For @valorcorrupt <3 It’s only about halfway done, but it is a start. <3 One post a day, cleaning out drafts on Fridays--I will eventually find a way to manage two RP blogs at once, but for now I think just getting on here and getting started on something was a good place to begin.

Guess who is still alive!! <3 No major reason for taking a week off, I have just been recharging the creative batteries. AND I dropped a ton of drafts on my main RP account, so that’s made things less stressful!! I really do think I should create some kind of activity schedule for this account... Maybe pick a day of the week. Fridays, maybe? Hmm. Will have to think that over.

TL:DR

The devs admit:

war table wasn’t designed the best - “flavor” missions where it didn’t matter which advisor went let the player lax and not pay attention to when it did matter which advisor went.

some missions would have worked better as playable scenes or cut entirely instead of being on the table. One the flip side, some originally planned playable scenes had to be cut and were still able to be included by ending up on the table instead.

war table missions were made after the rest of the game was done and voice over were complete, so having companions react to the missions couldn’t happen. That’s why many reactions were added into Trespasser.

when writing war table missions they didn’t know if any of those missions would actually be read, what the rewards would be, how much time they would take, etc. Had they known exactly how they were to be used, they might have gone about them differently.

That “respect your duplicates” thing also goes for player characters for me (Heroes of Ferelden, Hawkes, Inquisitors). Player characters do exist in some strange limbo between canon and OC, but I feel this still applies. Feeling insecure about your specific player character and being upset if your original content is stolen is 110% a-okay. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. But, don’t you DARE try to run anyone out simply for playing the same character as you. Don’t you fucking dare. Talk out your insecurities if you need to, but NEVER send anon hate. NEVER vague about people. NEVER act like you have a monopoly on the HoF / Hawke / Inquisitor and yours is the only one allowed to exist. Do not guilt your partners into feeling like yours is the only version they can write with.

If I EVER see any of y’all being nasty to anyone without legitimate cause, I fucking hope the door hits you on the ass after I dropkick you out of it. Y’all know me by now. Y’all know nothing much bothers me. I can’t even do those rant memes because I have nothing to rant about. For the most part I’m pretty laid back, willing to give people a chance, don’t get angry or hold grudges, etc. But, this? This pisses me right the fuck off. I HATE to see other people get hurt. I HATE to see other people being mistreated. I HATE to see other people feeling down or upset. More than that, I hate to see people bully and mistreat others. If you degrade others, I don’t care who you, you are GONE.

Whenever I’m playing DA2 and I come across NPCs voiced by the same person as Cassandra, I have to imagine that’s just Varric forcing her to do the voices with him.

//So I’ve been seeing a lot of untagged triggers on my dash lately and though I don’t exactly have triggers of my own (on bad days some things bother me more than others but), untagged triggers do tend to give me a bunch of secondhand anxiety (I worry about people that content is triggering for seeing it basically). 

So here’s a little list of things that you should probably tag in ALL situations, even in ooc posts: 

suicidal ideation, suicide, depression, self-harm, abuse, sexual violence/sexualized violence (hitting? slapping? choking? during sex? rough sex? please tag it), sexual assault, assault, child sex abuse (often tagged as ‘csa’), rape, body image, racism, fantasy racism, homophobia, transphobia, antisemitism, Nazi, Nazi mention, anything to do with the Holocaust, gore, blood, body horror, decay, eye trauma, dental trauma, eye contact, scopophobia, horror, food, eating disorders, blood magic, character death, reblog traps (those “you have to reblog this in 30 seconds if you want (or don’t want) x outcome” posts), eye strain, epilepsy, blue space, vaguing/vague post, spiders, alcohol/alcohol mention, drugs, addiction, trypophobia, animal abuse, animal death, animal illness, child death, family death, terminal illness, pregnancy, childbirth, animatronics, ableist language, ableism, slurs, emetophobia, incest

These seem to be common triggers for specifically this RPC, and I know a lot of people who have problems with seeing these topics untagged. 

Obviously I’m not the tagging police or anything and I’m not about to call people out but! Tagging these items diligently here will keep people feeling safer and enjoying your content safely on the dash, and likely make you more friends comfortable with seeing your posts. 

Just food for thought/a reminder to have curtosey, basically.

I think I just need to admit to myself that my activity on this account will be slow. I love Cassandra, and I love Dragon Age, but with work/another RP account/etc I feel like it should be made clear that I might take a while to get to drafts. This does not mean I love my drafts with you any less or that I don’t love Cassandra. I do, I just have other obligations. 

I have discord and am open to RPing there if anyone is like “But I absolutely want more of your Cass!!” <3

here is something i haven’t seen people talk about.

RESPECTING YOUR DUPLICATES

no one is forcing you to interact with them, or follow them or even look at them. there is a blacklist for a reason if you don’t want to see them around. but people need to get rid of the idea that THEY own the character, and no one else can play as them. get rid of that mentality that no one else is allowed to have that muse that YOU DIDN’T CREATE, and that anyone who has that muse should be chased away because they aren’t you. that makes you an asshole quite honestly.

unless it’s your OWN ORIGINAL CHARACTER, you cannot tell people not to write a muse. it’s okay to be uncomfortable with duplicates, i think we all get a little anxious or nervous about them, but it is NOT okay to try and chase them all out. vagueing about them, sending them hate and telling them they’re not good at what they do? that’s fucked up. so stop. you do not own that canon character you’re playing and you should stop trying to chase them all away and acting like you’re the best of the best. everyone brings something to the table.

so just. the moral of the message is RESPECT THAT DUPLICATES EXIST AND QUIT TRYING TO CHASE THEM AWAY BECAUSE YOU THINK YOU SHOULD BE THE ONLY ONE.

ALSO I want to use this space to acknowledge @honnleathrose. I love seeing what people do with character we know next to nothing; about how fans flesh them out and I love how she’s made Rosalie three-dimensional and a living-breathing person. More than just a name on a page. A+ job!

@brycecousland is another person doing a great job fleshing out a character about whom we have little information. I can tell by the headcanons and RP threads that the mun is putting in a lot of effort to dig deeper into Bryce’s character than what we were given in canon. 

And have I mentioned @atonings‘s Loghain yet? Loghain such a divisive character and I love how unpologetically passionate the mun is about their love for him!!

How to help black people in the RPC

Avoid whitewashed characters. This includes dark-skin characters faceclaimed with light-skinned celebrities or PSDs of lightened icons. 

If their muse is a black canon character, support their series. Doesn’t matter if you like the character or not. Representation is important. Watch black media, buy their books, DVDs, and merch. And don’t bootleg. 

Try not to say words like “SJW”, “pandering”, or “forced diversity” when describing a black character you dislike. And remember, there are white characters with the same personalities, so do not give them the benefit of the doubt just because they’re white. 

When writing a black character, study black culture. Learn about colorism, misogynoir, natural hair, police brutality, and other topics. It’ll help you avoid racist stereotypes.

Defend black muns from racist harassment. You can reblog their PSAs and OOC posts with the OPs permission and respond. 

Allow black muns to reblog pro-black or political posts. Whether in IC or OOC. Do not shame them that their posts are “stressful”. Living with anti-blackness in person is much harder than seeing a little post of BLM in your dash. If they tag their posts, there should be no complaints.
