Long post alert! 🚨😂 Imho, my “favorite Christmas cake I’ve ever made” has come a *long* way in a year!! 🥰💚❤️🎄🙈🥰 . It was just a few months after I made the cake on the left that I decided I wanted to start a baking blog.....but I made that decision with little baking experience and ZERO knowledge on blogging or even photography. 🙈 . . The progress I see in the shot on the right....came through *many* cakes NOT going the way I wanted. 🤦🏼‍♀️ . Through having to stop, adjust tactics, or even just start over. . Through frustration. Through long hours and late nights. Through the realization that even labors of love can still be stressful and draining. 🙈 . . But somewhere in the midst of the struggles, there was also growth. 💕 And now, looking back, there’s motivation to keep working forward. ❤️ . . So if you’re feeling the drain of struggling right now....it IS worth it. 🙌 You’re NOT hopeless. ❤️ You’re getting better. You’re getting STRONGER. Don’t give up. 👊🏻 . . FAVORITE moment of the day I dropped these off - two WIDE-eyed almost-4-year-olds staring at the cupcakes and whispering “Is that HULK SMASH?!?” 😮😮😮 . OH my gosh. TOO much adorable!! 🤗🥰😍 It was one of those moments though - you know, those moments when you’re reminded of your ‘why’? I had stressed and struggled and turned the kitchen into a *disaster zone* putting everything together, but in that moment it was all SO completely worth it! 🥰😍🥰 The prep and work and stress and cleanup didn’t matter anymore; these kiddos were SO EXCITED about their Hulk smash cupcakes!!
