Remember how we’re definitely not dead and just... on an extended hiatus? With any luck, things will settle down here soon and we’ll come back to these blogs.

Either way, NPCweekend is still happening. It’s changed a fair bit from the original concept, but gladiomod and I are powering on through with it.

Even if you don’t plan on participating, please vote! We really need some tiebreakers. Also there may be pictures of The Rock in it for you. Maybe holding a cat.

I swear we haven’t forgotten about these blogs! Everything has just been about 40% extra so far this year. We’re still planning on coming back and finishing them, as far as I’m aware, but we have things to get done before we can dedicate the time and energy to writing out the rest of the posts.

That said, I’ve seen the influx of asks and I love you all for sending them. I’ll try to get to them soon, but I can’t promise much of anything.

Gladiomod and I are also running npcweekend, so if you feel like checking that out/writing something/telling us we’re being ridiculous, pop on over. And hey, voting’s open!

Why: Have you ever wanted to know what the fruit stand girl is thinking when four dipshits from the crown city wipe out her entire stock? Do you have a story brewing about just what kind of trouble Takka got up to before Cid stuck him at Hammerhead’s diner? Do you just think there’s not enough works about your favorite NPC and you need to make more? Now’s your chance! (And, uh, maybe ours too.)

What: An appreciation week for all the non-player characters of FFXV, including Kingsglaive and Brotherhood characters. This is mostly meant to encourage content for characters that don’t really get much (or anything) made for them, but works for any character outside of the five main player characters (Noctis, Ignis, Prompto, Gladio, and your Comrades OC*) are welcome.

*There’s some potential for a Comrades OC weekend at a later date, though!

We’ll run three prompts each day: a mod-chosen location prompt, a simple prompt, and a situational prompt. The location prompt is basically a suggestion that you write a character from that location, or write the story in that setting, but you do not have to use the location in your prompt.

When: Assuming we manage to drag up enough interest and prompts to start voting in time, we’d like to run the week March 25 - April 1, 2018.

Who: Your 2 friendly mods: W and A. (This is W speaking. You might hear from me more on account of I like to hear myself talk.)

Where: Here and on AO3. We didn’t think we needed to say it, but damnit we had a theme going and we were going to follow through.

Now, consider this your formal invitation to start sending in simple and situational prompts! Please keep your prompts sfw/non-sexual. You can create whatever you want! We just want to make sure all prompts are open to everyone.

Please read the FAQ before asking any questions! If you ask a question we’ve already answered on the FAQ, we may simply point you toward it, depending on how many spoons we have/how much time we have left on break.

Nothing quite like imps to just give that delightfully creepy ambiance to a horrible death trap. Add in Ardyn’s taunting over the intercom - seriously, who designed this hellhole - and it’s a perfect recipe for future nightmares.

Apologies for the radio silence of late, but things have been happening and the holidays hit us all pretty hard.

Back next week, hopefully. We have a rough outline for the rest of the blogs and a few other projects hanging out on back burners in hopes we’ll have the collective energy to poke them into something real. It’s been a blast working on this (and mind-blowing that we’ve been doing this for over a year), and we love all of our followers so much. Thanks for sticking with us!

There is literal snow in this train car. I’m starting to worry we’ll never be warm again, but there’s no time to dwell on that.

Someone needs to check on the drivers, and Noct is... occupied at the moment. I assume. If Gladio doesn’t go with me, I’ll just go by myself.

stumbles in an hour and a half late without Starbucks

So it’s NaNoWriMo, and between writing all the words (seriously, I have 41k of new crap for limit break right now) and the special hell that is working retail in November in the States, I completely forgot posts were a thing this week. Gladiomod wishes to pass along “somethingsomething will to live”. Just wait until I make them edit the mess of words I’ve been writing >_>

There’s a chance we’ll post next weekend, but we’re probably not going to be back until December.

Honestly, if Aranea wanted us dead, she had plenty of opportunities in Steyliff. We already know we’re walking into a trap by going to Gralea. At least she’s being honest about it.

I wish Gladio would stop hovering, but I suppose it’s better than having a breakdown.

It seems Gladio had dedicated himself to eating all of the abominations the dining car claims are muffins.

Noct keeps following me around and dozing off. I suppose I should attempt to get him to sleep properly. Once we’ve reached Tenebrae, we can figure out what to do about Prompto next.
