The Dangerous Effect of Air Pollution
Air is very important in all living things, do you know why? Well almost all life on earth depends upon clean to function and survive. However, when the air we breathe in becomes polluted, we too become polluted. Dirty air is called “polluted air”. Air pollution is what we say to describe all bad gases in the air that we breathe. It is very dangerous, do you know why? It is the presence in the air of one or more solid, liquid, or gaseous substances in such a concentration. It also cause a nuisance or to be injurious to human life, animal life and vegetation or disrupt the functioning of the environment. Air pollution can be caused by simple everyday things ranging from car exhaust, stoves, to more complicated things such as factory emissions. Formaldehyde, tobacco smoke, burning of coal in homes and factories are also a common source of air pollution. The real cost of air pollution cannot be measured until the health cost are factored in. Too much air pollution can make anyone’s life a living hell, why? Well, because substantial exposure to air pollution can have drastically negative effects on an individual’s overall well being. Have you ever noticed that the air in a city smells different from air in the country? One of the reasons is that exhaust from vehicles give off fumes, or gases, which can poison you. Today, when we think of air pollution , we should think of transport, especially cars. The car exhaust eject a lot of bad gases, which create air pollution. These  gases can be dangerous for our children. Transport is not the only reason why we have air pollution. Factories also release bad gases in the air, even with the “clean air act”, it still causes a lot of air pollution. This air pollution that they make is the main cause of acid rain. Examples of these bad gases are carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons, particulates and sulphur dioxide. We spend a large part of our lives at home it does not often cross our mind that the air we breathe may be polluted. Pollution inside homes is called “indoor air pollution”. Indoor air pollution is usually very low but a lot of thing can increase it. One of the main causes of indoor air pollution is smoking, Smoking cigars and tobacco can be very dangerous for health. The poison in the smoke can cause heart problems, lung cancer, and other lung diseases. Cigarette smoking is dangerous for people smoking but also for those who do not! Breathing in air, which contains other people’s smoke, can cause you the same health problems, for example lung cancer. To reduce “indoor air pollution”, make sure the room is well ventilated while painting. Always remember to NEVER THINK OF SMOKING. These are the reasons why we need to preserve clean or fresh air for our health.

“The Importance in Maintaining Clean Air”
My reaction about the importance in maintaining clean air is I’m so overwhelmed because this topic really gives us information about the proper way on how to keep air clean. It said that we can maintain a clean air by avoiding burning of any trash like styrofore, old wheels, plastics, old garments etc. We must also stop smoking, smoke belching, and smoke coming from the factories. These simple things can really make a big difference in order to maintain a clean and better air for all of us. We can now smell a fresh air to breathe and to live longer. Clean air is good for our digestion. It can lose some weights if you get outside, walking and smell some fresh air. Clean air can also improve your blood pressure and heart rate. Fresh air can also make you happier. When you inhale it, you can have a peaceful life and away from stress. It can strengthen your immune system. Clean air makes your lungs clean. Your lungs can feel better if you inhale fresh air, not the polluted air. Fresh air helps you to think better and increases your energy level. You can have fun with enough energy given by the clean air. Thinking is mostly we are doing so if we breathe fresh air, we can think well than before. Fresh air purifies the blood, imparts to it a bright color, and sends the blood, a life-giving current, to every part of the body. This means that if we maintain our air clean, we can have these benefits coming from the air. Clean air is very important to all individuals, society, country, and most especially to the whole world.

Why do we complain so much about the doings of the people around us when we're not encouraging or even trying to stop them?

Ian Johnston | 12/11/2016
Nearly half the species on the planet are failing to cope with the global warming the world has already experienced, according to an alarming new study that suggests the sixth mass extinction of animal life in the Earth’s history could take place in as little as 50 years.
A leading evolutionary biologist, Professor John Wiens, found that 47 per cent of nearly 1,000 species had suffered local extinctions linked to climate change with populations absent from areas where they had been found before.
Professor Wiens, who is editor of the Quarterly Review of Biology and a winner of the American Society of Naturalists’ president’s award, said the implications for the future were serious because his review showed plants and animals were struggling to deal with the relatively small amount of global warming experienced to date.
