Whumpril Prompt #24
No time to rest
TW: sleep deprivation, alcohol, threats
Whumpee hurried around the kitchen, trying to get everything right in the least amount of time. They cooked, cleaned, organized, and finally they were happy with the way it looked, both dinner and the room. They picked up the plates and brought them over to the table where whumper was waiting.
“Finally, whumpee. What took you so long?” Whumper drawled. They sat slumped in their chair, their hat askew, rolling a cigarette between their teeth.
They were drunk.
“Sorry sir,” whumpee whispered. They did not want to get on Whumpers bad side when they were intoxicated, especially this badly.
Whumper waved their hand, as if dismissing the problem. Whumpee quickly set down the plates and retreated to the corner where they stayed during whumpers dinner parties.
Whumpees friends were there too, though they kept strangely quiet during that whole affair. Their dinner started, and finally one of them broke the silence.
“You know, if that were my whumpee, I wouldn’t let them treat me like that,” they declared loudly.
Whumper growled. “If it were your whumpee, they wouldn’t even be able to serve dinner. Mind your own business.”
Oh no.
Whumpee was going to be punished. Whenever whumpers friends make snide comments like that, whumper punishes whumpee for not being good enough.
Whumpee spent the rest of the dinner in terrified anticipation.
After dinner, whumpee finished cleaning up the table and the kitchen, then made sure everything was ready for whumper to go to bed. They were quite drunk now, and they stumbled to their bed.
“Oh, whumpee,” they slurred. “Before you go to sleep, I want you to paint the living room. And I want it to be perfect. If it’s not perfect, you don’t get food for a week. Then I want you to tear off the carpet from the stairs and the dining room. It’s ugly. Once it’s all off, I want you to replace it with wood panels. Pick a good color.” They continued on, listing task after task. Whumpee was honestly surprised they were able to get it all out with how much alcohol they’d consumed that night.
“And I want you to do all of this before you go to bed. No time to rest, you don’t get to sleep until it’s finished. Goodnight!”
Whumpee left the room horrified. How were they going to get all of that done without any sleep?
They solemnly got the paint out from the basement and began to paint.

Whumpril Prompt #23
Presumed Dead
TW: Imprisonment, poison, almost death
“I’m gonna get you outta there,” was the last thing whumpee heard. They didn’t know who said it- it had sounded like a girl. That’s all they knew.
It was kind of hard to hold on to a hope that someone gives you and you don’t even know who it is. It’s also kind of hard when that person said that seven weeks ago. Hope is something that’s a little scarce in this dungeon.
Whumpee was bored. They were sitting with their back to the wall, watching through the bars. In the cell across from them was another person, and they were crazy. Like, literally crazy. This person was the most spontaneous person whumpee had ever met, and they hadn’t even talked to each other. They would randomly jump up from their bed and start pacing, or they would try to crawl under the bed, or they would see if they could climb the walls, and that wasn’t even the weirdest of it. Whumpee was utterly baffled.
One day, the person leans through their bars.
“Hey, psst. You.” They stage whispered. Whumpee looked around. They were the only two in the dungeon.
“What?” They said in their normal voice.
“Shhhhh!! You’re gonna wake them up!” The person said. Whumpee looked towards the guards, and they were both asleep.
"what?" They whispered. They leaned forward to the bars to better see the person.
"im jeff, whats your name?" the person asked in a hurry.
“Uh, whumpee. Why?” They replied.
“Ok, so here’s the plan, whumpee,” Jeff plowed on. “Those guards are gonna be asleep for at least 10 more minutes. I can pick this lock and yours, but that would just be suspicious and we would get caught. So instead, I’m gonna pick my lock and give you this.” He extended his hand.
There, resting gently in the palm of Jeff’s hand, was a flower.
“Where did you get this?” Whumpee asked.
“I grew it under my bed. But that’s not the point. The point is that this plant is poisonous, just enough so that you will go unconscious and your heartbeat will slow down a ton. Once you pass out, I’ll go back to my cell and yell for the guards that you just collapsed. They’ll take you up to the medic, where you should be waking up by then. The flower only lasts for a couple minutes. Once you wake up, find a way to escape and come back for me.” Jeff finished.
Whumpee sat back. That sure was one heck of a plan.
“How do you know I’ll come back and get you?” Whumpee asked.
Jeff smiled. “I know who you are whumpee. I know you’ll come back for me. I trust you.” He bent over and picked the lock quickly, then came to Whumpees cell.
He reached his hand through the bars and dropped the flower into Whumpees.
“Just eat the whole thing, and you’ll be out in seconds.”
Whumpee brought the flower up to their lips and put it in their mouth. They began to chew.
“Wait, how do I-”. Whumpee slumped to the ground.
Jeff walked back to his cell, closed the door, locked it, took a deep breath, and yelled.

