Some screenshots from me and Pumkits act we did together at Genki-con last month! Really glad with how Diavolo turned out, was worth the lack of sleep and the all-nighter haha. If you want to see our act, WeeabossTAS (who voiced Diavolo) was so nice to upload it to his youtube channel so go watch it right here and take a look at his other VA stuff now that you’re at it!

We qualified for C4 so we’ll be going to the Netherlands next year and hopefully redo the act and make it more awesome than this year!

Some progress on my Diavolo cosplay! The wig is finished, working on the muscle suit now. Here's a gif of some of the choreography for the act so you can see the wig in motion.

Helloooo here’s a WIP update from me, I’ll be doing a Vento Aureo act together with Pumkit as Diavolo and Doppio so I’m currently working on a Diavolo cosplay! Here’s a picture of the wig so far, trying out some stuff with making a zigzag parting and lacefront. Hope it’ll turn out well in the end. I’ll be posting a full tutorial/walk-through on my FB page of how I made this wig when I’m done with it. For now, ciao ψ(｀∇´)ψ

Hey, I was wondering what sort of closure your Rohan pants have?

There isn’t any actually! 

Since Rohan’s pants pretty much look like there is no proper closure I just went ahead and did the same thing. The top part of his pants are pretty loose so I just slip them on and then keep them fitted through tightening my belt.

Thank you ;V;!!! The belt is two seperate pieces combined like so:

1. A long strip of imitated leather that I measured and cut according to how big I wanted the belt to be. I made sure to make the seams extra wide so there was space for me to sew a thick cording into the seam (I did this all the way through on both sides of the belt)

2. A sock of my chat noir fabric (stretch) that I pulled over the belt base and then sewed onto by the side seams (so next to the cording on top of the seams on the belt base).

After that I made the silver end thing out of craft foam and glued it on. Also added the belt loops with a tool I bought for making those sort of rings. 

The other part of my belt (where the belt connects in the front) is just a seperate leather base made exactly the same way with it’s end sewn onto a belt buckle.

The two pieces connect in the front with a pressure button, or whatever they’re called.

Your Rohan cosplay looks amazing! Can I ask how you made his coat?

Thanks a bunch! The coat is made from a coat pattern I had made from the green jacket I wore in this cosplay. It’s basically just a normal blazer/jacket. 

I made sure my crop top was finished before I started on the pattern for the jacket because I had to measure the front flaps according to it (since the jacket is shorter than his crop top in the front). Then I basically just rounded the front pieces off like he has them. I also added the button flap thingies he has? (the part where the pen nib is holding his jacket together) for sewing the front I suggest looking up tutorials on how to sew rounded edges. 

For the back I made the back piece longer to go to the middle of my knees (since that’s where his jacket falls) and also made the pattern in two pieces so I could have a seam down the middle of the jacket.

After that is done it’s basically just a lot of taking the jacket in, mainly in the sides and then sewing the lining into the jacket. (my lining is super shit but if you want pictures I can show you haha)

The closure has two buttons used: a normal button and one of .. these kind of buttons? I’m not sure what they are called in english 

I put two kinds of buttons to make sure that the closure would stay in place and then glued my pen nib on top of the fabric.

Time for me to once again only post once every blue moon cause I keep forgetting I have this blog. Working on Bites the dust Rohan for an upcoming con the 21st, it’ll also be my first time in artist alley (how fitting) I’m very excited! Finished the shoe pants today and I’m working on his pen nibs. My paint unfortunately is a bit bad but I’m trying to make do with what I can.
