genshin characters and the type of boba tea they'd order! feat. ayato, ayaka, thoma, zhongli, ei , and yae miko

ayato - this man is very selective with his teas and usually sticks to ordering the same one. i feel as if royal milk tea would suit him well, honestly? he thinks its meant for royalty to drink as the name mentions "royal" in it, so hes like . . . well. im head of kamisato clan, does that count? he keeps the sweetness level to 50 percent since 50 is the perfect amount, he says. sometimes he likes to have pearls in his milk tea and sometimes without. anyway he's kinda weird about his preference with his milk tea LOL

ayaka - ayaka would definitely enjoy having a peach tea with aiyu jelly as some type of pick-me-up drink!! she'd place it on her table while shes surveying paperwork for internal and external affairs of the kamisato clan. occasionally after clocking out for the day, she'd head with thoma and the two would get fruit teas together. ayaka enjoys the texture of the aiyu jelly, so she'd order a little more than the average portion.

thoma - SHARETEA HAS THIS SET OF DRINKS THAT ARE LIKE DOG THEMED????????? THERES A GOLDEN RETRIEVER ONE BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT'S IN IT. anyway, that drink is perfect for thoma. but he'd either get a passionfruit orange with grapefruit tea or thai tea. and he'd have them without pearls because he's afraid that he'll choke on them?? he's super cautious about that. his choices fully depend on his mood!

zhongli - classic oolong tea for this man. anything classic. there was a massive line of people who were waiting to get their boba cravings satisfied. zhongli being zhongli, had noticed it and the unfamiliar drink caught his attention instantaneously. he's one to see everything liyue harbor had to offer, so trying this drink was a must. he's tried the majority of drinks but would rather stick with classic oolong tea with his usual orders. he has delicate taste buds, smh

ei - ei is . . . completely unfamiliar with most things inazuma. yae miko proposed taking a walk once to familiarize the electro archon to boba. reluctant at first, ei ended up agreeing to miko's proposal. ei has only ever tried hokkaido milk tea and that seems to be her favorite so far. though, there's still a variety of drink that she has yet to try. she enjoys the pearls, finding them "rather delightful" for her preferences. when the news of the electro archon favoring boba, the drink quickly rose to population

yae miko - yae miko is a fan of all flavors of boba tea. fruit teas, milk teas, fresh milk, ice blended, you name it. she favors all the toppings that go with them as well. but even yae has her favorites. she prefers taro ice blended with the toppings of pudding or pearls and normally keeps down the sweetness.

and though the two of you went on distinct paths, rest assured that the winds will always guarantee your safety.

you remained within the nation of inazuma, abiding by your role as a commerce guild master with a bit of too much time on your hands.

that time was spent aiding sailors in their journies in hopes that you'll be able to see kazuha again as he'd lean on the railings of captain beidou's ship.

it was improbable that you'll be able to see him again, but there was always a lingering hope.

whenever leaves would brush the top of your hair, it wouldn't take a long time for the wind to blow them away.

it gave you hope—hope that you'll be able to see him again. hope that he still reciprocated those feelings that you confessed to him before his departure.

so when you concluded your duties as the master of your own commerce guild for the day, you hurried towards the ports of inazuma.

you were greeted by merchants and sailors when you reached the ports, occasionally having idle chatter with them while you fastened ropes.

moments later, you heard a call for a ship's arrival. you had taken a few steps back, followed by several sailors who had done the same.

"it's captain beidou!" one yelled out.

it didn't register in your mind at the time until you saw a flicker of blonde hair with strands of red.

you gradually tilted your head up, the stupefaction still visible in your face.

then a pair of scarlet red eyes stared into your own. his features were still the same since you last saw him, the very smile of his being plastered on his lips.

the very smile that you saw when he departed on the ship.

"kazuha."

plot: childe has to bear with your final moments after you possessed a delusion. genre: angst. that's really much it. note: gender-neutral reader ,, mentions of death ,, basically a drabble

childe took everything for granted.

the time he had with you especially. with you possessing a delusion in your hands, he knew that time was going to be up eventually but didn't know when.

chinese takeouts and conversations that could last for hours. the memories started flooding in and his tears too.

he handed you the delusion as a gift, oblivious of its outcome at the time. he thought it'll suit you well.

and it did. it did.

the smile plastered on your face as he presented the gift in his hands was all he needed. he watched you use the delusion with your eyes brightening up and that's all he could ever ask for.

you'd jump into his arms, explaining all your adventures with your gift, and thanked him more than once.

when he realized the consequences of possessing the delusion, it was already too late.

you had used it. and that already was enough.

it was a permanent effect, even if you stopped using it. the consequences gradually made their way to you in the end.

so when he spent your final moments with you, you didn't blame him for it.

"darling, im sorry. if i had known sooner then-"

"oh, don't be."

there was a pause.

with your eyes meeting with his, your eyes could barely handle the tears surging in and it showed.

