Hello everyone!

A couple weeks ago I (mod win) did a poll asking if people would want to do an It Lives book club or livestream. I got a lot more interest than I was expecting, so I’m happy to say that I will be organizing both!

I’m thinking it can be a fall thing, start with ILITW in September and play the trilogy together through September and October. I will release a schedule when we get closer to time! I’ll also release a schedule for when I’ll be streaming the game as well, along with a link to where I will be streaming 😊 (hopefully the game update I’ve mentioned will be finished by the time we’re ready to play & stream ILW 👀)

Now I have one more poll for yall. With regards to the stream, what would you prefer? To watch me play my regular route, OR for chat to vote on responses and I have to do what y’all say?

With a petition/popular demand, will the It Lives trilogy be releasing another book?

No, we will not be making more It Lives books. In part because it’s a lot of nonprofit work, and in part because the ILW endings are so diverse I don’t know a way to make a sequel to honor each ending.

ilw, not choices. we’re prepping to drop a new build update that’ll be open source so people can see the code + some additional little things (like a plus size MMC option)… more details incoming, but nothing super huge!! Just a little bit huge 🤭

With the new game update coming out, is there any chance you guys might add plus size masculine body types to the game? Or that you might create some we can add to the game ourselves?

wanted to let you guys know that i think of matthias randomly pops into my head sometimes and y’all were truly the first to satisfy my “romancing a villain arc ” craving perfectly and i genuinely don’t think anyone can top it ever

Hello! I too want to make a fan project (just a few chapters for my favourite book, BOLAS) like you guys did but I don't really have the time to be learning Ren'Py from scratch. Can you make the script of a chapter available so that I can learn from it? I wanted to ask this personally but seems like I can't message you guys. Thanks!

Hey! We will be releasing a new build soonish... maybe in a month or two-ish, and anyway that build will have the code completely open source. So when we release that, you will be able to see what we did.

We're trying to clean it up before releasing it out into the wild because while it worked, the code was uh. not the cleanest, to say the least 😅 (and it was my fault, i taught myself to code on ilw and i laid the foundation and the actual programmers who came later were stuck with my mess lol)

Hi just a curious fan why there is less importance to ilb Mc and even there is no dirty diamond scenes with their lis too, just being curious , is there any reason u guys not kept that? Being said that, u guys have created a master piece still remembering the days it had been releasing weekly . Can u guys consider doing some sequel or some special books related to ilw universe? We all will be happy to read ❤️ .

it basically just comes down to that ILB LIs got 2 dirty diamond scenes in ILB, and we had a ton of sexy scenes to write and didn't want to write more haha 😅

and thank you so much, I also remember the days it was releasing weekly. Those were such fun times! I would love to work on another game project of similar scope to ILW, but right now I'm focusing on my books. Maybe once my books are published I can look into getting into more interactive fiction, but as far as ILW universe, we wouldn't be doing more of that, sadly. As much as I miss and love it, that story is finished and there's no more to tell.

hello omg i'm so happy that this blog is still somewhat active 🫡🫡 just wanted to say how much i enjoyed jocelyn's route and that you guys did a phenomenal job with her arc (and also just in general!!) - as a queer disabled woman myself i really found myself relating to her a lot at certain points, and i love how genuine and sweet her slow burn route is. i was also wondering whether the song bite the hand by boygenius inspired jocelyn's route in any way? it isn't about a relationship but i went absolutely feral over the lyrics and trying to relate them to mc x joss </3 sorry for the garbled mess but the jocelyn wu-induced brainrot is strong 😔

as far as the song, i don't know? i don't think the writers had it in mind, but if it fits, it fits! i love finding music that perfectly encapsulates the vibes of a character or ship i love.

is there a way to add custom clothes to the game or edit prexisting ones?

Not currently. However.

I maybe. Perhaps. Would unlock the code and drop a tutorial on how to customize sprites & clothing if enough people are interested. But I would want to see that people are interested before doing it. Also, you'd only be able to customize sprite clothes etc on mac and PC.

Hi it lives crew! I think I've sent in an ask before here but it was during the early days of the game and I just came here to say that you've done the fandom an amazing, if not, completely flabbergasting job on making this fangame and the dedication, the love, care, and every single thing just shows in its very essence, other than that my actual words are more or less like this: 'HJDSVFBGHFJBSYUFBH HOLY SHIT LIKE AAAAAAA??????' But other than that, I just finished the game like a few minutes ago (by the time this ask gets answered, it would be hours or more BUT STILL) and got the Blood ending and the references to multiple sources of pop culture and some of Choices beloved books (like Endless Summer) is just mind-blowing and every possible, positive word there is to even describe how much I love this game. Either way, I would like to really thank you guys for making a game like this ever possible and appreciate all the work you've done! Oh and good luck on the new project you guys are working on! <3 P.S.- My ass was really mentally preparing myself from a potential jumpscare at the end of the credits /j /lh (its kind of a habit lmfao) but also I'd like to ask where Fem!Harper/fem!ILB MC got the outfit she wears in the Epilogue! I really like it!

Hey! I've played ILW twice, and on my third try this time, I'm really loving the sarcastic MC (the first two times, I was a genuine MC). I love their banter with the crew, especially with Joss (they feel like bickering siblings, which I didn't expect to like so much, but I do, hahaha). Overall, this game is amazing and I can feel the passion that you and the team put into to make ILW the best conclusion to It Lives! Looking forward to more of your projects!

seeing all the it lives posting has been making me emotional🥲🥲 i think about you guys all the time and it’s crazy how much of a big part of my life this was (even just as a fan), genuinely when i think back to my life in college i think about how much of it was me obsessing with ilw😭

my nostalgia posting got to you 😂 it truly is wild thinking how big a part of our lives this game was, to the creators, testers, and players. the community was so lovely, and that whole experience will forever be one of my most treasured experiences 🥹 i was thinking recently about how it may have been a fan game, but to those of us in the community, our excitement for it was just as big, if not bigger, than the excitement people have for big shot game games and movies.
