuse even me, and seem to confuse everyone other than, conveniently, YouTube business officials.

But yeah, at the end of the day, they're just kids having fun. I didn't produce that sort of content when I was that age, but if it were available when I was younger, I probably would have; besides, I made "real-life" content that was equally cringy. People who shit on them are honestly pieces of shit themselves who are both doing the timeless tactic of projecting their own fears on these literal children and are straight-up conveniently forgetting how vulnerable they constantly felt at that age and the things they were willing to do to at least feel as if they're part of the community.

I see a lot of people making seemingly low-effort "Gacha reacts" to your videos without crediting at all, what are your thoughts on those?
