Hi all.
Dunno how much longer I’m keeping this blog active. Life happened a lot this past year so I was never able to get the podcast off the ground the way I wanted (and I really wanted it to happen, believe me). A lot of big things and changes happened in my life that forced me to set the idea of the podcast aside.
I thank you all for following me in my quest to find some good ole fashioned Midwest humor in the mundane.

I'm not sure how much time you're looking to spend at different places, but if you have the time, I definitely recommend touring the Dodge House in Council bluffs and also going up to fairview cemetery to see the black angel statue
It’s a bit out of the way from where I’m going, but I’ll see if I can’t make my way down. I didn’t even know there was another Black Angel Statue in Iowa!

You should read the book gitchie girl. Its about the Gitchie Manitou murders which happened up in Northwest Iowa (not so coincidentally near where I live; they actually made us read the book for school where I grew up which is why im familiar with the book and murders).
Oo that sounds fascinating. I’ve never heard of those! I just placed a hold on it at my library, will def check it out. Thanks so much for the rec!
