La Demonolatria è il culto dei demoni e ha lo scopo di riscoprire la parte divina all’interno delle persone ma non solo, ogni praticante punta ad entrare in sintonia con le energie che lo circondano. Il culto dei demoni include il concetto dell’auto-deificazione, si mira a vedere attraverso gli occhi delle divinità e di elevarsi. L’uomo è essenzialmente un essere divino. Non è demonologia come molti pensano.

Ogni praticante non accetta alcuna forma di violenza e di conseguenza nessun sacrificio.

Essa è un culto in cui le entità demoniache sono adorate e trattate come divinità, da cui si può apprendere per migliorare sé stesso, impara da loro. Si rifiuta qualsiasi idea o concezione che proviene dalla mitologia cristiana.

La pratica consiste nella venerazione dei demoni e in pratiche meditative e comunicative. Si accetta l’idea della congrega e del sacerdozio.

La magia non appartiene al culto e solo il praticante può scegliere se integrarla. Un praticante può decidere di praticare magia demoniaca, ovvero invocazione delle intelligenze divine attraverso un rituale di tipo cerimoniale, con creazione di cerchio elementale e oggettistica rituale come calici, spade, ect. Praticare magia demoniaca significa entrare in una connessione armoniosa con le energie che ci circondando.

È importante che ciò avvenga senza forzature e nel completo rispetto della divinità quindi non si evoca un demone e obbligarlo ad assisterci, piuttosto, invocare e chiedere di presenziare al nostro rituale. Questo risulterà molto più utile. Le definizioni di evocazione e invocazione sono diverse rispetto a quelle tradizionali nella magia cerimoniale: l’Invocazione è la richiesta di presenziare ad un rituale per ottenere assistenza, sostegno o ispirazione; l’Evocazione non rispetta la volontà di un demone ma è bensì una costrizione.

All’interno del culto possiamo trovare due rami:

Demonolatria moderna: Un demonolatra moderno vede i demoni come pura energia o forze elementali che un praticante può indirizzare verso un obiettivo da lui designato. Questo viene fatto attraverso un rituale. In questo caso non c’è venerazione;

Demonolatria tradizionale o teista: I demoni sono vere e proprie divinità con una propria attitudine e preferenza. In questo caso c’è venerazione.

L’origine della Demonolatria è un argomento che viene erroneamente ricondotta al cristianesimo. La nascita della Demonolatria è da ricercare in un periodo ancora più antico della creazione del cristianesimo: la filosofia ermetica, la religione e la teosofia dell'Antico Egitto sono la fonte e il fondamento della Demonolatria.

Possiamo senza alcun dubbio dire che la Demonolatria è una diretta discendente delle Scuole Spirituali degli antichi insegnamenti egizi, che possono provenire o meno da una cultura ancora più antica.

Il culto è cambiato ed evoluto, ma la Demonolatria ha conservato molto delle sue origini. Demonolatria è semplicemente un'etichetta moderna usata per descrivere colui che comunica, adora e cerca la saggezza dalle intelligenze divine.

L'intelligenza divina può anche venire dal Sé attraverso una saggezza intrinseca che ognuno di noi possiede, che è uno degli insegnamenti più basilari degli antichi Egizi - che siamo come Dei e anche Divini per la sostanza stessa dei nostri esseri.

I principi ermetici nella Demonolatria

1.Il principio del Mentalismo: Tutto è mente, l’Universo è mentale

In Demonolatria il Tutto viene rappresentato da Satana. La fonte di tutto ciò che conosciamo, che percepiamo e che ci aiuta nel manifestare la nostra volontà, principalmente attraverso rituali è Satana. Difatti viene visto come l’unione di tutti gli elementi, colui che riassume in pieno ogni legge dell’Universo Mentale.

