I'm writing a crossover fanfic between Mulan and Mortal Kombat, so I've wanted to draw Kung Lao and Liu Kang in the Mulan artstyle for sometime now.

I enjoyed making this!

King of expressions, Kung Lao - For @zephours (they mentioned that they like Kung Lao so I made some gifs)

This is so true, every single word of it!

Kung Lao details that makes him the most adorable character in MK11:

1) His moles, the third one is in his back

2) His waist, he's so skinny and elegant compared to Liu Kang and Kung Jin, or even other male characters.

5) His bunny teeth, and this is not a coincidence

6) He's always smiling in game! Even his model has a smirk instead of a serious face like the rest of the characters. When you want to download the model for any program, Kung Lao will look like this.

And now let me show you some curious details about Lao.

7) He's the third smallest male character of all (Kuai baby🥺). And somewhere I read that Li Mei and Kung Lao measure almost the same, so he's not that tall. In game they look all the same, but in story mode it changes.

8) He is the most harassed BY THE ROSTER in the game (intros and even cinematics). The second one is Frost. Luckly, we love them.

9) Sadly, he has a bug in his eyes and we can see it in Story Mode and in game. My theory about this is  they wanted to make his eyes bigger for some reason, because his face model (Tian Shuai) doesn't have the same size (?) , and then, they forgot that line on both eyes. He's the only character with an error on his face, that's not fair NRS. Fix this already, it's been 1 year and a half.

10) The last one and my favourite of all, his

Lips

Oh, I love this. Same with his eyes, they made his lips bigger, but I'm grateful to the one who put that detail. I enjoy drawing those lips.
