If I had a nickel for every time people were debating if the relationship between two characters, who had the most intimate and perfectly written moment, is considered romantic or platonic just because both of them are guys; I'd have two nickels.
Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

Okay. I watched Lupin Zero a while back and I’m losing my goddamn MIND over the metaphor of Lupin, a thief, stealing Jigen’s heart. It has been MONTHS and it plagues my mind still. I’m practically tearing my hair out.
Like… Imagine you are a boy. A lonely boy, a boy who’s been hurt his entire life, a boy who was given a gun at the age of five and taught to kill mercilessly without hesitation. You’re constantly told you’re not good enough, that nobody will ever want you for you, that you’ll only ever be a weapon; you’re worth nothing more than that, nothing less. The more skill you have, the more value you hold; if you do a job well you’ll be worth something, if you fail you’ll probably get beat or tossed out, considered less than dirt by your own shitty father. You’re not a boy, not really. You’re a gun, and the minute you miss a shot you’re worthless. You learn that no, you can’t be a kid—being a kid is not for you. You don’t have time for stupid birthday parties or immature little kid games when you’re too busy fighting in war zones or getting shot at in Cambodia. You teach yourself not to feel; remorse and regret are pointless when you’re a hitman, and so is love—you never have childhood crushes or fancy any of the pretty girls at your school. You think it’s stupid. You’ve never been interested in girls anyway, and your father once threatened to shoot you if you ever tried the alternative, so you lock your heart away, stuff it into a box and cram it into a safe and set fifty different code-combination locks and wrap chains around it so that you can’t feel.
And then one day, some skinny rich kid with sticky fingers shows up, and just won’t leave you alone. Okay, you think to yourself. No biggie. He’s just some spoiled brat with too much time on his hands who doesn’t know what he’s getting into. But then this kid starts treating you like you’re worth something, like you’re some sort of treasure he values, something he wants to chase; and not for your quick draw, either. This monkey-faced little brat seems to only want to know more about you, and play stupid kid games with you. He’s annoying, but the trouble he gets into is fun enough, even if you always end up having to bail him out. You find out that this kid is a thrill-seeker, and much to your surprise, he considers you thrilling. You’ve never had friends before, but this feels like something else. The way he looks at you makes your stomach fuzzy with a feeling you’re not entirely sure what to think of, and no matter how many times you walk away you always find yourself drawn to him. You’re reminded of what your father threatened to do at that, so you tuck that feeling away with all the others.
But then, this bastard “friend” of yours does something you never expected; he chips away at the walls you’ve built, carefully picks the locks holding chains around your heart with nimble, practiced fingers. He pries at that safe of yours like it’s fun, like it’s some sort of challenge for him (he likes challenges, you’ve come to find) and finds out those combinations of yours with thieving expertise. And then, as if none of your past matters, as if all those thousands of walls of defence you built and security lasers you set and safety precautions you took are absolutely nothing to him, he reaches forward and places a skinny hand over your chest and takes what he wants, like he’s always done. He holds you in the palm of his hand like you’re something precious, a valued piece of artwork in a renowned museum that he’s taken the liberty of nabbing, and you let him. You let him steal you like some pretty piece of jewelry. You let him pull you from the shitty life you live with that shitty dad of yours and steal you away, even though you’re scared out of your mind of intimacy. You’re alone in the dark of that cramped little safe that you’ve locked yourself away in your entire life, and he picks the lock with a bobby pin and reaches for you and grabs your hand; and then suddenly, you’re not so alone anymore. Suddenly you’re more than a gun, you’re Jigen Daisuke, and Lupin the Third wants you like he would a priceless ruby on display in the hall of a rich man’s mansion.

DO YOU SEE MY VISION, PEOPLE??!? DO YOU SEE IT!!?!1!?

