The Essence of the true Gospel
Thoughts on Grace -
On the topic of grace there is a lot to be said and already there is much said. But the Bible is the solid ground on which any topic is to be considered.
First of all I would like to establish that grace is not the licence to sin and my conviction is strongly in accordance with Romans 6:15-16. Every law and word of God is truth. Grace is the undeserved favour God gives to us and it empowers us to…

Engaging with the Word
This time, we're moving from just reading the word to actually engaging with the word of God.
Bible prophecy is not limited to the days in which they were spoken. It is not limited because the words written in it came from an infinite Being who is not confined by the boundaries of time.
God is not limited by time, neither is His word. The same word which performed in Genesis performs today – there is power in the word of God. This power is not trapped in an ancient book which is…

The Seen and the Unseen
Should we always believe what we see? Should we just accept what we see as our reality? This week I'm reflecting on the seen and the unseen realities all because of hope. Let me know your thoughts after you read. x
Belief in the Most High God, positions us in a place where we are always presented with two realities:
1 – the reality of present circumstances
2 – the reality of the kingdom of God
One is passing, the other is certain.
One requires physical eyes to see, the other requires eyes of understanding to see.
One is seen, the other is unseen. (more…)

Embracing the Body of Christ
Is it possible to declare love for God and not love His people?
One of the ways in which we know we have truly tapped into the divine is when Jesus becomes the object and source of our love. As a result we will have a healthier relation and love towards others. When Jesus becomes the source and object of our affection, we embrace His body. (more…)

More to Discover
There is always more to discover in life.
The journey of discovery in life can be harsh sometimes. Things don’t always go as planned. For example, circumstances can cause us to lose those who are dear to us. Maybe our body is not functioning as it was designed to. Perhaps, others have entered, invaded and violated us in ways unimaginable. Perhaps we find ourselves in places torn by violence, where we would never wish ourselves or others…

Access the Divine
An invitation to access the Divine :-)
There is an open invitation to access the divine today. The divine carries together Gods presence, His essence, His ways and His works. There are two ways in which God may reveal Himself to us: “He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel.” Acts are solid, ways can be altered. Acts show, ways are experienced. God deliberately takes us through processes where we don’t…

Running the Word
The word of God has a path and we're going to run the course of it.
A king does not run to deliver a word but rather his word runs ahead of him. That word carries the same measure of power and authority regardless of his presence. This can be said about the word of God – it carries power and authority to run and deliver. After all, “where the word of a king is, there is power; And who may say to him, “what are you doing?” The word of God has a path – a trajectory…

The Chief Word
This week we're discovering the Chief Word Himself!
Every living thing has a voice. Humans and animals have a mouth through which their voices project. Nature has a voice through its beauty. Creation declares the majesty of God because looking at the sky, the mountains, the flowers, the living creatures, the universe and everything in it, it is all a wonder. A wonder which speaks beauty, design and wisdom – there is clearly nothing accidental…

The Running Word
The irrepressible power of Gods running word - know His word and you will know Him.
Continuing from the previous post on discover the word, it seemed fit to dwell longer on the Word. Words are expressions of what is in the heart and mind. It is when the tongue is set in motion that the secrets of the heart are revealed.  If ever you want to know the heart of an individual, simply listen closely to the words they speak. Anyone who desires to know God cannot bypass His word. We…

Discover the Word
The gems of life are hidden like a treasure in the word, awaiting discovery....
The Word was first settled in heaven before it became flesh on earth. After it became flesh, it was crucified, resurrected, ascended and as it stands it is once again settled in heaven. Everything settled in heaven is forever. The word is settled in heaven therefore we are to set our mind on the things above, acquiring knowledge from above through the word. The Spirit of God then sheds light on…

The Glory of His Reign
The Glory of His Reign
Christ reigns. He is divinely sovereign. In His sovereignty and rule we are to experience a divine life above and beyond. He is seated on a throne from whence proceeds thunder, lightening and voices. The picture of One seated on the throne in the book of revelations is a depiction of glory in its fullness. There are many kings but non are so high and lifted up as Christ. The glory which surrounds…

Mystery
One of the beauty of God’s Divinity is mystery. While this divine attribute is beautiful and attractive, it is not easily embraced. Naturally, we find the divine things which we don’t understand threatening therefore they become foolishness in order for us to appear wiser. “Yet the foolishness of God is wiser than men” Mystery is beautiful in several ways because of the element of surprise. The…

Knowing Love
When Christ is present, love is present.
The presence of Christ brings us into the reality of His love. Knowledge of His love can be intellectual and without experience. However there is a knowledge which comes by possession and experience. It is the kind that keeps us coming back to Him. Intellectually knowing the love of God can still cause an individual to remain in a place where they cannot experience that love. Christ is not only…

The Present Christ
Knowing the present Christ
Consider the work Jesus did for mankind on the cross. Consider the work He continues to do in heaven as Advocate and Intercessor. Furthermore, consider what His Spirit is doing here on earth. Now consider how present He is. For anyone who does not believe in the divinity of Christ this will most likely be nonsense however, to those who believe, we know that Christ dwells in us. The message of the…

Death and Resurrection
To know Him, and the power of His resurrection
Languages express how we see things rather than the reality of those things. For example, there is a vision of darkness and disorder whenever death is brought up as a subject because it is seen as an end – a final omega. However the reality is “God is not a God of the dead but of the living”. Jesus Christ is the solid evidence of this truth. Jesus as the Son of God was not the Christ without the…
