I think people don’t like Kikyo because of their first impression of her from the beginning. she was being mean and horrible especially to Kagome, but now I can definitely understand why. when Inuyasha cried and said that he couldn’t save her, she smiled at him and said that at least he came for her and that is enough. she died in his arms, her soul was finally free from all the hate and sorrow. in the end of the day, all she wanted was to be free. I don’t think Kikyo was evil or anything like that, and I don’t think she wanted to be mean in the beginning. it was all sadness, and people can’t understand that. thank you Kikyo, for being who you are.

and still, I can’t accept her death. I keep on thinking about how hard it must have been for her, Kikyo suffered a lot and never expected anyone to understand her feelings. she was full with hate, sadness, sorrow, yet she was still being kind and loving towards the people around her. in the beginning she hated Kagome and wanted to kill Inuyasha, but with the time she learned to accept the both of them and was willing to avenge Naraku for all the things he has ever done. what a strong character, thank you Kikyo.

k, that is your opinion. in the end we can't really tell what her intentions really were so we can only come up with different thoughts about her. I do think that she decided to believe in Kagome especially in the last episodes before she died, I think she did have some respect toward her because she never really gave up on anything. even though she never thanked her for saving her life, not in the cave and not when Kagome came purify the miasma, I think she respected her. and even Kagome said that, when she had the bow, she told Inuyasha she had an illusion of Kikyo but it was Kikyo from the beginning and not Kikyo from now which also shows that Kikyo actually had a change. but whatever, it doesn't really matter, that is just how I like to think :)

well, I can agree with that. she could have trained Kagome and help the group instead of traveling all alone. but on the other think how hard it must have been. first of all, Naraku tricked her and caused her to hate Inuyasha to death. then, she was brought back to life because of that old weird witch. she couldn't accept Kagome at first, she always looked down at her and it was obvious that she didn't like her. but how could she? Kagome was her reincarnation, and to Kikyo it looked like Inuyasha preferred Kagome over her. the love of your life replaced you with another version of you. but with the time she started to accept the fact that Kagome is there too now, and she knew that things were going on between Kagome and Inuyasha. so traveling with them won't make it easier, it would only cause Kagome to feel sad and jealous. I think Kikyo changed during the time, she was more understanding and pushed her feelings away in order to defeat Naraku, even though she failed in the very end. there is a lot not to like about her, I definitely agree, but I also think that after learning her story - you'll find it better to understand her feelings 😊