A brief study of Ackerbond
In this post let’s talk about Ackerbond; in other words, about Kenny, Levi, Mikasa and their respective lieges – Uri, Erwin, and Eren. And thank you Cami @tigersbride for reminding me to actually write this post :P
I believe there’s a common basis of Kenny, Levi, and Mikasa’s strong attachment to their lieges, which doesn’t necessarily have to do with the Ackerman bloodline itself. This basis of their attachment is that they see in their lieges admirable qualities which they believe themselves to be lacking in. And so, to follow and stay beside their lieges is a way for the Ackermans to compensate for their own perceived weaknesses, or in other words, to compensate for their lack of certain qualities – qualities which their lieges possess.
The quality that Kenny believes himself to lack, but which Uri possesses, is the capacity for compassion and the ability to find meaning in love for other humans.
The quality that Levi believes himself to lack, but which Erwin possesses, is the dedication to a clear and unwavering purpose, and the devotion to a cause that serves the greater good.
The quality that Mikasa believes herself to lack, but which Eren possesses, is mental strength, and the will and spirit to fight and survive.

Lupin III and Jigen Daisuke were childhood friends!?
Original article was translated from Japanese.
---------------------------------------
Jigen Daisuke is Lupin the Third's partner. He participates in most operations and often works with Lupin, right? How did the two of them meet in the original manga?
Jigen's roles are listed in the order in which they were published in the original work in the magazine "Manga Action" (Futabasha).
“To catch a killer” (October 12, 1967 issue) "Detective Jigen" role
“Hail to the King” (October 26, 1967 issue) Lupin's childhood friend
"Damned if you do" (November 2, 1967 issue) Lupin's partner
“The hand is quicker than the spy” (November 9, 1967 issue) Lupin's partner
According to Monkey Punch, the role is different for each episode. At that time, it had just been serialized and I was drawing it in Gamushara. I thought it would be a one-episode series, so other than the main character, Lupin III, the roles changed every episode.” The role in which Jigen first appears in the Lupin the Third manga is as “Detective Jigen'' (chapter "To catch a killer") However, this "Lupin Killer" or “Detective Jigen” is actually Lupin the Third in disguise!! In this episode, Lupin the Third disguises himself as a "detective Jigen” and defeats the fake Lupin. I don't know if Jigen actually existed as a detective at this time, but I don't think Lupin III would disguise himself as a non-existent person to carry a plan (also to deceive his opponent). It is believed that Jigen Daisuke was a detective at this time. Jigen Daisuke and Lupin the Third were childhood friends! ? The real Jigen Daisuke appears in “Hail to the King" (October 26, 1967 issue) ! It is here that Jigen is revealed to be Lupin the Third's childhood friend. Mr. Monkey Punch seems to have said at the time that it was a one-story series and that he wasn't conscious of the connections between the episodes, but when he forced himself to think about the connections, in “To catch a killer’’ (October 12, 1967 issue) , the real Lupin the Third disguised himself as his childhood friend Jigen Daisuke and carried out the operation in order to exterminate his opponents the Rat Clan. After that, Jigen Daisuke will be portrayed as Lupin the Third's partner. By placing Jigen in a position where they knew each other as childhood friends, he probably decided to keep him as his partner. Originally, Monkey Punch also felt that Lupin III needed a partner. “Most of the time, I can say that I drew things with great momentum, so back then I would have never imagined that Jigen Daisuke would play an important role and become a character loved by fans, up until the current hugely popular Lupin the Third!” You can also try reading it. Hikari TV Book.
---------------------------------
I hope the translation is ok. It's a confirmation that the Jigen who tries to kill Lupin in chapter "To catch a killer" isn't in fact the real Jigen but Lupin disguised as Jigen and the Lupin who dies in the end is fake Lupin. It's the only way that chapter makes sense.
In future chapters we meet other fake Jigens, like the one who gets killed in “Remember to forget” (reprised in ep 6 part 1) or the fake Jigen in the chapter with the "Death virus" or again the one who causes troubles and ultimately tries to infiltrate the gang in the Bulletproof Rose chapter.

