writing update:

hello, to those of you that follow my writing/ao3 (@coolbeansbuddyofmine)

first and foremost, i am a college student and that’s my main gig. a part of that is being a student journalist which is something i’m personally very passionate about. 

rn, there are several news stories that i personally have to report on and write articles for which does mean my fic writing schedule is going to be skewed. ao3 will have to be put on the backburner bc of the stories im following and a investigative piece i’m working on that is the culmination of 6 months of work and will be released before the end of this year. as much as i enjoy fic writing, i have to prioritize this right now, because we all know how important it is to have unbiased, properly reported news and this is so much important to me in academia.

i know many of you are eagerly anticipating my updates, and fret not - i will finish them but until mid to late september, i will be busy with the more official writing i do for my academic life. i have a break then (late sept), and i will be back then. the fics will be finished and updated, and who knows maybe occasionally i will post an update even earlier but my point is there are no guarantees i can give you.

you can dm me here and check in with me, i’m always happy to answer any questions and talk to people :))) but would appreciate some patience on your end as i juggle several things at once - i am, unfortunately, human like rest of us (looking respectfully at the bots) and that means there’s only so much i can do.

i know that i’ve updated very quickly in the past, but that was in the summer when my betas and i were all free. we’re all very busy college students now ;-; and the fact of the matter is, we have to prioritize these real-life experiences and our education over fandom (as enjoyable as fandom is - it is a form of escapism for me).

this is a very long essay, i’m aware. the majority of my readers are lovely people who are so kind and check up on me every once in a while to see that i’m breathing/alive (appreciate that) but i wanted to give a due notice so that we’re all on the same page here.
