Arduino robot programming
Activity: Learning to program Arduino robot and have some fun with it.
Duration and amount: 2 hours 3 times a week for 6 weeks
Type of activity: Creativity, Service, Activity
Learning outcomes:
- Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance
- Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS project
- Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions
Description: The term robotics may sound cool and new, but in general, it refers to robots or machines that consists of mechanical parts. Though the robotics technology is still developing, you can still spot many usages in different industries! These are some words that inspired me and I hope will also do the same for others.

Reflection:
Visual programming languages provide a more natural approach to specifying software/hardware systems with complex behaviour such as robots. They are especially important in education because they do not require formal knowledge of programming language syntax and are attractive to users. We present an analysis and comparison of two visual programming environments, Lego NXT-G and Microsoft Visual Programming Language, based on the cognitive and usability requirements, evaluate their application in robotics-based Computer Science education, identify main problems and propose solutions for using visual programming languages in the Internet-of-Things domain.

Virtual runners: Guinness world record attempt
Activity: Attempting to break Guinness world record with group of virtual runners
Duration and amount: 10 kilometers within 24 hours
Type of activity: Service, Activity
Learning outcomes:
- Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance
- Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS project
- Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions
Description: On September 19, 2021, the official Guinness World Record attempt will take place to unite the most "virtual" runners who complete a 10 km run within 24 hours. But having fun while running is very important too! Therefore, we would be happy if as many running enthusiasts as possible would come together for this unique event.

Reflection:
Running takes us to so many places. It opens up the world to us in so many ways and allows us to connect to the nature in ways that are often difficult to articulate. But, perhaps more importantly, when we let it, running connects us to an internal world. Running can expose an inner world of reflection allowing us to ask questions we didn’t know or just seeking for answers of the most challenging internal dilemmas. Even in the midst of an ever-increasingly fast-paced chaotic world, putting one foot in front of the other can provide a reflective place that can truly change our lives.

Becoming a future web developer!
Activity: Volunteer work for a design company
Time: Around 6 hours every weekend.
Type of activity: Creativity, Service, Activity
Learning outcomes:
- Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance
- Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS project
- Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions
Description: Web developers design and build websites. They are typically responsible for the appearance, of the site and technical aspects, such as site speed and how much traffic the site can handle. Web developers may also create site content that requires technical features. I usually undertake all these tasks to improve my knowledge and working skills.

Reflection: I’ve absolutely fallen in love with web design, but to tell you the truth, I don’t plan my future on this work. My web developing journey has been going on for year and a half now and it’s evolved so much during that time. When I first started to work in the early stages of my web developing process, I had very limited knowledge on that position that I had to take extra hours to catch up with others in term of knowledge. This volunteer work made me increase my working ethics and achieve working mentality.

Secret Santa
Activity title: Secret Santa
Date: 18.12.2020.
Category: creativity
Learning outcomes:
-Show commitment and perseverance in CAS experiences
- Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively
- Demonstrate that the challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process
Activity description: Secret Santa is a Christmas tradition. Members of a group of friends, family, or coworkers draw random names to become someone’s Secret Santa. The Secret Santa is given a wish list of gift ideas to choose from to give to their chosen gift. After opening their present, the gift has to guess which member of the group was their Secret Santa. It’s a holiday classic where the guessing is as much a part of the fun as receiving the gift.

Reflection: This is one of my favorite events so far because it connects love between people during the holidays. These are the little things we all need to start from and what the world needs us to turn to. The great thing about these kind of events is that you get to enjoy both giving and receiving gifts, which ultimately is the main point of the gathering. This activity helped us to know each other further more and to get closer in this miserable times (of Covid-19 virus) where our communication is only online based. I hope we are going to organize more of these type of events in the future.

Gym
Activity duration: long-term
Approximate number of hours: 8 hours per week
Type of activity: Activity
Learning outcomes:
- Identifying your own strengths and develop areas for personal growth
- Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences
- Demonstrate that the challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process
Activity description: I started going to gym in December 2018. From that point the only thing that I can feel is improvement in all areas of life. This activity I combine with my handball practice that I have almost everyday, because of that it is sometimes challenging to maintain all of activities that I have throughout a day. Going to gym helps me stay in shape and maintain stress level throughout a day.

Reflection: Physical activity has so many benefits to your health. It can help you get to and stay at a healthy body weight, reduce the risk of bone fractures if you have osteoporosis, and can reduce the risk of many other illnesses like cancer and heart disease. For me physical activity is an escape from reality and enjoyment of body to mind connection. It helped me gain some new friends who go to the same gym as me and also train some sports. At the end of the day this is something I recommend to everyone as daily stress relief.

The third international comic book fair

Activity title: Attendance of The Third International Comic Book Fair.
Date: 9. 10. 2020 - 11. 10. 2020.
Category: Creativity, Service
Learning outcomes:
+Developing new skills in the process
+Identify your own strengths and develop areas for personal growth.
+Learners can list and discuss many variety of comic books
Activity description:
This was The third international comics fair held in our city for 3 days last weekend at the “Kastel” fortress. I went with friends to visit comics and artist works and I drew. It is getting more interesting every year. We were able to hear the minds of the very people who write comics, part take in an interactive experience by contributing to the next years gallery with their drawings, as well as support the artists directly by purchasing the comics. I am going to attend this fair next year and suggest you to do the same.

Reflection:
It was always easy for me to say that I was never a great fan of comic books or just books. But after experiencing all of this, had me reconsidering my opinions. Even if I was never part of comic books reader club, I realised that these people are all drown by the same intention to express themselves through this kind of art. Everything I have seen in these 3 days was inspiring. For someone who has a lack of creativity or just inspiration while writing or just drawing learning about comics might change my perspective of creativity. I realized how important is loving what you do. Because if you love doing something everything else want be a problem.
