sorry to make this about orym & fearne but like. the fact that orym throughout exu prime and c3 have a fixed idea of what (circlets, swords, spyglasses, etc) shouldn't belong to who (dorian, laudna, fearne, etc) based on his own soldier risk assessment but THROWS that completely out the window when it comes to fearne calloway.

the spyglass i mentioned? orym stole a new one for fearne's sake. and in oaths and ash? orym plain and simply handed the devil's literal contract to fearne for her to do what she pleases. his devotion to her is on another level from everyone else i fear. that's his girl. he's her person.

I think as a fandom we need to consider Fearne/Chetney/Caleb more.

Fearne and Caleb in their competition to fuck that old man but sometimes the competition escalates and now they're flirting. Chetney is kinda into it either way.

can we discuss bright eyed naive Imogen temult who couldn’t get access to a university library

it just shows how the two years imogen had with laudna on the road changed her for the better. in gelvaan i don't imagine imogen is unused to rejection and not fitting in and being turned away and not meeting the expectation. she forgot about these with laudna. so the fact that at the university she had been trying to keep herself as optimistic as possible while tearing open her own rejection letter is killing me proper. imogen changed but the world didn't.

when orym mentioned about bor'dor in oaths & ash and laudna made a face i cheered so loud. yay the trauma is still there! it never left! she might have a wife and a cottage but they never did resolved their guilts and traumas did they! give the chef my compliments mmmm.
