Tony, a Warlock!

A portrait for one of the player characters in our new D&D campaign!

When he was a child, Tony's fishing village came under the influence of a Fae. A heavy fog permeated everything, twisting men and beasts alike. The Fae was eventually defeated, but something else had already lodged itself inside of Tony; something with six eyes... something hungry. Tony hasn't said a word since. Instead, he conveys his meaning with glares, raised eyebrows, a chalkboard, and signing.

*Fun fact! This character first appeared in our previous campaign as an npc. The quest we were on was pulled from the plot of "Fallout: Far Harbor" and tweaked to fit our campaign. Tony is a character in that game, so our DM brought him to ours!

sci fi is about one thing and one thing only.....actors throwing themselves around a room to simulate the ship being hit

Humans being the first. Not the strongest or the smartest or the weirdest or the most violent. Just the first.

We called out into the dark over and over. We sent out messages in hopes. We searched every planet we could reach, in hopes of any sign of life. Any at all.

We thought, hoped we were the last, because we couldn’t bear the idea of being the one ones this awake and alive in a world as vast as this.

And we died alone.

When the others are born, many many years later, they find us, everything we left for them.

They recover The Golden Record and look at it a million times over, they dig up our fossils and put us in museums, they study us for years and years, loving us as we love our ancestors’ painted hands on cave walls.

In a lot of their languages, the word they use for us has the same root for “mother”.

Consider: A generally lighthearted buddy comedy movie about two characters, out of whom one is british and the other is american, who meet by happenstance and need to join forces to achieve some mutual goal, going from resentful strangers genuinely going "ugh why are british people like this/why are americans like that" to doing that as jovial roasting between good friends. But instead of it being two white dudes, it's two women, of whom one is British Indian and the other is Native American.

And peppered between the lighthearted banter and a running joke about peoples' confusion about the word "indian", every once in a while there's a brutally dark joke of either of them pointing out - and bonding over - their own generational trauma and the horrors of colonialism.

Maul is just showing off and does this completely unnecessary jump to back away, doesn't bother to use the Force to open the doors but throws something at the controls.

AND FUCKING OBI-WAN KENOBI CASUALLY WALKS UP TO HIM, SWINGING HIS LIGHTSABER LIKE "YEAH I'M GONNA FUCK YOU UP BITCH"

The longer I look at it the funnier it gets. He's just not impressed at all lmao

URGENT EVICTION HELP

Hey guys? I could really use some help paying rent this month. My court date to be evicted is on the 21st of June. My boyfriend lost his job recently, and his workplace is refusing to pay him

I… really need help. I don’t have much food. My blood sugar is always out of wack because I’m not eating.I’m… running out of options. I need help. Please. Even a share helps.

I can’t work because my back is really messed up but the disability process where I live can take YEARS.

Another thing: I have an emotional support cat and I really don’t want to give her up but I’m not gonna make her live out of a car. I’m really scared of losing her.

Please help if you can.

My grandma just called and, among other things, said “You have hips. That’s good! Men like hips!” and then she interrupted herself to say “Women like hips. People of your preferred gender like hips. I can never remember”  And I was like “Thanks grandma! My preferred gender is none of them, no thanks.” and she was like “Okay, no one will comment on your hips!” very self satisfied, like “aha, I have figured it out” I think like half her grandkids are some variety of not-straight and she can’t always remember which is which but she is the epitome of like “she’s a little confused, but she’s got the spirit!”
