Can I explain why I love Spencer James so much? It won’t take long. HE’S NICE. How he talks to people? Is just so comforting and it’s why people feel warmth from him. For a main character, this man is consistently and genuinely so kind. He leads with kindness and compassion and understanding first and then you gotta push him. It’s not like you have to have him COME AROUND to support you. He supports first. He leans towards love first. That’s a good man

My crush on Spencer James got worse after that episode. Why is he everything?

Jordan keeps saying my dad did this, my dad said this, my dad used to do this, so I know he’s still struggling but calling Layla “baby girl” was where he pushed it. That’s what he used to call OLIVIA not LAURA. Not his GIRL. His daughter! See that was fucking weird. See you crossed it.

Olivia was baby girl

Jordan was baby boy

He called his twins baby girl/baby boy. He’s trying to talk like his dad okay but what possesses you to call your girl what your dad calls your sister?

Olivia saying she was so concerned about everyone else after hearing about the Billy and Grace affair, she never processed her own feelings and that is just CANON AND REAL! She tried to drink the night she found out but nobody ever sat her down and asked how she was feeling. She was too busy trying to make sure everybody else was okay. Her character is so full and beautiful. I’m obsessed with her

Jordan will stab Spencer in the back and when it doesn’t work be like you know I didn’t mean that for real

Behind Spencer’s back, Jordan is shit talking him to teammates and is like you don’t understand, I need you to GET THIS MAN OFF THE FIELD but when Spencer gets drafted watch him be like I knew you could do it! This man is scary as fuck?

You know, I always thought Jordan would get over his complex with Spencer BEFORE we reached the NFL but instead we’ve reached Jordan helping an assistant coach remove Spencer from all the plays because the media and NFL is paying attention to Spencer too much and Jordan wants to block that for him. We’ve absolutely hit rock bottom with him. This is literally unforgivable but watch this show feel they can solve it with a hug. Jordan is happily actively participating in a man trying to hurt Spencer’s chances in the NFL but because Spencer will be drafted anyway that makes them still “brothers”

Spencer could marry Olivia and I will never consider them brothers

I'm saying this now, Simone's dad is gonna die next season. Corey, Billy, Damon's father and then naturally next is Simone's father. This show likes to kill dads. They're not gonna kill Layla or Asher's dad because they need to stay alive to hate their guts. Only bad dads can live.

god the flash series finale sucked, im still mad about it this many months later

On my rewatch I noticed that at no point did Spencer ever equate losing Billy to losing Corey to Olivia. He never used losing his father as a way to relate to Olivia losing hers because he didn't need the association. Spencer didn't need to create that comparison to her because the foundation was already laid between those two where he would already feel it.

He felt it and she knew he felt it because they are already connected.

Yeah but the tweaks were making damon from a rich family who gave up going directly to pro baseball to go to college to save a struggle team he doesn’t even know. a whole team of people he has no connection too. from jump nobody could relate to him. the only times you can relate to him are the moments that are from Spencer’s. Everything they pulled from Spencer’s stories and arcs are too close to the original but what they made up sucks. It was all a mess.

he didn’t need to be there at all. it made no sense.

THE FUNNIEST PART OF THIS-

Nobody cares about Damon’s story.

Damon Sims has the worst story on the show after Keisha. His individual shit outside of ships, like as a person, nobody cares. His shit got old so fucking fast. I love how nobody even mentioned like this mans STORY is gonna be unfinished because he doesn’t have an interesting one. He was headed nowhere. There’s not really much for him. To him. I never got attached to the person and wanting to see him in adulthood, what’s he gonna do later. I don’t care. When Taye exited, his story wasn’t done. That’s the most frustrating part about the whole exit. It wasn’t about ships. His story was what people were mad about. He wasn’t supposed to go out like that. The potential in the character is there. Now you’re not there. It’s a tragedy. I don’t feel Damon’s story personally will be anything anybody is like nooo, you’re barely here and you didn’t get to- nobody cares. His story as a character was written like they didn’t give a fuck despite giving him so much screen time to do it.

Geffri Maya’s reaction was also lackluster. She took hours to even address the homecoming renewal and only liked a tweet when she did. She was hesitating despite visiting colleges as press literally fighting for this show, she wasn’t excited BECAUSE she took a pay cut for that renewal to happen. 

MEANING, use common sense, if you are Geffri Maya what are you gonna do? Grab a check where you can because you just lost it. Simone will be guest starring more on All American because she took a cut for her show and she needs to supplement that income elsewhere and All American will cater that to her and she will be looking for something else because a job is a job. Getting reduced financially is never okay

I can understand why the Homecoming cast reaction has been so lackluster (especially Geffri who ain’t said anything yet but just liked it) about the show being renewed despite fighting so hard for it because they basically told them to take a pay cut and the show as a whole will be given less money. Imagine your job right now being like you can stay but you’ll be paid less. Acting is a job at the end of the day. Nobody wants to hear do what you’ve been doing for less now.

What sucks it that the low budget on Homecoming was already so noticeable. They had 2 SETS. And even the quality of the sets were noticeable. The difference in the All American locker room and the Homecoming locker room was night and day. There was already barely anything put in it. Like that was just the pilot set they were forced to continue working with. They were already working with so much less compared to other shows. Now they are openly like, yeah and reduce that. Reduce more of that? Unlike Superman and Lois that was expensive to begin with, it’s one of their most expensive shows while Homecoming was already being given scraps and the fact that they both got the SAME conditions on their renewals. That’s not even fair.
