Ranking how unionized each of these pokemon are
1: falinks, obviously. I don’t know if the military has unions but if they don’t these guys invented them.
2: diglett. Look at them, those are some unionized construction workers who understand the importance of worker’s rights.
3: Klinklang. I feel as if they take the Union for granted, but emmet has one and I refuse to believe that the railway workers didn’t unionize by way of pokemon battle.
4 magnemite. They have a bit too much of a corporate vibe for me to trust them completely. They subtly tried to stop the Union from forming but have succumbed to the power of a unified working class.
5: Mausehold. That’s literally a family on a day out at the park that you kidnapped. The only union they’re part of is familial, although they do strike me as the type to have consistent family meetings that do nothing to solve the actual marital issues the parents are having; which are instead aired during vehement fights over who’s cooking dinner.
favorite pokemon conceptually are the ones counted as a single entity but are just clearly like, more than one guy just hanging out.

You lack whimsy. The stars are us and we are them. Maybe all the attempts of life to reach the stars is just a longing from the iron in our blood to reach its birthplace.
Please retire the "we are made of stardust" phrase I am so tired of it

Alice becoming the new overworked IT employee desperately trying to explain what’s wrong with your idiot boss’s computer is so funny. If she lives the series and the world is still intact she should go into an actual IT job, that’s the majority of the experience anyways

Imagine finding out other universe you got to be cis lmao
Also I’m now picturing eye!monster Sam stopping mid torture like “hey I’m doing a good job right? Like you feel adequately stripped of your privacy and secrets?” While the torturee just keeps screaming
Maybe I'm slow on the uptake, but it's only just dawning on me that if Sam does manage to find the OIAR members in the TMA universe, they'll all have been in their specific hells, assuming they were alive in 2018.
What Melanie said about people in power being jailors in the hells made me think a bit about that:
We know that Trevor Herbert, homeless vampire hunter, is Trevor Herbert MP in the Protocol universe. His socio-economic status is reversed, so you might think that there's not much of a common thread between versions of him. But Trevor in Archives hunted and slaughtered a lot of creatures, and there's definitely power in taking lives (even evil ones).
And we know that Archives' Helen 'Secret Tory' Richardson was giving off scary Tory vibes in Protocol, assuming that it's not just Distortion!Helen who managed to creep out of a crack in the universe before John killed her. So there's a common thread there.
And Protocol Georgie seems semi-serious when she asks Celia if she needs to be paranoid about being spied on by the government/aliens/the Illuminati, which indicates that she has more fear than the average person. Which seems the total opposite of Archives Georgie, but if her fear response hadn't been taken from her, would she have been in an Eye hell?
So if we assume that people's personalities re: power are basically in the same ballpark no matter which dimension you're in:
Gwen in the Protocol universe is a power-seeker, going so far as to find a way to oust Lena from her job (even though she's regretting it now). Does that mean Gwen in the Archives universe was a 'jailor', as Melanie put it? Was Lena one too? And if so, what kinds of hell did they help to control?
Alice is the least ambitious person ever, so I assume she'd be a tormentee rather than a tormentor. Archives Alice could have been in a Lonely hell, or a Stranger or Spiral one if they tormented her with gender dysphoria. Assuming she's even trans in that universe.
Sam is a knowledge-seeker, but not for power's sake, so the Eye probably had him in one of its hells. He also has big 'failing at life' fears, which kind of fall under 'everyone will know I suck', so kind of Eye-ish, too.
Colin also seems like he'd be tormented in a computer-themed Eye hell, because of his (admittedly justified) paranoia.
Teddy seems to be pretty ambition-free, also, but it's hard to get a handle on where he'd be tortured, because of how little he's been in the show.

Taxonomically classifying each rain world animal
Because I have far too much time on my hands
(Pt. 1)
Someone I was watching suffer through their first hunter playthrough made a joke about naming these guys slugicus cattus, and it got me thinking what I’d name every single thing in the entirety of this godforsaken game.
First up are the scugs, who I’ve decided to designate Limaximanus felis. I’m assuming everything in rain world would be different on at least the genus level down, so I started there and came to the designation of Limaximanus.
The first part comes from the Latin word for slug, limax, combined with hand or manus. Essentially, I thought them being a variety of mollusc who’s managed to grow hands is certainly distinctive enough for the genus. As I’m sure most of you know, felis is simply cat. Despite the majority of people in game referring to scugs as rodents it’s my taxonomy and I make the rules. If we were to focus more on the cat side of the common name I’d have gone with sapiofelis to focus their tiny intelligent brains instead, but I consider slugs with hands more notable.
They’re assumably the only members as well, and as such will be the only ones included in this post. I’ll be grouping the creatures by arbitrary similarities that probably make sense to my brain only.
Now, considering the traits of certain DLC scugs, I’ve given them a subspecies designation. I went pretty simple here considering Latin already had similar words for a lot of them and came up with I’d name them as L. felis crepitus, L. felis celeritaqua, L. felis hastadominus, and L. felis linguiformus. That’s explosion, literally spear master, a compound of fast+water, and long tongue. I considered deus or omnipotus for saint, but I think ascending to godhood is more a product of religious enlightenment than something all of his subspecies can do innately.
I’ll continue this hopefully soon with lizards!

In Grim's Blazing Jewel vignette, Grim is so envious that everyone's getting a dashing new outfit. 😭 After the third years tease Grim for a bit, Malleus personally hands Grim and Yuu their own outfits. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 They were prepared with love by the third years + Professor Crewel instead of magicked so they assure the duo that they won't ever disappear.
Dhkskdkdod Grim is so so so happy so Malleus comments on how glad he is that Grim + Yuu love the clothes. He says all that effort to get them done was worth it.
(The idea that Malleus, as a resident of a country of textile and thread, got down to manually sewing clothes just for Grim + Yuu is so precious UGH.)
But of course the happy moment is broken by Rook casually dropping that their clothes are the perfect fit, even though they never asked the two for their sizes, is because eyeing sizes is his specialty. Grim is creeped out.