Whumpril Prompt #22
Stoicism Breaks
TW: starvation, chains, hunger, taunting, begging
If whumper had to pick one word in the dictionary to describe whumpee, it would be stoic. According to the dictionary, that means indifferent to pleasure or to pain.
Whumper was going to break them.
Whumpee pushed their anger deep down in their gut. They can’t afford to let it out- it would just hurt them or someone else.
But with each passing day, it was getting harder and harder to keep it suppressed. It was also getting harder and harder to have the energy to do anything else. Whumper wasn’t feeding them.
It had been 6 days. They were keeping count. Whumpee read somewhere that someone can last up to two months without food as long as they had water, and there was more than enough water in the cave they were being kept in.
Water seeped through the walls and on the ground, leaving dark puddles randomly on the floor. The dark didn’t help whumpee avoid them, so they were constantly either damp or dripping from the wetness.
But just because they had a lot of water didn’t mean they weren’t hungry.
It was 15 days since whumper last brought food. Whumpee spent most of their time lying on the floor trying not to shiver to death. They wished death would take them.
20 days. Whumpee didn’t move when whumper came down.
“Oh whumpee, I think you’ll like this! I have a little surprise for you!”
Whumpee still didn’t move. Whumper didn’t care- they came over and dropped a tray in front of them.
Whumpees mouth started watering before they even opened their eyes. There on the tray was what whumpee could only describe as a feast. There was so much food piled on that they knew they wouldn’t be able to finish it all in one sitting.
Whumpee continued to ignore whumper, but instead weakly sat up and began to scarf down the food. But before they could get very far, whumper pulled the tray away.
Whumpee looked at them with more menace in their eyes than whumper had ever seen.
“My my, whumpee, getting a little greedy, are we?” They taunted.
If whumpee didn’t have their ankle chained to the ground, they would have throttled whumper right then and there.
“Do you want the food?” Whumper asks sweetly. Whumpees stomach was growling in protest, and they could barely move from weakness. If they didn’t eat, they were going to die.
“Yes,” whumpee whispered, voice raw from disuse.
“Ah ah ah, what’s the magic word?” Whumper grinned toothily at them. If whumpee didn’t die from hunger, they would have died from embarrassment. But they couldn’t not do it; they were starving.
A barely audible “please” passed through Whumpees lips, their face red and their stomach growling.
Whumper grinned even wider as they pushed the tray toward them, pleased with themself as they reflected on the fact that this whumpee had never said please to them, and that this whumpee had been known as the strongest one of the rival team.
Well, not strong enough for whumper, apparently.

Whumpril Prompt #21
“Just Hold On”
TW: whip, torture, chains, kidnapping
“Why do you have to make this so difficult?” Whumper asked through gritted teeth. Whumpee couldn’t hear them. Blood was rushing through their ears and their vision was going black on the edges.
Whumper growled, frustrated. They walked around whumpee, who was chained with their arms wrapped around a post in the middle of the room. There were bars on the other side of the post for whumpee to hold on to, both to make it easier for whumper to whip them and for whumpee to have something to grab and support themselves. Whumpee must not understand.
“Just hold on! It is not that difficult!” Whumper grabbed both of Whumpees wrists and chained them to the bars. “This has to help.”
They circled back around. Whumpees fingers were wrapped feebly around the bars. Whumper nodded, then grabbed the whip.
Whumpee was just falling into the darkness when they felt the most sudden, burning rip against their back. They arched their back, gripping the bars as their eyes flew open.
“There we go!” Whumper smiled, pleased that it worked. “Now just don’t let go!” Whumper pulled the whip back again and whumpee relished the cold metal in their hands.
Just hold on, they thought.
Just hold on.

