If you need to cry, then cry. Let loose all the screams living in your chest. Do whatever it takes to get through the pain, just as long as you get through it. Do not let yourself think this is it. If he was too stupid to see the love that poured from your soul then let him go. Release him from your heart and find someone who does see it. Because that’s what you deserve, someone who’s love adds to the fire of yours.

1. Not all love will be good love but it will all teach you something. 2. Stop overthinking because it’s not suppose to be that hard. If you love someone you tell them and you go from there. 3. Everyone shows their love differently. Just because they don’t show it the same way you do doesn’t mean they don’t care just as much. 4. If someone ever makes you feel unworthy of love, leave them. Get out as quick as you can and never look back. You deserve to be loved by someone who appreciates you without a doubt. 5. Sometimes it’s better just not to say anything. Take an hour and think about it. Some things aren’t worth the fight. 6. Love is a decision you have to make every single day. 7. Don’t compare your love story to someone else’s. All that matters is that everyone is happy together. How you get there is not important. 8. There are going to be lots of people that bring you flowers. Wait for the person who plants a whole garden for you to grow together. 9. Never forget about the little things that make your relationship special.10. Never stop loving. Even when your heart is breaking, believe in love. Because it is coming, and when it finds you it will be amazing. I promise.

I know society tells you he’s perfect, he treats you right and he’s always there for you. I know your parents think he’s the one, he’s nice and you’re so happy when you’re with him. I know your friends all wish they had a guy like him, he listens and he’s such a romantic. I know your brain tells you to love him, he makes you feel safe and you make sense together. But what does your heart say? Because feelings can’t hide from your heart and even when you’re too scared to accept it, your heart knows.

It’s okay to be afraid of love. Love is big and scary and a little crazy. Love is opening yourself up and becoming vulnerable. It’s trusting someone with a part of you that you can never have back. But that’s what makes it one of the bravest things we can do as human beings. You’re allowed to be scared, but please be brave too.

Think about it. Think about who you want by your side in ten, twenty, fifty years. Is it the person that you’re with? Is this the person you want to live with, grow with, make memories with for the rest of your life? Can you listen to their laugh, their complaints, their stories again and again? Will you be able to support their dreams? Or tell them the truth, even when it’s hard? Because if not then what are you doing? Why are you wasting time with them when there is someone out there who is waiting to check yes to all of these things? Stop thinking and go. Find them, before you miss your shot.

Because sometimes you meet someone and you don’t know how or why or what brought you together but suddenly you can’t imagine life without them. And everything feels lighter and brighter and better with them there. You forget who you were before them because you’ve never felt more like yourself than right now, being held in their arms.

Some days will be harder than others. You won’t always be happy. The world will beat you down until you feel defeated, exhausted, and alone. It’s in these moments that it’s most important to remember your good days. The ones where you couldn’t stop smiling. How you were so happy it seemed like all the sadness you’d ever felt disappeared. The moments when every thing and every one was on your side. Because even when it feels impossible to make it through the bad days, a good day is waiting. You just have to make it there.

So, tell me everything. Tell me how your heart beats three times as quick when they’re around. Tell me how time blurs together when you’re with them but seconds feel like years when you’re apart. Tell me how their eyes look in the sun and how it feels to fall asleep in their arms. Tell me how you love them, in a thousand different ways. Tell me how they make the impossible seem possible because they are an example of an impossible dream coming true. Now, tell them.

Don’t let people get away with treating you poorly. Call them out. Be frank. Be assertive. People need to know when they’ve wronged you and that they can’t do it again.
