Collectively, I would say that they all refuse to celebrate Columbus Day. If they want to celebrate something, they'll go for Indigenous People's Day instead, which is perfectly wonderful and valid.

Several of them refuse to celebrate Valentine's Day. Xigbar HATES Valentine's Day with a burning passion. Go ahead. Try putting up decorations. See what happens. Those bright and cheerful pink and red hearts will go down in a blaze of glory as Xigbar burns them all in a bonfire in the front yard. Some of the younger ones - Demyx, Zexion, Xion, Roxas, etc. - don't like the holiday either, but they won't be burning things down. You might catch them at the bonfire roasting marshmallows though.

They could do without Black Friday. Too dangerous and the sales aren't that great anyway. Most of them would rather shop online.

APRIL. FOOL'S. DAY. At first, this holiday wasn't a big deal. A few little pranks here and there were fine but then SOMEONE took it a step too far, which ended up with Xion tripping down the stairs and breaking her arm. There were a lot of tears. To this day, no one fessed up as to who was responsible for the prank that caused Xion's injury, but Xemnas put a stop on all pranks in the castle since some of them don't know the difference between funny and cruel.

Zexion convinces Vexen to get a 3D printer "for the lab" what are the org's reactions? What do they try to get printed?

Xigbar: "We're printing sex toys."

Lexaeus: "No the fuck we aren't."

It kind of descends into chaos almost immediately, tbh. This is how Zexion convinces Vexen and Xemnas: 1) it will save them trips to the hardware store, 2) everyone can use it for their own purposes so it will pretty much pay for itself over time, 3) it's going to help them keep things in order, 4) it will make everything more efficient and accessible, and 5) he won't ask for anything else ever again.

Of course, number 5 is a complete lie and he won't be using the printer for business purposes 99% of the time, but honestly?? Who cares? It's a good investment.

And to be fair, it really is used for good things. Marluxia makes a few flower pots for his garden and Vexen makes tools for his lab and Xemnas makes a damn organizer for his desk and it's all well and good for a while. Zexion makes some cool bookends; Larxene makes something for the training room. It's all good. It's useful.

But like. There are some that think that the machine isn't living up to its full potential. So Xion and Roxas take it upon themselves to sneak into the lab one night and make a giant statue of a baby cow. No reason. Just because they can and Xion wants one for her room.

Xemnas, pinching the bridge of his nose against an ongoing headache: "Okay, but why a baby cow?"

Xion: "Why NOT a baby cow???"

And now it's a free for all, because Demyx finds out about the baby cow statue and wants to use the printer, which makes Xigbar outraged because he wants to use the printer. So now it's basically, whoever gets to it first gets to use it. If you stop the printer while it's still in production, you get stabbed (Xigbar still has the wound to prove it.)

Some things that may or may not have been printed with the 3D printer without Xemnas or Vexen's approval: a tiny catapult, a popcorn bowl shaped like Axel's head, a triangle block of swiss cheese, a tiny toaster, a replica of Michelangelo's David where the penis has been replaced by an cob of corn, and two dozen miniature rainbow ducks that Xion likes to hide around the castle for people to find randomly.

Xemnas - if this man wants a dog, he's going to get a damn dog. it doesn't matter what anyone else says. And it will be the most amazing, well-behaved, well-trained dog you've ever seen in your life. When his S/O says that they want a dog, he's ready for it, but you have to get one on his terms and they have to go through extensive training.

Xigbar - you don't really bring up the idea of a dog. You kind of just bring one home and Xigbar is like ok ok cool i'm into it. He's just super chill like that, but be prepared because he will want more dogs eventually and maybe a cat or two and probably like a lizard or something

Xaldin - Xaldin had a dog when he was a kid but he never got around to getting one as an adult because he just didn't have the time. He wants one, though!!! And he's glad that you brought it up!!! Doesn't care what kind of breed you get but he wants you to be patient so you can find a dog that's going to be good for both of you and your active lifestyles

Vexen - more of a cat person, unfortunately. And you're okay with cats!!! But you just... really want a dog. Like, you really want a dog. It takes you a while to convince Vexen because a dog is a huge responsibility and you're both way too busy, but you eventually break him down. He and the dog coexist and fight for your attention tbh

Lexaeus - you want a big fluffy dog, you're gonna get your big fluffy dog. Just give him the puppy eyes and he'll break down and do whatever the hell you want. Is that guy who doesn't want a dog but ends up loving the dog like it's his child.