Whumpril Prompt #20
Touch Starved
TW:
Whumpee was alone.
Whumpee was nearly always alone now. Before, they had a life. They had friends. They even had a lover. But now, they were alone.
Unfortunately, there were times when they were not alone. It is unfortunate because the only times whumpee is not alone is when whumper is with them, and that is worse.
Whumper is a torturer. For fun. Who does that?
Whumper does the normal torture things, like cutting, and burning, and all the typical stuff. But their favorite is psychological torture. Whumpee is learning that the hard way.
In all the time that whumper has had whumpee, they have never touched, skin on skin. Whumper has always had a pole, or a whip, or something else similar. If they had to touch, whumper would wear thick, cold gloves.
And whumper never spoke. Whumpee found that out the hard way too. Speaking is not allowed. If whumpee speaks, they don’t get food for a week, and they are left in solitary. This happened so often in the beginning that when whumper finally came to let them out, whumpers face was like a terrible angel. Whumpee had never been so glad to see someone they hated so much.
All of this meant that when caretaker finally found whumpee, they didn’t believe it.
Whumpees door creaked open, and they looked blearily up from the floor. The light was bright behind the person, and all they could see was a silhouette.
The shadow walked slowly towards them, and their eyes adjusted to the light. This was not whumper.
Whumpee shrunk back into the corner, desperately afraid. They hadn’t seen someone other than whumper since before they were taken. They must be dead.
“Hey there,” the shadow said. Their voice was loud and grated against Whumpees ears. “I’m caretaker, what’s your name?”
Whumpee shook their head, eyes wide and frightened.
“That’s ok, you don’t have to tell me. Is it alright if I sit next to you?” Caretaker advanced.
Whumpee shrunk even further back, but caretaker was undeterred. They plopped down right in front of them, criss-cross-applesauce.
“I need to ask you some questions, but it’s ok if you don’t want to talk. Just nod yes or no, ok?” Caretaker assured.
Whumpee nodded.
“Have you been here a long time?”
Whumpee nodded.
“Have you been hurt?”
Whumpee nodded.
“Can we help you get out of here?”
Whumpee started. Get out of here? What do they mean, get out of here? That’s impossible. They tried. But… maybe these people knew how to? Speaking of that, how did caretaker even get in here in the first place? Who are these people? Maybe they aren’t with whumper after all; maybe they really do want to help them!
Whumpee slowly nodded. Caretaker smiled.
“Lovely. Can you stand?”
Whumpee shook their head. They hadn’t been able to stand up since whumper broke both of their legs.
“That’s ok, I can help you. Can I help you?” Caretaker was being awfully nice.
Whumpee nodded, and caretaker leaned over and took their hand.
Oh my. Caretaker was holding their hand. It was warm, and soft, and inviting. Whumpee was going to be sick. They pulled their hand back swiftly as if it had been burned, and cradled it to their chest.
“Oh, are you alright? Did I hurt you?” Caretaker was worried. For whumpee. Caretaker took their hand. And it felt good.
What was whumper going to do? Would they put them in solitary for weeks? Months? How much food would they get? Touching is definitely not allowed.
But before whumpee could keep stressing, they felt strong arms wrap around them.
Whumpee immediately tensed, freaking out. But it was so warm, and comforting, and soft.
Whumpee couldn’t do anything but melt into the feeling and allow caretaker to gently lift them up off the ground and carry them away.

