59 Seconds, Think a little, change a lot - Recipe for happiness
What do we need to be happy?
According to Richard Wiseman, all we need is pencil, diary/notebook, good acts and gratitude.
Then from Monday to Friday:
1) list 3 things you are thnakful for
2) perfect moment - describe how you felt, what was going around
3) dreamed future - realistic, but as your dreams come true
4) loves one - short letter confessing your feelings and saying how much that person means to you
5) something nice - 3 things you did well last week
I will start next week hopefully :)
Don’t forget that:
- buy experiences not things
- it is better to give than take
- smile more often, at least 15-30 seconds in one go
- get straight
- act as you are happy
Beetween intentional change and occasional change, there is only one difference - effort. So put some in.

Stage 1 - Day 2 - Fast 800
Hi.
So day one is over. Proud of myself :) I had omlette for luch and then pearl barley salad for supper, with way to much onion.
Despite a night shift I managed not to eat for 12 hours. My Time Restricted Eating will be 6p.m. to 6 a.m. most of the time.
For breakfast today 2 boiled eggs and avodaco again. I must think of something different for lunch and then stick to leftover salad for tonight. Surely not my favourite salad;p

The Fast 800 - Stage 1
As I am going to start tommorrow I have to prepare sort of a plan to avoid morning chaos.
1. I decided to go straight to Very Fast 800, which should last at least 2 weeks and that is my first goal - 800 calories a day. After that time, depending on results (weight loss, my mood and mind, being able to stick to it) I may continue for a bit longer or go to mode 5:2 - 5 days of healthy eating and 2 days of 800 calories fast. I allow myself an option of stopping for a while as well, as the author of the book says this seems to work for some people too. Hope for this as last option though:)
2. Side effects are; passing a lot of urine, tiredness, headache. I may struggle a bit with meals as I haven’t done proper shopping prior to do. Plan is to eat what I have and see if it still works. To reasess after 2 weeks.
3. TRE - Time Restricted Eating - This should have been at least 12 hours with no calories. I will go for 6 p.m. to 6.a.m. as I do night shifts. Should work. Within those “fasting”12 hours I can only drink water, black tea, herbal tea and black coffee.
4. Exercise - I am not good at it, so will try to do a bit.
5. Dealing with creavings :
- IT WILL PASS! approach
- getting busy
I will weigh myself tommorrow morning.
Good night.
