So, I experimented with microdosing Psilocybin today. I was pleasantly surprised. It was nothing like the first time I tried magic mushrooms. This was way better. The first time, although I barely remember it, wasn't a good trip. This time, it wasn't really a "trip" in the same sense. At least not the entire time. I'd liken it to how the author describes Felix felicis.

Everything was more vivid. Music was even more of an escape than normal. I didn't dither or agonize about small decisions. E.g. if I was going to purchase something or not. "Anxiety" was a mere afterthought. Cannabis has always lowered my inhibitions, (I know, crazy, right?) but this was like being 10 years old again, at times. At some points, as my ADHD brain is fond of doing, it would wonder, and I'd have some moments that were exactly what you'd expect a "trip" to be. At one point I was laying on my bed, but in my mind I was cliff diving. I have never been cliff diving, nor would I ever consider it until my experience today. I can't stand being on a down escalator. Now, I want to go cliff diving.

I also found I was much more suggestible, and agreeable, and for once my "people pleaser" impulse had nothing to do with it. It was interesting being able to feel uninhibited, but with enough self-awareness to recognize and correct for my lack of ability to self-regulate my actions if I chose to. It was almost like the "me" that was experiencing the world with Psilocybin in my system, and the rational "me" were completely separate, but sympathetic entities.

Another contrast to my typical "high" with cannabis is the lack of desire for nicotine. When I'm stoned, all I want is nicotine and food, in that order. It's interesting not feeling like I need a puff from my vape every few seconds when high.

The most unusual effect though? I still have the sense of calm and emotional stability I did when I was high. It didn't dissipate rather quickly like with cannabis.

This has been very in-depth already, but I've been writing this for at least ten minutes, and I need to get to bed (at the time of writing.). If you want more details, let me know. I might document it's effects as I experiment further.

I think everyone needs to start posting about how many people have been coming out in solidarity with trans people everywhere in the US especially in vulnerable states, because I’m really touched by what happened at the University of Iowa. These kids shut it down because it’s not just a youtube bigot on their campus it’s so much bigger than that! This is huge