Whumpril Prompt #19
“I Need You”
TW: implied torture, implied brainwashing, hospitalization, jail
Caretaker paced back and forth in front of Whumpers cell. They had finally been caught, they had finally found whumpee, and all was well.
But, unfortunately, all was not well.
Whumper was not guilty with what they did. They were smug and egotistical and none of it made sense. Why would whumper be glad they were caught? They’re just going to live their life in prison. Caretaker was befuddled.
They walked toward the room whumpee was being treated in. Whumpee had not had a good time. Once caretaker and their team had found them, they were nearly dead from hypothermia and blood loss, not to mention the plentiful other injuries just waiting to be revealed. But caretaker was most worried about the internal injuries; the mental ones.
Whumpee hadn’t woken up since they had been found, but when caretaker walked in, their eyes were open.
“Hey, whumpee. How’s it going?” Caretaker asked as gentle as they could. Whumpees eyes were darting around the room quickly, trying to sort things out in their mind.
The words came out in a rush. “Where am I? Who are you? Where’s whumper? What are you doing to me?”
“Whoa, whoa. Slow down there, whumpee. You’re in the hospital, you were pretty sick.” Caretaker answered. “I’m caretaker- you know me. Whumper is in the hospital cells waiting to be taken to real prison. We are just trying to help you.”
Whumpees eyes were still frantic, and their voice was rising. “What do you mean ‘i know you’? I’ve never met you. Where’s whumper? Why are they in a cell? Let me see them!”
Caretaker took a few small steps towards whumpee. “It’s alright, you don’t remember what happened. We can help you.”
Whumpee was shrieking now. “No, I don’t know who you are! Let me see whumper! Where are they? Take me to them!!”
“Ok, ok. It’s alright. We’ll take you to whumper.” Caretaker assured. This is a terrible idea.
Caretaker helps whumpee into a wheelchair and pushes them down the hall to the hospital cells. The bars were spaced evenly apart, and whumper was sitting on a cot with their head in their hands. At the sound of the wheelchair, they looked up.
Their face split into a grin when they saw whumpee. “Whumpee, I was so worried! Are you ok? What did they do to you?” They rushed to the bars.
“I’m ok whumper, they haven’t done anything yet,” whumpee said. Caretaker did not like the casual way they were taking. What was happening? They also didn’t like how they said ‘yet’.
“Why are you in jail?” Whumpee continued. “You haven’t done anything wrong. Can you come out?” They turned to caretaker. “Can they come out?”
Caretaker shook their head. “No, they can’t come out. They are too dangerous.”
Whumpee looked distressed. “Please? Or, can I at least go in to talk to them?”
What was going on? Whumper tortured whumpee for months, and now whumpee wanted to go into the only thing separating them to talk? No way.
“I’m sorry whumpee, i cant let you." caretaker tried to calm them down.
"hey." whumper said from behind the bars. "its ok. you don’t have to worry about me."
whumpee leaned forward and touched their hands on the bars.
"but i need you"

Whumpril Prompt #18
Broken Glass
TW: PTSD, cuts, self deprecation, body dysmorphia
Whumpee had been home for nearly half a year now. They still struggled every day.
Whumper broke them. When caretaker found them, chained up, shivering on the cold ground in the dungeon, they thought it would be simple. It was not.
Not only did whumpee have wounds covering nearly every part of their body, but their mind was wounded as well. When with whumper, they lost all of their self esteem. They didn’t think they deserved anything, and they were so beat down and broken that they didn’t even realize what whumper did to them.
Caretaker was trying so hard, but sometimes it just felt like it was not working. Today was one of those days.
Caretaker came home from work in good spirits. They had gotten a lot done today, and on the way home they were able to stop and buy some treats for a movie night tonight. But when they opened the door, it was unusually quiet.
Since whumpee had been back, they liked to hum or sing to themselves to remind them that they could do what they wanted- with whumper, they could never make a sound. They were a beautiful singer.
But whumpee was silent. Caretaker carefully set their things down, then walked quickly and quietly through the house.
“Whumpee? Where are you?” They called softly as they passed each room. They noticed the bathroom door was closed and light leaking out from under it. They knocked gently on the door. “Whumpee, are you alright? Can I come in?”
There was no answer. “Ok, I’m coming in.” Caretaker gently opened the door and peeked in.
Surrounded by broken glass with tears streaming down their face, whumpee sat in the middle of the bathroom floor. “Oh whumpee,” caretaker soothed. They went and sat down next to whumpee, disregarding the cuts they were getting from the glass on their legs.
Caretaker enveloped whumpee in their arms. “Are you alright?” They asked. Whumpees crying had slowed down, and they were wiping their eyes with the back of their hand.
“I don’t know caretaker, I was just trying to take a shower without needing help, and I saw in the mirror, and I just- I-” whumpee hiccuped. They continued in a whisper, almost ashamed of saying it out loud. “It scared me, caretaker. My own reflection scared me. How pathetic is that?” New tears started leaking down their face as they stared dejectedly at the floor. “I just didn’t realize how much whumper changed me.”
Caretaker didn’t really know what to say to that. It was true that before whumper, whumpee was stunning. They had perfect skin and long eyelashes, but now… not so much. When caretaker found them, they honestly didn’t recognize them for a second. But that is definitely not what they should say to whumpee now.
Caretaker scooted in front of whumpee and held their shoulders. “Look at me whumpee.” Whumpees eyes looked up at them through their eyelashes. “You are beautiful. You were beautiful before whumper and you are beautiful now. Change can be hard and scary, but you are doing amazing. I look at you every day and marvel at your strength and courage. You are beautiful. Do you believe that?”
Whumpees eyes shone with tears.
“I don’t know yet, but I think I might soon.”
Caretaker beamed. “That’s good enough for me. Wanna watch a movie?”
Whumpees lips formed a small smile. “Ok, I’d like that.”
They stood up together and walked toward the couch.
“But no more romcoms.”

