Kuro Lee is new to the game, and with the swing of his bat fame and fortune soon follow. This new addition to the National Baseball League’s Korean Typhoons has the struggling team climbing the board, bringing them into the spotlight and taking them farther than ever before. After six years of fame, he has built a name not only for the team but for himself—a playboy. prompt 14: licking their lips, eyes on the others lips. ‘please’

(disclaimer: this is my first writing piece that has gone anywhere. promise future writing will be much better :))

[ 11:30pm. ]

a heavy silence filled the house. lovesick words and happy laughs had come to a complete stop, the house no longer felt like a home. not to you and certainly not to nanami.

he sat on the sofa, arms crossed - a deep frown creasing his forehead. you took refuge in one of the spare rooms, curled up under the duvet, silent tears streaming down your cheeks. your phone screen lit up every couple minutes but besides that you were inclosed in complete darkness, in a bed that wasn’t yours, without the man you loved.

truth be told you barely remembered how the argument started, something about nanami coming home late without calling leaving you to assume he’d died on a mission. your overthinking had got the best of you, but with yours and nanami’s career you never knew if you’d be coming home that night.

you left work at your usual time thinking your lover would follow two or three hours later, but when nanami stepped into the house six and a half hours later you were on the edge of insanity. hands pulling at your hair by the roots, lip bleeding as you constantly chewed it - upon seeing this nanami’s heart broke. which was pushed aside as you attacked him with hurtful words obviously out of stress in which he responded with his own hurtful words again out of stress.

a soft knock broke your thoughts, followed by the softest voice.

‘darling, are you sleeping?’ his heart squeezed in the most unpleasant way as he leaned against the door.

‘darling?’

‘open the door for me?’ he gently asked. it wasn’t locked, actually the door didn’t even have a lock on it. but nanami wasn’t going to walk in if you didn’t want him too, and you knew that. you knew nanami would never hurt you purposely, mentally or physically. he would never push you to talk if you weren’t ready, he was the most thoughtful man. so why was he on the receiving end of your temper?

‘please love.’

you silently slipped off the bed, bare feet shuffling on the carpet. opening the door you were greeted with a puffy eyed nanami, causing your heart to shatter. without thinking you slammed your body into his, a loud sob shaking through you.

nanami held you tight as the two of you crumbled onto the floor, you in his lap, head tucked in the crook of his neck. your tears soaked into the material of his shirt, but nanami didn’t care, you were in his arms and he was in yours.

‘i’m so sorry my love, forgive me,’ he moved your head from his shoulder and cupped it in his hands. the small callouses brushed gently against your soft skin, a comforting feeling. a feeling telling you you were safe, that you were home - nanami kento is your home.

after crying your face grew puffy, your eyes tinted red, and your lips fuller than usual. your lips. nanami knows he should be on his knees, begging for your forgiveness, but all he wants is to kiss you.

you notice his eye on your lips, licking them unconsciously, a small groan coming from him.

‘forgive me,’ he muttered. with hands on your hips he pulled you into him. he licked his lips, eyes glued to yours. ‘please.’

skipping words, you pushed your lips onto his. his hands slid up your back, fingers twirling rogue strands of hair that had fell from your bun. you cupped his cheeks, something you did often when nanami was in a bad mood. it warmed his heart. and in this moment he knew you had forgiven him, your soft touches were better than any words.

you pulled away for air, foreheads resting together.

‘kento,’ he hummed in response. ‘i’m sorry for what i said, i was scared and-‘

‘all is forgiven. i promise to call next time, i’ll call every ten minutes if you’d like.’

‘five. every five minutes.’

nanami’s beautiful laugh reached your ears.

‘i love you.’
