I got a laptop with Windows 11 for an IT course so I can get certified, and doing the first time device set-up for it made me want to commit unspeakable violence

Windows 11 should not exist, no one should use it for any reason, it puts ads in the file explorer and has made it so file searches are also web searches and this cannot be turned off except through registry editing. Whoever is responsible for those decisions should be killed, full stop.

Switch to linux, it's free and it's good.

I like in period dramas when a woman is supposed to be strong and a feminist so they dress her in more masculine clothing,

as though there weren’t strong feminists of the time who specifically decided not to wear masculine or different clothing because no one took them seriously when they did.

Because you know, men strong, women weak. To convey strength we must dress her in man clothes because men strong. She must reject corset, because corset evil. Now all her clothes will be really uncomfortable because they are made to fit with a corset and the corset distributes the weight but no, corset bad.

And of course she doesn’t want to do women’s work, such as sewing, or cooking the food necessary to live. We will have her deliver a baby later though, because she’s a woman so she’d know how to do that.

She will also have messy hair because brushing one’s hair is a sign of femininity, despite the woman almost always living in an era where men were paying particular attention to either their facial hair, their wigs, and/or their makeup.

To recap:

Messy hair=strong woman.

Masculine clothing=feminism.

No corset=freedom

She will of course have shaved legs and armpits though. She’s still a woman after all and as we all know, women have been shaving since the beginning of time.

She’ll also end up being the object of attraction to literally all of them men because she’s not like other girls. No, she’s one of the bros.

She rides astride and she knows how to shoot a gun and/or use a sword. Her father probably taught her before he died, and now, 10 years later, with no further training and no partner to practice with, she’s an expert and will probably beat several fully trained experts in a duel.

Feminism.

Edit: to be clear I’m a feminist and I like when feminists are in movies. What irks me is lazy writing and an inability to use google. And writing tropes that don’t make one lick of sense.
