I really enjoy art galleries in SL. Visual arts often inspire my poetry. This gallery is new to me, but I would like to come back. It is situated on a really beautiful parcel and is one of several galleries there.

I am also happy to have found these sandals again. My nickname for my inventory is "The Black Hole of Calcutta". After I stumbled across them, I decided I wanted a matching outfit that felt like Spring, so I chose this East-Indian-Inspired fuchsia top and pants from Zaara.

SF/FANTASY MASHUP

So, I am really excited about Spelljammer 5e coming out. I have pre-ordered it even though I have zero disposable income right now. The most surprising thing about this though, is not my total lack of financial responsibility, but my change of attitude toward this setting. When the original version was unveiled in the 90s, I was underwelmed. Back then, I had strict ideas about genre mixing like the old commercial in which crowds of weirdos get mad because of a candy accident and yell "You got peanut butter in my chocolate!" and vice versa before deciding the combo is delicious. You would think I would have loved SF elements in my fantasy back then because I was a huge Star Wars fan, but I think my biggest problem was with cosmology and world building. How does psionics, for example, fit with magic? Can there be spaceships and dragons? How does it change a game world if there is space travel?

These days, I just feel like telling my past self to relax. More colors on the palate can make a better painting. I am in favor of more crayons in the box.