2. Il principio della corrispondenza: Com’è al di sopra, così è al di sotto; com’è sotto, così è sopra

In Demonolatria la conoscenza di noi stessi è fondamentale per poter progredire e conoscere leggi e parti del mondo più alti e complessi è proprio questo che intendiamo. Ogni parte di questo mondo e dell’universo stesso per noi è rappresentata da un demone che sono a livelli superiori. Conoscendo noi stessi, ogni parte che compone il nostro essere possiamo salire in alto comprendendo anche ciò che si trova più in alto in modo da essere sempre in armonia.

3. Il principio della vibrazione: Tutto si muove, tutto vibra; niente è in quiete

In Demonolatria le vibrazioni corrispondono alle energie del nostro corpo e governabili attraverso esercizi di meditazione. Anche i demoni sono energia e come tale vibrano intorno a noi. Riusciamo a percepirli quando iniziamo a sviluppare una certa sensibilità, che molti hanno fin dalla nascita.

4. Il principio della polarità: Tutto è duale, tutto è polare: per ogni cosa c’è la sua coppia di opposti. Non esiste ciò che è assoluto ma solo diversi gradi della stessa.

In Demonolatria non esistono il bianco o nero ma tante sfumature di grigio quindi tutto ciò che è nel mezzo e agli estremi che non sono necessariamente opposti.

5. Il principio del ritmo: Ogni cosa fluisce e rifluisce, ogni cosa ha fasi diverse; tutto s’alza e cade; in ogni cosa è manifesto il principio del pendolo. L’oscillazione di destra è pari a quella di sinistra e tutto si compensa nel ritmo

Nella Demonolatria la ricerca di un equilibrio è uno degli obiettivi di ogni praticante. Noi accettiamo entrambi i poli: la vita e la morte, la pace e la guerra, e così via, perché crediamo che ogni cosa debba essere accolta per essere davvero in pace con sé stessi. Noi lavoriamo su questo attraverso l’aiuto dei demoni, nostre divinità.

6. Il principio di causa ed effetto: Ogni effetto ha la sua causa, ogni causa il suo effetto; tutto avviene in conformità di una legge, il caso è il nome dato ad una legge che non si conosce; pur se esistono diversi piani di causalità, niente sfugge alla legge

In Demonolatria ogni demonolatra prima di prendere la decisione di fare qualcosa deve riflettere poiché tutto ciò che verrà dopo sarà solo colpa o merito di chi ha compiuto quell’azione. Dobbiamo prenderci ogni responsabilità. Tutto è nelle nostre mani.

7. Il principio di genere: Il genere si manifesta in ogni cosa e su tutti i piani; ogni cosa ha il suo principio maschile e femminile.

In Demonolatria il principio maschile e femminile vive contemporaneamente all'interno dei demoni, poiché esseri divini, oltre che perfetti. E' possibile che una di queste caratteristiche sia più forte dell'altra e porta il demone ad essere considerato maggiormente secondo uno dei due principi, ma ciò non toglie che la loro essenza è duplice.

Some tips for your craft

Meditation doesn't always require sitting still and silent. Try dancing meditation, drumming, rocking, or walking meditation.

Keep a book of chaos or little notebook on you to capture those ideas or thoughts you might forget later on.

You don't need to have everything you see in your grimoire, only study what you find useful and fun for your practice.

Keep rituals and spell work short and effective.

Try not to fixate on astrology alignments, moon cycles, or esoteric correspondences for spell work. They may help but they aren't essential.

While visualization and gnosis are great for spell work, the aren't always a viable option, don't feel like you need to do them.

Always write down what was done directly after spell work to prevent forgetting any details.

Taking breaks is okay, you don't need to be practicing all the time to be a practitioner.

Organize your tools and supplies in a way where they are easily visible and labeled if necessary.

Background noise or music during rituals perfectly okay.

If you tend to forget to blow out candles try switching to electric ones or a salt lamp, candles aren't required for workings.

Try making recipes for oils, teas, incense, etc. in bulk.

Keep calming tea or bath salts on hand for those difficult days.