So I just keep thinking about something along the lines of de-aging, like making someone act younger than they are?
Like imagine if whumper says something like “only a baby would be stupid enough to escape”, then as punishment, treat them like a baby
- forcing them to have a pacifier (binky) in their mouth at all times, not allowing them to take it out
- having them sleep in a large crib (or even better, an actual baby crib so they have to squeeze and maybe not even fit?)
- only giving them baby food, not letting them feed themselves
- swaddling them up in blankets so tight they can barely move and then carrying them everywhere (works especially well with small Whumpees)
- putting those child door handles on the door knobs (knowing that it won’t work, but punishing them if they try)
- only ever putting on baby shows
- making them sit in some sort of high chair or a chair with a table thing in front so they cant get out and their food is right there
Imagine too if the whumpee was originally so defiant, but slowly gave into the fact that they are just a baby, they can’t do anything for themselves, and they need whumper to care for them
This has just kinda been mulling around in my brain for a while and I actually love it

Whumpril Prompt #17
Hallucination
TW: kidnapping, fever, restraints, possessiveness
“Mom, I think I’m sick. I don’t think I should go to school today.” Whumpees head pounded. Their throat was dry and their tongue felt swollen and heavy in their mouth.
“Mooom, please,” they whined. “I don’t think I can make it”. They tried to roll over in their bed but found themselves restricted for some reason. They pulled, and realized that it was at their wrists and ankles.
Slowly they gained consciousness, blinking blearily into the darkness. Their hands and feet were chained to the corners of the bed, spread eagle. The blanket was draped over them.
“Shhh honey, don’t worry. It’s just a little fever,” a voice said next to them.
“Mom?” Whumpee was confused. Why would mom chain them to the bed?
They tugged at the restraints. “Mom, wh -ugh-why am I -ugh- chained to the bed?” They kept pulling, chafing their skin.
“Don’t worry sweetie; it’s just a precaution to make sure you’re safe. We don’t want you scurrying away, now do we?” The voice was soothing, and calm. Why was whumpee afraid? It actually wasn’t too uncomfortable if they weren’t pulling. The mattress was soft and the pillow was cool, and they were so tired.
“Mkay mom… I don’t have to go to school though, right?” They mumbled.
“No dear, you’ll stay right here with me,” the voice responded. Whumpees breathing evened out as they quickly fell back asleep.
“You’ll be here with me forever.”

Whumpril Prompt #16
Coughing Fit
TW: blood, hiding injuries, coughing, passing out
At first, it was just small. You figured you were just getting a cold, probably because of the lack of sleep you’re getting from trying to get all of your school work done.
So when you start coughing up blood, you decide that you have a problem.
But, you are so busy. And you don’t want your friends to worry. And your parents will just think you’re trying to get out of school. So you don’t tell anyone.
Google says to drink lots of water, so you start carrying a water bottle around. You take bathroom breaks often so you can cough without people in class worry your dying.
But it gets worse. Every time you cough, more and more blood comes up. You think it’s time to see the doctor. You plan to talk to your parents about it when you get home from school, so until then you just gotta stick it out.
That’s why it’s a problem when you start having a coughing fit so intense you can’t breathe.
Your lungs feel like they are shattering, your throat is on fire, you’re running out of oxygen.
You fall to the ground, your legs unable to support you anymore, and you roll to the side in a feeble attempt not to choke on your own blood.
You can’t get a deep breath, and the edges of your vision are going black. What class are you in again? Oh… right….. health. That’s ironic.
Was that last thing you thought before you passed out.

