The noticed the change in the way It spoke a bit suprised to say the least. There hand slid to the leather knife cover on there belt. A gift from Frisk who despite what they had done still trusted them to carry a weapon. They slowly removed the blade holding it out open in there hands befor balling a fist around the handle and walking forward.
And it listened as Chara spoke, carefully, and while it did it’s grip on Frisk’s soul relaxed. The darkness that surrounded the soul pulled away, letting it the soul shine as it would. This was Frisk, everything they once were, held carefully within the beast’s hands. And it listened, quietly, staring just as silently at the soul. It felt… strange. Strange to see what was left of that child. It could almost empathize with the Flower, there was nothing left of the underground’s destroyed Prince.
“Is that so?” Shoulder’s relaxed, the hand around Frisk’s soul was almost protective. Gaze never rose from the soul, held strong as though all of life depended on it. This soul ought not have risen from it’s body, it’s owner should never have suffered as they did. This was the soul of someone who always cared for other’s first, did everything to protect those they cared for. A soul that never wanted to fight, just wanted everyone to be happy. Even him.