Try using different colored pens or highlighters to organize information in your BOS/grimoire.

Try keeping recipe cards for food, oils, teas, incense, incantations, or even short rituals in a box at your altar for quick referencing.

Try sticking to offerings that won't easily spoil or wilt, like stones, candles, statues, oil, and incense.

I think something people tend to forget about folk magic is prior to the internet, for many people, it wasn't about learning how to do everything. Like, some people specialized in divination and omens. Some people specialized in laying and breaking hexes. Some people specialized in healing. You'd pick who you went to based on your current situation.

I think practitioners should embrace that more: not expecting ourselves to learn how to do everything. Today's magic and witchy communities put so much pressure on learning how to do everything for yourself, but personally I think that kills the beauty of community. It's perfectly fine to narrow your interests and go to those you trust for something you aren't sure how to do yourself.

Sonnelion is a non-Goetic demon, first discovered by Sebastien Michaelis in "Histoire admirable de la Possession et conversion d'une penitente" of 1613, appearing as the last demon in the first hierarchy, classifying it as a demon of hatred. So will Dukantè in 1963, even channeling a seal of it. It is by no means a demon suitable for neophytes, certainly difficult for professional practitioners. Sonnelion, strangely enough, presents a lot of information, between stories of practitioners and scholars, we know everything except its origin unfortunately. She is a demon who embodies the female archetype to perfection; she is called the Princess of Discord, the one who brings hatred against enemies, creates conflict and bestows vengeance, providing the practitioner with the courage to carry out a revenge against those who have hurt him or her. She divides lovers, brings arguments, divisions in general, and ruptures of any relationship, be it work or social, feuds, disagreements, betrayals, disloyalty, infidelity, brutality, dishonor. Knows the macabre art of mental and physical torture, bringing chaos, violence. Skilled in the necromantic art, gives concentration and balance so that purposes are achieved. She unleashes the wrath of the practitioner and his energy, dare I say it, is very similar to that of Sargatanas: those who approach both experience extremely strong, pressing, almost breathtaking sensations. It is no coincidence that this demon is also associated with extreme emotions. Weaver of the black loom, this is one of the most famous ways in which practitioners identify her: like the Fates, Sonnelion also holds the victims' futures in her hands. Sonnelion brings shame, dishonor, brutality, and misfortune to the practitioner's victims. She is said to appear as a white-skinned woman with white curled horns and bat wings, with waist-length hair also white, but her eyes are piercing blood-red. Sometimes completely naked, snake-tongued, wild-looking, sometimes bluish-skinned, her fingernails and toenails are clawed, she possesses sharp canines and sometimes large leathery wings, i.e., leather-like, purple in color and with a cold, unfeeling attitude. I would add that white hair indicates wisdom and consequently does not trigger impulsive actions, but reasoned, thought out, organized. Her manner is ironic, almost mocking; he spares no one, does not overtake in the face of a small mistake, and every slightest mistake he makes him pay dearly. Sonnelion embodies the violent energies of Mars but I believe that Pluto can also be associated with her. Her element is said to be Fire, consequently her cardinal point corresponds to the South. Unlike others, she is associated by Connolly with the Southwest, the fiery part of the water, and I honestly think it is more reasonable to consider it that way: by bringing discord and hatred, one changes the course of events to the negative. It is said that it prefers to bring discord over everything mentioned above and that its day is Saturday, which also leads me to think that it may embody the energies of Saturn as well as Mars and Pluto. Again S. Connolly associates her with the color red, but I think black and purple are perfect for her. She also associates it with the warm season, specifically the summer solstice (and not only her). Her favorite incense may be cinnamon, frankincense. Like all demons, she likes blood as offerings, as well as full-bodied red wine with a strong, decisive flavor. As @reginademonae would say, I would call her totally dark, a black demon. Not excluding that it may have roots in Greek mythology, among the legends of the Morie (especially Lachesi or Atropo). But nothing is certain so I won't go out on a limb.