Whumpril Prompt #15
Mind Games
TW: brainwashing, non-con psycho analyzation (idk if that’s a word but I think it makes sense), torture, memory loss
I just love psychological warfare. I’ve been reading up on it quite a bit, and it is just so interesting. I know that sounds a bit wrong, but I can’t help it!
Brainwashing is just *chefs kiss*. When my pets are bad, they just get another round and it is absolutely lovely!!!
The blank stares in their eyes when I am finished is the bane of my existence. Unfortunately, none of my pets have been too terrible lately, so I haven’t been able to do it for a while. Maybe I’ll do it just for fun!!!
PET POV
Master is terrifying. Her mind games are awful. Sometimes we can tell when she is getting into that mood- she gets restless, and gets angry quickly, just waiting for one of us to mess up so she can experiment on us some more. It happened yesterday to number 7. He accidentally tripped- he is supposed to be the graceful one. Master didn’t even hesitate- she just grabbed his ear and tugged him to the room. When 7 came out a couple hours later, all the blood was drained from his face and he couldn’t even remember where our room was. I had to feed him because he couldn’t do it himself.
This meant that when master came out of the room, normally she would have been satisfied.
But today something was wrong. She wasn’t as normal and chipper as she typically was after a session. Instead, her face was dark and she looked the same as before. She walked out, and made eye contact with me. Crap.
She came over to me and I quickly looked down, trying to do my work with her staring.
“Number three?” She huffed. I looked up meekly.
“Yes, master?” This was going terribly.
“Come with me to the room.” She turned and walked back to the room. I was horrified. She already had a session! She never does two in one day! What did I do wrong??
I slowly stepped over to the room and opened the door. Master stood behind a table with arm and leg restraints. She beckoned.
“Come, lay down.”

Whumpril Prompt #12
Weak Pulse
TW: blood loss, blood, cuts, implied torture, implied death
The amount of blood Alice was losing was not ok. The cuts and gashes all around her body were dripping with it, but the real culprit was her leg. There was a long slice all the way from the inside of her ankle to just above her knee, and it was gushing.
Alice lay on the floor of the dungeon, her eyelids fluttering and her skin pale and clammy.
Eric knelt next to her. “You gotta stay with me Alice, just keep trying. Don’t fall asleep.” He wasn’t sure if she would wake back up if she fell asleep. He was applying pressure to the wound on her leg, but it wasn’t doing much. The shirt he was holding to it was completely soaked through. He tried tying it around, but the cut was too long for it to work properly.
He frantically grabbed her hand and searched for her pulse.
It was far too weak. He could barely feel it. He pressed two fingers against her neck, hoping for more of a response, but it was just as faint. He turned back to her leg, doing his best to make it stop flooding blood.
She grabbed his arm. “Eric,” she wheezed. “It’s ok. I wasn’t going to make it anyways. We both knew this.” Her face was dangerously white.
Eric shook his head, his eyes shining with tears. “No! We said we would get through this together, you said you would stay with me!” Tears were streaming down his face, unable to keep them in. He fell over her, grasping her shoulders and trying to keep her there.
“Please, stay with me,” he whispered.
Alice looked at him with her big eyes, seeming to say a thousand things at once without saying a single thing at all.
“I’ll be with you always.”

Whumpril Prompt #11
Can’t Sleep
TW: flashbacks, ptsd, violence, threatening, panic attack
Every time Adrian closes his eyes, he sees things. Scary things, things he wishes he would forget. But he doesn’t, so they just stay in his brain.
He really tries to sleep. He knows it’s important! But as soon as he starts nodding off, he jerks back awake.
He was explaining it to his friend the other day. “You know how sometimes when you go to sleep in like a loud room or something, and your so tired, but just as your starting to fall asleep someone says something, and your heart jerks back up? Or when you are falling asleep in a place you know you shouldn’t be, so your brain keeps trying to kickstart you, but you keep nodding off? That’s what it’s like every night.”
“Aw man dude,” his friend had said. “That’s the worst. I’m sorry.” His friend hadn’t been much help.
In the kitchen, Adrien was fixing up a midnight snack, because he gets bored in the night. Suddenly his hands bump a bowl, and it falls to the ground, shattering. Adrien stumbles back, his mind reeling.
“You sure are putting up a fight,” a voice drawled from the dark. Adrien stood in a corner, fists in front of his face, warily looking around for where the voice came from. “Oh, don’t be silly. I’m not actually in the room with you. Just my henchmen.”
Suddenly, out of the darkness swarmed dozens of armored men, holding all sorts of different weapons. Guns, swords, maces, nunchucks, you name it, it was there.
“The only requirement is that they don’t kill you. That’s my part. But they will break you.” The men surged forward and started beating Adrien up. The sounds were thunderous, and he thought he might go deaf.
Adrien was sitting on the floor in the corner, breathing heavily. He could feel ghost pains all over his body from where they hurt him, but the wounds were long healed. He stayed there for a couple more minutes that felt like hours, before he took some deep breaths and found himself. He stood up and cleaned up the mess, finished fixing his snack, and went to his desk where he opened his laptop to work.
Adrien’s friend pulled away from the corner where he had been watching the whole scene. He hadn’t gone in because he didn’t know what to do- he knew he was a coward. But he also knew he needed to help his friend.

