In 2023, I did a music challenge I came up with based on InkTober to spur me into making more. I did 15 songs over the course of the month, giving myself 2 days per song to complete each one. Though with how I procrastinate... I definitely did not take advantage of all of the time that I had. Even still, I made all the songs by the end of that month.

I wanted to post them and planned to do artwork for each one, but my motivation (or lack thereof, rather) got the better of me, so these songs sat untouched in my files and never did see the light of day. I'm changing that.

They're not amazing by any means, but I have always shared my art regardless of how good I was at it. I have actively shared drawings I hated over the years because I think shitty art and showing your shitty art is important. Everyone cultivates their feeds, their posts, everything they show, so you only ever see their best. So you only ever think they live in "the best". But that's never freakin true, so I'm sharing my shit ass art with you. And you can listen to my shitty music too, which I was quite proud of actually, and am. It's still shit, but I am proud of it, parts of it, and I'm excited to get better and that I can see a million ways I'd want to improve from them.

These songs encapsulate so many ideas and fantasies and have become intertwined with all the stories I love coming up with. And I've finally done all the cover art for them, so you will be seeing them all before July.

First drawing I ever did in Procreate :) Drew the sketch in Medibang initially, but then my new tablet arrived, so I used it to mess around! Colored this entirely with my finger also, lmao... cause my pen hadn't arrived yet.

So far I like it a lot!! And I have a pen now!
