My Blu Pyro cosplay in action, picture taken by my girlfriend outside Animenext 2015, back in June.

This is something I did for a cosplay over the Summer of 2015. It’s Blu Pyro’s flamethrower from Team Fortress 2. Somehow I even found a way to make the pilot light to glow using a handy LED. 

I’ve honestly only made two other cosplay props before, neither of which were half the size of this nearly 6-foot long flamethrower. I was pleasantly surprised by the finished results, partially thanks of course to my girlfriend helped when I needed an extra pair of hands.

One More Time

I’m back with a new rhyme. 

So I haven’t posted on Tumblr in awhile. When I say awhile, I probably mean maybe... a year? Two years? This is going to change. As part of bringing in the new year, I’m going to be active here much more often. I’ll be posting artwork and blogs as I finally flesh out a series I’ve been working on for the last couple of years.

Oh yeah, and now that I have a drawing tablet I can be more “relevant” in this digital age of art. It’s really weird and that I’ve never used one before, so I’m expecting my first several pieces to be shaky. I’m really exited to get things started soon, so bring on the motivation!

Self-motivation that is.

I'm listening to music from Inception and pretending I'm standing at the edge of a cliff, over-looking a wide expanse of wreckage, the the corpse of a once great city. Empty shells that were once great buildings cut down by the hungry flames licking at their stone flesh are all I see for some miles and yet there's something beyond it. Rolling green plains and the foothills of silent mountains lay further away from the dead city. I stand looking down at the scene, my body silhouetted against the darkening sky as bright embers float up like waste from the flames and disappear from existence before even reaching my the height I was at. 

That is a mix of me listening to epic-ass music and just how literate I can be sometimes.
