To Shockwave, silence is a necessary routine, and inherently solitary. Alongside Soundwave, he finds silence to also be something that he can have with another. As Soundwave crosses paths with him again and again, the quiet is just one of many things — experiments, minds, and magnetically induced kisses — that Shockwave begins to share.

Wrote a wavewave fic with a bit more progression and story to it! Features mind meld, growing plant seeds, and magnetic mask-to-helm kisses (my favorite) ( ˘ ᵕ˘(˘ᵕ ˘ ) 💜💙

An excerpt:

The blue mech strides down the winding corridors of Shockwave’s mind and notes the scenery, the weather. He sees cryptic clouds on the horizon and discerns their intent, whether they mean to bring rain, or are cotton-balled decorations. He walks through a pasture of metal grass, copper-colored, and runs his fingers across the tips, feeling Shockwave’s emotions, which range from surface-level to deeper as he wanders into the field’s center. All of this, Shockwave is aware of. Shockwave does not attempt to intervene but savors the sensation of Soundwave’s hand upon his grass-shaped self — like gentle pets that can be felt in every corner of his processor. Soundwave’s touch does not seek to change, only observe and understand.

I think purple Shockwave would still be alive, but there’s a mirage that trails behind him and only Soundwave can see. He eventually learns that it’s Sen Shockwave and they begin to meet in Soundwave’s dreams (_ _ )⊹ ࣪ ˖

When Shockwave opens the door and sees a blue, blocky shape resting on his berth, he does not do anything so illogical as to cheer, or laugh, or crinkle his optic. He does, however, move swiftly in Soundwave's direction. Or: Shockwave is long overdue for a recharge. As per their prior arrangements, Soundwave helps him settle down enough to sleep.

Wrote a short, fluffy wavewave fic about Soundwave trying to get Shockwave to finally sleep ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧ (though this is also very reciprocal between them lol)

Shockwave can hear gears shifting, pistons churning, and pumps whirring as energon is circulated outwards, inwards, and in all directions. The sounds are myriad. Hushed yet distinct; regular yet captivating. They are clear proof that Soundwave still functions, and after one point or another, that has become reassuring for Shockwave to know. Past a certain point, it is difficult to tell where his own machinations stop and Soundwave’s begin. Shockwave belatedly realizes that he has slowed his processes to match Soundwave’s relaxed pace. Soundwave too seems to detect the shift and must enjoy the rhythm, his vocalizer thrumming a pleased, harmonious chord.
