i know it's hard. but i so firmly believe the strongest antidote to loneliness is reaching out first. and continuing to reach out. again and again and again. excise any scrap of shame you hold about being the person who texts first or pitches the plan or asks to get lunch. everyone is tired and busy and struggling. and afraid of feeling unwanted and unimportant. don't let the people you love feel that way. reach out first. don't be a ghost in your own life.

How come you're all about "feminism" until it's time to protest? We haven't seen you make a single fucking post about the LA riots and it's really disappointing.
Hi friends. This is your reminder not to reply to questions like this. You do not need to self-report your behavior. This is a guilt trip designed to make you violate your own Miranda rights.
Also, they are not riots (Freudian slip, fed?), they're peaceful protests and are a democratic right under the first amendment.
where to find your local protest donate to legal funds my local immigrant support network
be safe out there, i love you.

the problem of fandom reducing characters who are women and/or people of colour to sexist/racist stereotypes is definitely aggravated by the fact that a lot of fans simply do not pay very much attention to these characters in the first place then subconsciously paper over the gaps in their perception with things they’ve been culturally conditioned to believe are true about people in the same category as said character
#similar phenomenon to when people make gijinkas or show the faces of masked characters and sometimes it's like#i see you made all of them white except for one and i can also see exactly why you chose That One to be your token whatever#media literacy#fandom meta#prejudice in fandom#reblogs

My name is Sera, you might be familiar with my past work behind the scenes such as the Mass Effect trilogy, Dragon Age, Silent Hills, and many more. I'm asking for the people who have cherished my work to pay attention.
I'm an agoraphobic indigenous Kanienʼkehá:ka (Mohawk) mixed lesbian who has fought for several years a worsening health condition that is currently killing me. The point of no return is not that far away. I have spent years exhausting any paths and means to get help, enduring extreme and near endless pain. I have reached the critical point I have feared all this time. And to make matters worst, the family responsible for inflicting a lifetime of abuse on me is stalking me heavily online, which has not only exacerbated my agoraphobia, but has also made the efforts to build this harder than I could describe honestly. Know that I share as many details as I can while seeking to avoid undermining my immediate safety. This post is a highly abridged version of the content in the link below ❤
If you have been following me for a while, you are familiar with my struggle and saw me talking about it throughout the years. There are no other options or help besides this, besides you.
If you yourself have a health condition, I salute you for fighting your own battle. Regardless of whether you donate or not, if you read this far, know that you are loved.
A warm thank you to @transmechanicus & @mightyjoke , the kind souls who made this possible. I would be lost and doomed without your help. Attempting to save a human being's life is no small act.
(This is the new updated fundraiser for currency and geographical reasons as of April 14th, 2025. Original was paused at 20.8k. New goal was adjusted to take it into account. Kind words are appreciated.)

a lot of people scoff at transmascs for not wanting to be friends with people who say stuff like "kill all men" and "i hate men" but what i think a lot of people dont seem to grasp is that when you're transmasc, and one if your friends says something like that, it leaves two possibilities:
a) your friend doesnt see you as a man (which is just straight up transphobia)
or
b) your friend hates you. and idk about you, but i generally require all of my friends to like me. thats kind of just, a baseline requirement for friendship, i think.
but moreover specifically they hate you for being a man. and i think what a lot of people have trouble wrapping their brains around is the fact that, when you're a trans man, and someone says they hate you specifically for being a man, what theyre saying is that they hate you for transitioning. they're saying they would like you better if you hadn't transitioned. they'd like you better if you were cis. which yes, is also transphobia. but also for many of us, (not all, but many) there is no universe in which we would have survived not transitioning.
in my case, i had pretty frequent suicidal thoughts all throughout my life, up until i transitioned. once i reached a certain point in my transition, my suicidal thoughts disappeared. i never had another suicidal thought except when i was put in a situation where i was being denied transitional care. so if i had never transitioned, i would be suicidal if not dead. so when someone says they hate me for being a man, what i hear is "i would like you better if you were dead (or barring that, suicidal)"

"I would never-"
You would if you were tired enough. You would if you were hungry enough. You would if your mind and body had been worn down enough, through pain or disease or toil or violent struggle. You might if you were put on the wrong medicine, or you got the wrong kind of head injury, or you were forced to choose between someone else and yourself. You might if your livelihood was staked on it, or all your hopes and dreams. You might if you didn't know what else to do, if it's what you were taught or if nobody taught you anything else.
I have not been worn down in most of these ways. I have lived a remarkably privileged life. But I have been worn down in some ways. And they were enough to teach me that in the wrong circumstances, any of us can become someone we don't want to be. It's worth keeping that in mind.

I really don't mean to sound mean, but *please* don't use generative ai. It's theft, pure and simple. It's spitting in the face of all writers and artists. It should have no place in this community. I've looked up to you and followed you for several years now, and you were one of the first whump blogs I followed. I beg of you, do some research into how horrible gen AI stuff is and don't use it.
I completely understand where you are coming from… however I have a question. Is me using AI purely for my own private entertainment with no intention of ever sharing what is generated, wrong or theft?
Regardless, I removed the post but I’m interested in your thoughts on the subject.