How to Help Palestine
This post is intended to guide those who have no idea on how to help Palestine. I am making this as quick as possible, so please inform me if there is another source you would like me to add, or if any of these sources are inaccurate.
According to the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund, what we, the average person, can do to help Palestine is:
Educate ourselves (reading and learning Palestine's history)
Advocate for change (writing to representatives, voting, protesting, and petitions)
Staying informed and engaged (reading reputable news sources, don't stop talking about Palestine!)
Supporting Palestinian businesses (and boycotting those businesses which do not support Palestine)
Donating to reputable organizations (the PCRF is a great one, however there is also gazaesims.com, Doctors without Borders, UNWRA, and these)
Notice how many of these are free and easily available.
Education
Decolonizepalestine.com, and more specifically its reading list, is a great start. I highly recommend this Palestine Masterlist Google Doc, it provides free resources and just about everything you need to be informed and educated. This Carrd is also informative and easy to understand. Pluto Books is having a sale on books about Palestine, and Verso Books even provides ebooks for free. Words without Borders provides free stories from Palestinian writers. This website also links to free resources. It is also worth checking out your local library to see if they have any available books about Palestine.
Advocate for Change
Email script; send the message as often as you can, and keep track of possible responses from your representatives. If they're advocating for Is---l (such as my representative is, however I do not want to doxx myself; however, they are Republican) vote them out.
Ceasefiretoday.com provides a master list of advocacy resources.
Staying Informed and Engaged
Aljazeera.com is a great resource for current news regarding Gaza, the U.S. government, and the victims of this violence.
As for staying engaged, don't stop talking about Palestine! Talk with your friends, family, anyone about what is happening, and use your newfound education to educate others! Make a stand and cut Z---ists out of your life!
Support Palestinian Businesses
This is a good beginning list, but feel free to branch out to other Palestinian brands.
However, make sure to boycott these companies, and remember to check any produce you buy (especially dates for Ramadan) to see if it is produced by Is---l.
Donating to Reputable Organizations
Here is this charity list again. Make sure that your charity of choice:
Is going to Gaza/Palestine and
Advocates for a ceasefire
Be on the lookout for scams, and if you want to help Palestinians directly without running the risk of a scam, eSims for Gaza is a great source; and, you're making history! You get to tell your ancestors how you fought for Palestinians!
What Now?
As a final note, every little bit counts. Please do not remain silent even if you run a fan account or have a particular "aesthetic," please do not allow your fandom to remain silent, please do not fall for the fallacy that there's no way you can fight against an entire government. There is strength in numbers, and every little action you make contributes, whether for better or worse. Please do not support Z-----t actors or media, please do not drink Starbucks or buy McDonalds because that is what is convenient for you, please do not choose ignorance and silence to what is happening. I am not asking you to sacrifice or put your life on hold, but you do need to care. Thank you.

I feel like the fandom is sleeping on the 2023 live-action Jigen Daisuke movie.
Do you want to see Jigen very confidently state "I can't stand kids, they irritate me", then proceed to lay his entire life down for a traumatized little girl?
Do you want to watch him wreck a bunch of assassin's shits with only his hands and a table?
Do you want to see some actual real-life badass fight scenes that we never see in the anime because it would cost a fortune to animate?
Do you want to watch Jigen actually get his time to shine and show off not only badass gun fighting skills but also brilliant strategy?
Do you want to see a very gay florist who for some reason isn't in fact Lupin in disguise?
Do you want to see a kickass old lady gunsmith who for all intents and purposes has basically adopted Jigen?
Do you want to watch him fight back actual tears on TWO (2) separate occasions?
Do you want to see him fully adopt a child like seriously I cannot stress enough how wholesome his relationship with Oto is I actually melted into a puddle of feels several times
Then WATCH THE MOVIE PLEASE I promise it's really good!
Also Tetsuji Tamayama is very very handsome
Bonus: adorable gay-ass florist whom I am 100% convinced is Lupin in disguise
"...what just happened??"
Anyway. Movie good. You want to watch it. Reblog. (pssst I have a link 👀)
