Buzzfeed did a “What if Hogwarts had sex ed” video.

It’s an entirely unique concept that I have never seen anywhere else before.

There’s a fic I like so much that I downloaded it to my hard drive, because the summary implies that the author doesn’t like the fic at all (their writing has improved a lot since then, they feel), and I want to be able to read it even if they take it down.

Well, since the author doesn’t care about the fic, and there were a couple turns of phrase that bothered me anyway, I figured that, on my next re-read, I’d edit it. You know, just fix the weird phrasing (using “there lack of” instead of “lack thereof,” for instance) and the occasional missing word. (Small note, I’d never post it anywhere; this is for my own personal use.)

I did not fucking realize how many grammatical errors there are in this Goddamn fic, holy shit.

Commas instead of periods and/or semicolons, run-on sentences, and SO MANY ELLIPSES.

It’s weird how I didn’t even notice when I was reading the fic (even though I’ve done so at least three times), but suddenly it seems like there are mistakes all over the place. I can actually kind of understand the author’s dislike of it (except not, because the plot and most of the characterization is still pretty good, and more than enough to make up for the mistakes).