"thank you for the gift."

sypnosis ; an inevitable fate of a mortal brings peace to the rest of teyvat.  notes ; zhongli x gn!reader, angst, mentions of death

“rex lapis, do you ever think of realities after the archon war?” you gestured to the god to come lay alongside you, only for him to watch how your body failed to move. dread dwelled deep within his chest as the sight of it all was unendurable to see

he stood there, distorted and numb with each second passing. this was the existence that he dreaded for the longest.

“...you’re still able to sign the contract! you’ll continue living and experience those eventualities we’ve always spoken about—“

your pupils gradually flickered onto him while your lips curved upwards into a smile with what strength you had left. you already acknowledged your fate, no matter how much you’d desire to encounter those realities after seeing the war come to an end.

a mortal, which was what you were.

a mortal that managed to be involved in the archon war someway or another. and that itself already concludes your fate.

you were quick to decline the god’s offer, for you knew that in many other realities it wouldn’t change.

it was bittersweet at first; those futures will end up as futile dreams to you, though you wouldn’t change your fate for the world if it meant not being able to meet rex lapis.

the god intrigued by your fantasies in the future, even if teyvat seemed at its worse. and prior to the archon war, the god you’d share your time with as you’d admire the illuminated stars up above.

you wouldn’t change that for the world. 

“i know you’ll both be able to put an end to this, both you and guizhong... im sure of it.” 

inevitable it was, though you’ll always cherish the moments spent in teyvat. at the best times and worse times, teyvat was your special abode where you sought comfort within. you felt frail. “think of me when you look up into the stars. i’ll always be there, my love.”

in those final moments, rex lapis pursed his lips. he stood there, completely oblivious that tears happened to be dropping from his cheek.

it’s a reality he never bothered to accept and even seeing it before his eyes, he couldn’t accept death—especially the one of his lover. then he walked away.

zhongli sauntered throughout the streets of liyue. the harbor made a fine establishment to accommodate goods and those alike. he’d occasionally check the sales for cor lapis and noctilucous jade with merchants. 

a lively place indeed, where ‘rex lapis’ may have deceased but the peace of liyue lives on. thanks to the death of a mortal, peace was restored throughout teyvat. the god made sure of that.

with nobody knowing of the true story behind the fall of the archon war, only gods and those involved acknowledged that the true story isn’t recorded in books, but held in secret.

he carried several glaze lilies within his fingertips as a reminder of guizhong while looking at the stars.

even if he spent days at a time on the seas, it seems as if your relationship continued to blossom with kazuha.

he's eager to read the piles of letters you had written for him and he'd send letters with gifts from his travels in return. at times, this was all he thought about.

everything was completely platonic . . . even if the obvious chemistry said otherwise.

he rendered you with a feeling of warmth and a longing to see him again.

you missed when he'd come back from his travels, gifts in hand and plenty of haikus waiting to be said. he'd lead you with his hand intertwined with yours to a nearby tree before offering you his lap to lay your head upon.

that tree was the one you were looking at right now.

idle chatter from merchants rang through your ears as you walked towards the tree with a smile making its way on your lips.

the mere thought of kazuha tenderly running his fingertips through your hair as he composed a haiku dedicated to you made your cheeks flush with a reddish hue.

you placed your back against the tree and settled down to unwind before placing your palms on the grass.

"ah. this must be a coincidence, hmm?"

you straightened your posture instantaneously after overhearing the soft-toned voice from behind the tree until kazuha came into view by standing in front of you.

a subtle reddened tint coated your cheeks and that reaction seemed to be enough for his satisfaction.

he kneeled in front of you, a brief smile spreading on his lips. his eyes softened as he gently caressed your face with his cold fingertips.

"kazu . . ." your palms were still settling on the grass, "when did you get back?"

"just now," he said simply whilst continuing to caress your face gently as he used to do often. "beidou allowed me to do so since—"

kazuha stammered with his words and averted his eyes from your gaze of confusion. his cheeks had flushed into a nice hue of red, which doesn't occur regularly.

he cleared his throat, "well. now that i have an opportunity to take you out."

his fingertips reached to intertwine with yours as you both exchanged a glance, butterflies in both of your stomachs and flushed cheeks.

albedo had always been reserved and competent, that part you knew well.

he’d never bother asking for help as to not burden others with his troubles. though when you saw him exiting the knights of favonius headquarters with his arms being overfilled with his painting equipment, you couldn’t help but at the sight.

he rotated his head towards the familiar sounds of your laughter and his eyes fell onto yours.

it’s been months since albedo last saw you due to his travels in dragonspine. he had been accustomed to greeting you in the morning before heading inside the headquarters and then during the afternoon.

it felt normal again.

“need help with that, chief alchemist?” you sauntered towards him as your lips curved into a smile.

he blinked once, then several of times with no words leaving his lips.

you took some of his painting equipment from his arms anyway as he still couldn’t find words to respond with.

“it’s…”

“been almost a year?” you finished his sentence with your eyes meeting with his again. “but it feels like forever, right?”

the two of you proceeded walking shoulder to shoulder like you’ve done before his travels to dragonspine.

albedo couldn’t help but feel a fluttering feeling in his stomach. he wasn’t aware of how reddened his cheeks were or how his heartbeat felt like it was going to explode.

he cleared his throat, “then would you like to join me as i paint once again?”