Whumpril Prompt #10
Adrenaline
TW: guns, threatened shooting, threatened death, fighting, broken bones (implied), cool fight scenes (I hope)
They say that when someone is filled with adrenaline, they can lift more than 100 times their body weight.
Sarah doesn’t know where she heard that, but it made sense then. It doesn’t make sense now.
She is in the most terrifying and adrenaline filled time in her life, and she can’t even move. Her body is locked up, and her eyes swivel around the scene in front of her.
Four men stand in front of her with guns drawn. One of them in the middle gestures around with his firearm.
“Nice place you’ve got here, kid,” he drawls out. Sarah is trembling so hard she’s worried she’s going to fall over.
“What do you want?” Her voice was weak, and it cracked. She cringed inside. How the heck were these randos going to take her seriously if she can’t even sound fierce?
“Boss wants ya,” the middle guy said. “He don’t give us reasons, just the orders. And we follow through.” He paused for a moment, as if trying to remember something. “Oh right, and he didn’t care if you came alive or… not that, so I would behave if I were you.”
Sarah was going to die. She was too young to die! She just bought this house!! Her parents were still alive, her grandparents were still alive! Heck, her great grandpa was still alive, and that’s saying something!
“Wait- please,” she manages. She’s backed up against the wall. “Please, I’ll give you what you want. What do you want? Money? Please, just let me-” the man cut her off.
“Hey listen sweetie,” he said, emphasizing the nickname to prove his control. “I just told you the boss wants you, and I’m not worried if you’re not willing. So just make it easy for yourself and come.”
The men started closing in on her, and suddenly she started moving. She didn’t even know what her body was doing, only that she was not going with these men. She stooped down as one of them shot, and she tripped another by sweeping a leg under his feet. She jumped up quickly, surprising one of the men, and she socked him square in the jaw. She sensed one of them coming up behind her and the thrust her elbow backwards, nailing him right in the nose.
Then she felt a cool metal against her head.
“I would stop fighting right now if I were you,” the first man said. Sarah looked at him with defiance.
“I don’t care what you think,” she spat. He pulled pack his hand and thrust it forward quickly, knocking her head with the butt of the gun.
Sarah saw black.

Whumpril Prompt #9
Self Doubt
TW: self doubt, anxiety
Henry knows he’s not very good. Heck, he can barely do it. So why on earth would the team choose him to spy??
He keeps asking himself that question as he dons his black clothing and gear. As he straps on his utility belt, slips on his sneakers (pun intended), and connects his earpiece.
He wouldn’t dare voice his concerns to the team; they would either agree with him and bring him back in (which was the last thing he wanted- he had been hoping for this chance for years), or they would just reprimand him for not being brave enough. No, he had to do this. He just knew he wasn’t the right one.
His heart was pounding as he drove to the place he was supposed to scope out. He carefully chose a spot far enough away so as not to arouse suspicion, but also close enough to run to if something goes wrong. He gets out and locks it from the door so it doesn’t honk when he uses the keys, and he slips around to the back of the building.
Sweat beaded as be found a locked door, and searched through his belt for his lock picking set. He got it unlocked within seconds, which must mean it was really terrible lock.
His hands trembled as he slunk through the building, taking deliberate steps to avoid the creaky floorboards. No one should be this nervous when spying!!
After what felt like ages, Henry finally made it to the room that he was to search. Anything out of the ordinary he was supposed to take, although that was a little hard, since the whole room was not ordinary at all. There were creepy dolls hanging from the ceiling, terrible drawings all over the walls, and small collections of dead bugs and rocks in all the odd corners of the room.
Suddenly he heard a creak. Henry dove into the closet, making sure to replace anything he had touched, and curled up in the corner, choosing his place perfectly so he could see the intruder.
****
Hours later, Henry was back at base feeling completely and utterly relieved. He can’t believe he just did that. His teammates were all cheering him, asking him to recount the story.
“Well, I saw the guy, and I kinda freaked out, so I started making some weird noises, and the guy freaked out too. I mean, that room was terrifying.”
They all laughed, and the atmosphere in the room was nice.
The leader took a team member out to talk with him.
“Did you watch the security footage of Henry while he worked?” The leader asked.
“Yeah, I did.” Team member sucked in a breath. “That was some of the downright best spying we have ever seen in the years of this team.”
“I agree,” leader nodded. “We just gotta figure out a way to get Henry to believe us.
(Sorry there’s not actually very much whump in this one, I actually don’t think my brain is working anymore)

