Using the workplace ethernet for my data transfer today. Attempts to mv them from cluster to cluster failed because of low speed. I also bicycled to my office which i usually dont do.

There is also a seminar later that i want to go.

I am little distracted when i change work environment especially at uni where lots pf distractions take place.

my body has been manifesting so many anxiety signs these days because one of my deadlines although i still have one more week to submit the assignment, but apart from that one i have a ton of essays to do + final dissertation. if it were not for ariana's album i'd have lost my head fr.

i guess this weekend is gonna be night-study-aesthetic and meeting the word count as soon as i can to play sims 4 again and reading with no guilt

Even though it is spring break, I am using this time to get ahead with school work. I feel like half of my time going to school is trying to balance life, work, and school. Any tips?

After the retreat i needed a little change. I traveled to Athens to visit my partner and relax. I will still work but change of environment helps a lot ☺️🤭 our dog Siva is super happy and cute.

Today i am starting a new project.

I want to do a better annotation on the genome that exists online on the organism that i work on. I will attempt with HOMER software. I hope it works !

What a shit day🙃 I already had more than enough things to do today, since last week I was at the conference and I have a meeting with my supervisor tomorrow, but the I discovered an error in some code I am using that is not mine and now I have to redo so many things and it takes so much time and is 7:30pm and I have no idea when I’ll finish but I just want go home

Today is the mms magnificent mini symposium 🔥

All last week was sunny and beautiful and today we want to barbecue afterwards and it has snow temperatures wind and rain 🫨

Struggled to get focused but i finally managed to have a presentation ready last minute. That means practicing ranges between 0.5-2 times before presenting 😅.

My SMART goal for today:

In order to create real or mockplots that make sense i will create first a story for my presentation until 17:00 that will have structure and goal and will be a single storyline for a paper. From that i will be able to choose which figures i want to show later.

I would like to use more smart goals on every day tasks and make fewer and more specific goals with a purpose.

Update: i got so deep into making hypotheses that i opend my code and ran analyses that never finished instead of actually doing the task.

Same goal for today. Lets try again. 😅

I am posting today because i have to record also good days and not just struggle.

I want to celebrate that i finally managed to matriculate to the university after long period of paperwork rejection and more paperwork. The bureaucracy i experienced in Germany is insane and after all this difficulties I did it!

Also today i received the first batch of my sequenced data i sent last year for my PhD project and i need also to celebrate this because i had to organize hundreds of samples and speak with many different people to decide and create the final sample list. Another yei!

I got some tulips and cooked Japanese curry to enjoy these wins
