there are a few things unrealistic about shadowhunters show and these are my top three

1. if they wanted jace to be hotter than Alec, they really should not have casted Matt Daddario. I’m sorry but has anyone seen that man or seen him smile? I’m not trying to compare and contrast here but I have never found the character of jace attractive but I have found the character Alec attractive. I always mean the show version and as much as I hate book Alec, he’s still hotter than book Jace. Alec can literally be on screen doing nothing and it drives everyone insane but Jace? yeah hard pass thanks

2. Clary being a better fighter or shadowhunter than everyone and especially Izzy is laughable. I’m sorry but in what world is clary who has hardly trained or been there for even six months better than Izzy or Alec who have been shadowhunters their whole lives????? THAT DOES NOT MAKE ANY FUCKING SENSE. Izzy is a black belt (or supposed to be) so how is she not the best? even Alec says in season two “I’m sending my best shadowhunter” to Izzy like in what world is clary better than everyone? yes she can create new runes but there is more to being a shadowhunter than making runes. especially since she took advantage of that and lost that ability thank fuck. it’s not just about using runes and swords. it’s about making the right call, and thinking before you act. which clary and jace are incapable of. the show is supposed to be three months so how do they expect us to believe clary is better?????

•it’s also very unrealistic for everyone to say jace is the greatest shadowhunter when he constantly needs saving. maybe Alec doesn’t want to brag but he is the one who killed and sent azazel back to hell. Jace didn’t do that. Clary didn’t do that. even when Jonathon (azazel is more powerful than Jonathon) dies for the first time, Izzy is the one to do that. and then clary does the second time with a rune but why was the show so obsessed with putting jace on this pedestal but not Alec? Alec is never given his credit. I know CC is obsessed with Jace but it’s so dumb and unrealistic to say hey Jace is the best shadowhunter, we would be lost without him while he’s the one who needs saving and babysat by Alec lmao ALEC DESERVED MORE CREDIT

3. it’s not talked about but how has no one made a move on Alec? we know he has not initiated anything but I wish they would say if others have. BECAUSE LOOK AT HIM!!! Alec is also a great leader so it’s very unrealistic that zero shadowhunters or downworlders beside Magnus have never once even attempted a chance with Alec. I’m just saying, there is not a moment throughout the show where Alec wasn’t attractive. Alec is the best character besides Magnus (these are just facts) so why does it seem like no one has tried? Alec doesn’t have to attempt at anything but people have to have tried to shoot their shot at least

•bonus: how are we supposed to believe that clace has chemistry?????? has anyone seen Simon and jace in a scene????? 🔥 how about Izzy and clary? it’s actually really fucking funny how clace has chemistry with everyone but each other. it’s really one of my favorite concepts of the show. they really tried to tell and show us that clace needed to be together and that they had chemistry 😭 NO ONE BELIEVES THAT BUT OK. this also applies to saia and trying to make sizzy happen. y’all can come at me but STOP TRYING TO MAKE SIZZY HAPPEN. I’ll never forgive them for not letting rizzy be a thing. Izzy and Simon-they’re not good together only as friends. once again, these are facts. I don’t want no smoke please
