It’s been a while since I posted.

Here’s some not great pencil art of Inuyasha and the Elric brothers.

I noticed some parallels between the protagonists while watching Inuyasha.

Both of them are angry and small, lack present fathers and lost their mothers, both of them have a sibling, but Edward is an older brother and is usually there for Al, while Inuyasha is the baby in his family and his older brother Sesshomaru was never really there when he was younger (as far as I know, I’m still on season 1).

This whole drawing is based off of a dream I had last night where the boys were living by themselves in a cheap apartment, Ed was Al’s legal caretaker at this point since I guess he was around 17 and had a part time gig at their local Walmart or their universe’s equivalent of that. Ed would pick up Alphonse after school and take him along so he could help with homework and whatever, so that’s why they were both there.

Anyway, Ed gets off work, it’s late, probably around 11 pm and the brothers are doing a little grocery shopping for the weekend before they leave, and while they’re in the produce aisle Hohenheim walks in apparently searching for them but passes it off as just looking for lettuce. For whatever reason in my dream he decided that he wanted to have custody of his kids. I genuinely don’t remember why, but it seemed like there was something off.

Basically for most of the dream it’s the boys sneaking around the store finishing shopping while evading their dad, he spots them at one point and chases them but they manage to get to their beat up looking car that I can only assume is a 2006 ford Taurus or their version of it, and drive off.

Ed is a chaotic driver by the way. I mean they almost crashed twice and nearly ran someone off a bridge, but it was dark and it started raining halfway to their apartment so I can somewhat justify this. I think it was Envy they almost pushed off the road but that part’s blurry. There was a car chase for a second though.

Then I woke up. To be honest I’m kind of invested in this au now. I don’t write fanfic and I don’t really do aus, but this dream was awesome.
