Passion fruit, also known as lillikoi, is rich in vitamin A vitamin C and fiber. But most of all, it's a mouth-watering sour and sweet flavor that's unlike any other fruit. Eat the insides (seeds and all). It's low glycemic index makes it a great, healthy dessert. #passionfruit #passionfruitplant #healthcoachingtips #healthydessert #lillikoi #dessertoftheday https://www.instagram.com/p/CayhHB_rM2T/?utm_medium=tumblr

Don't fall for incredible marketing techniques. Sugar is sugar. Coconut sugar is concentrated sugar from the coconut. White sugar is concentrated sugar from cane or beet. There are many other sugars and forms, like high fructose corn syrup, cane sugar syrup, simple syrup, fruit juice concentrate, maple syrup, honey, rice syrup, date sugar, and even agave. They are all sugar. Regardless of the source, the concentration of carbohydrates (sugar) is what matters. My recommendations for alternatives? Pure monk fruit. #healthcoaching #sugar #sugareducation #allaboutsugar #typesofsugar #coconutsugar #canesugar #healthysugaralternatives https://www.instagram.com/p/Caiqov4JvRA/?utm_medium=tumblr

Do you drink more than 1 cup of coffee a day? Coffee itself (coffee beans, ground, water) is full of the anti-aging compounds called antioxidants. Antioxidants are required for healthy cells and energy and healthy aging. Most Americans actually get their antioxidants from COFFEE. Can you believe it? However, coffee has it's issues: - Depletes magnesium, potassium and calcium! - Acts as a diuretic: it dehydrates you - Worsens anxiety (even if you feel like you are not "caffeinated") - Causes sleep issues (even if you feel like you are not "caffeinated") - Sugar and dairy additions to the coffee lead to weight gain, glucose imbalance, digestion issues, and more. Drink it clean! - Increases dopamine and other excitatory neurotransmitters, which can cause your brain to rely on it for focus and joy. Overtime, it can deplete these brain chemicals, and reduce the body's ability to create them on their own. Moderate amounts of coffee (1-2 cups) a day is fine. But check yourself to make sure you NOT addicted: stop it for a week! If you get headaches and fatigue, you may need to spend some time off of it to rebalance your brain and hormone levels again. Being dependent upon any food or substance can lead to hardship when you are NOT on them. So coffee, 1-2 cups a day, with the ability to stop drinking it if necessary.... And without dairy and sugar, it's actually beneficial 😊 Choose your coffee wisely. ☕ #iscoffeebadforyou #caffeine #healthandwellness #healthcoach #nutritioncoach