Whumpril Prompt #8
Bloodshot
TW: sleep deprivation, kidnapping, stalking
Being tired was something whumpee was used to. Back when they were in school, they would stay up late doing school work and wake up early to get ready. They would typically get around 3 hours of sleep a night, and that was ok with them, because they made it up on the weekends (Unless they were hanging out with friends, but then sleep didn’t really become a problem). But they’ve never had no sleep for so long.
The room whumpee was in was dark, but visible. There was one dingy light bulb hanging from the ceiling, swinging around in a breeze that whumpee was beginning to shiver from. There was nothing on the walls, just grey, bare concrete. It was a complete square, and there was a table in one corner with a cloth over it. It looked like there were things under the cloth, but whumpee couldn’t make them out. Other than that, the room was completely boring.
Whumpee sat tied to a chair in the middle of the room. How original, they had thought drily when they woke up in it. But they were getting real tired of it. Their hands were handcuffed behind the chair and the handcuffs were chained to a ring in the ground right under it. Their legs were chained to the legs of the chair. And, to make it even more dramatic, there was a thick metal bar around their middle, preventing them from even shifting a little bit.
There was a a security camera in the corner of the room where the table was. It’s red light beeped, showing it was on, and that someone was watching them. Whumpee didn’t know who. They were so tired.
Every time whumpee got close to falling asleep, every time their head started to droop, their eyelids falling closed, their breathing becoming heavier, a loud screeching sound woke them up. It seemed to come from everywhere, the noise was so loud. They had been in there for days.
Their eyes were bloodshot, their brain not working as quickly as it should. They were barely registering the fact that the basement was freezing, or that the chains on their wrists and ankles were far too tight.
Their eyelids started drooping, their shoulder sagging… SCREECH!!!
Whumpee is going to die.
(So sorry it’s late I literally do not have enough hours in the day but here you go!!!)

Whumpril Prompt #7
Hesitation
TW: pet whump, injuries from pressure/strain, implied beating
You shouldn’t even have to consider this decision. This is your pet. You can do whatever you want to it.
So why is it becoming so hard to punish it? This pet isn’t one of the smartest; it’s clumsy, not very smooth, and it doesn’t seem very accustomed to walking on its hands and knees. Obviously it’s not trained very well, but you had hoped to fix that fairly easily. You were known for being able to trap pets very well.
What is happening? Why is this pet so hard to train? Is it their fault? Is it just being difficult on purpose? Pet are definitely not supposed to talk, but this one keeps trying to pull you into conversations, as if it wants to be punished! It talks to itself, hums to itself, it generally can’t keep quiet. You need to punish it.
But… you can’t help but realize that this pet isn’t terrible. It has a very sweet voice. And it’s conversation topics are always so interesting. And when it goes to bed at night, bandaging its knees from walking on them all day, you almost feel sympathetic for it.
No! This isn’t how it’s should be going! This pet is not suitable for people to have, it’s not following the rules!! Why is this so hard all of the sudden? You know you need to punish it. You know. But, you just can’t bring yourself to do it.
It’s night time, and you are laying in bed with the pet in the other room. Maybe… just this once, you can just let it be. You can let it sleep without having to wrap up more wounds.
But you know you shouldn’t…
Argh!! Why is this so difficult???
(Literally this prompt is me debating whether I should write this or not because it’s so late and I’m exhausted so sorry it’s not super great)
