College Survey: Your Perspective on Generative AI in the Arts

Hi there,

I hope this message finds you well! I’m currently working on a university project about generative AI and its impact on the art industry—a topic that hits close to home for me as an artist myself. Through this project, I aim to highlight the perspectives of artists, writers, and voice actors, which I feel are often overlooked in discussions about AI technologies.

To help with my research, I’ve put together a survey to gather thoughts, experiences, and concerns directly from creatives like you. The survey is completely voluntary, and I understand if you can’t or don’t wish to participate—but if you do, your input would mean so much to me! I personally think that AI shouldn't be used for art, voice acting and such because it is programmed to learn from already existing things which prevents it from creating a whole new idea. Humans have the capacity of thinking about new ideas while AI just uses them as a base and mixes other ideas together to "create something new"

While it can be helpful in plenty things (Like information or even catching things that the human eye misses entierly) it's a very powerful tool that should have plenty restrictions to stop people from using it the wrong way (impressionism or generating disgusting content)

For now, there's not much we can do to protect ourselves from getting our content stolen to feed a machine created with the intention of "being the future of humanity". And unfortunately we are not taken seriously and this issue will only be taken care of until it affects someone with a lot of power.

After nearly a year, finally a proper introction!

HAPPY ONE YEAR TO TADC!! ♡

I was not able to finish this on time because I have been very busy lately and art block has fallen upon me.

Tadc is my second biggest hyperfixiation yet. As I have been hyperfixiated with it since it released, basically one whole year. (My biggest hyperfixiation is fnaf since 2018)