Zexion - you are your own person and you can do whatever the hell you want. If you want to get a dog then get a dog. His only problem is that it NEEDS to be well trained and know basic commands because if that dog gets in his library and isn't trained? If it tears up pages or pees on a bookshelf? There's going to be a problem

Saix - I would literally argue that Saix is one of the easiest to convince, if only because you don't need to do any convincing at all. Look. All you have to do is wait until he's having a busy week and then bring the dog home. Boom. Say nothing about it. Wait until he brings it up like weeks later and he'll either be like "What the hell is that?" In which case, the dog has been there for weeks and surely you can't get rid of it now; OR, act like everything is normal and he'll be like "oh my god did we get a dog and I just forgot about it???" Easy.

Axel - "okay but you know what would be better than one dog??" TWO DOGS??? One big dog and one small dog. Axel loves dogs of all kinds but just the fact that he has one??? And can say, "yeah those dogs are ours??" it's living the dream

Demyx - WOOOO HE'S BEEN WAITING FOR THIS DAY FOR HIS ENTIRE LIFE. He is READY for this dog. He wants this dog SO BAD and he's so glad that you want one too. He wants to be tackled by a giant blob of fur all day every day

Luxord - long-suffering acceptance. He's used to your antics. Never thought you would want to get a dog, of all things, since it's a lot of responsibility, but he's not going to prevent you. The dog puts up with Luxord only barely and likes to sleep in his spot on the bed and refuses to move.

Marluxia - definitely a cat person. He's not going to tell you that you CAN'T have a dog because he's not controlling like that, but it definitely isn't his preference. You get a dog anyway though because you can do whatever the hell you want, and he begrudgingly tolerates the dog even though he gets it like a gucci collar and designer food and water bowls

Larxene - goes with you to the shelter to find your forever friend!!! But if you're getting one, she's getting one too! Your pup has to have a companion if the two of you are busy and you don't want them to get lonely. She dotes on the dogs as much as you do and they love you both very much!!!

Roxas - super excited about the dog and also nervous? He obviously wants to be involved but "What if the puppy doesn't like me???" which is absolutely ridiculous because Roxas is basically a puppy on his own. Insists that the dog sleep with one of you so that it doesn't get lonely

Xion - she! is! so! happy! Buys all kinds of cute toys and outfits for the dog because she loves it even if it isn't with you yet. She's arguably more excited than you are and is willing to help with walks, feeding, etc.

Most of them don't mind large flying bugs, but they get a little concerned if the bug is dive-bombing them for no apparent reason. Xion actually loves the bigger flying bugs - butterflies, moths, and dragonflies, etc. Zexion, on the other hand, HATES flying bugs, so those flying cockroaches are like his worst nightmare.

Marluxia isn't scared of bugs, but he despises them. He knows that many of them are good for plants - save the bees, y'all. It's the only way he can keep his garden functioning properly! But those stupid caterpillars like to eat his plants and it's so annoying.

Lexaeus doesn't fuck with bugs if they don't fuck with him. If they come near him, they're probably going to get destroyed.

Xigbar says that he isn't afraid of bugs, but beetles give him the creeps for some reason. Same with Luxord and Demyx - nothing on this planet should have that many legs.

Does anyone use their element day-to-day? How?

So Axel definitely uses his powers most often. The boy gets cold sometimes so it's nice to able to start a fire or get a little heat whenever he wants.

Zexion also uses his powers. Whether its getting something off a high shelf or levitating two books so he can read multiple at once, he's definitely using his powers. Vexen says that's a waste of his skills, but he doesn't give a shit.

Marluxia uses his powers in his garden all the time. Destroying weeds, making flowers bloom, etc. He sometimes recruits Demyx to help water them.

Luxord uses his powers to cheat at poker night, obviously

Larxene is the resident electrician, even if she doesn't want to be. If something with electricity doesn't seem to be working, she's called in to fix it with a few good zaps. (Even though she knows next to nothing about electrical engineering.)

The others don't really use their powers much outside of battle. Vexen might keep a few test tubes cold and Xaldin might use his powers like a leaf blower or something small like that, but that's about it.
