Right. So. I have a theory. And I'm hoping that the first part of it is true but the second part.... I kinda hope I'm not right. But anyway

So, this is based on something either Joel or Adam said in an interview/ q&a that I won't look up now. But.

Sherlock and co doesn't have seasons, right? But. It does have, let's say, phases. Eras. The first one ended with Silver Blaze, the second one ended with The Sign Of Four, and now we're in the third. Where we start hearing of Moriarty more and more.

Let's put it like this:

Excluding the first episode, that wasn't an adventure, we have:

Era 1: John and Sherlock getting to know eachother

Ep 2-31. 12 stories. 30 episodes

Era 2: Sherlock and John are besties.

Ep 32-63. 9 stories. 32 Episodes

Era 3: Moriarty hints (ongoing)

Ep 64-94. 10 stories. 31 Episodes

Every era has around 10 stories, 30 episodes, give or take, right? So Priory School could very easily be the last story of this era. But i think it's not.

Given that we are so close to the 100th episode, I would say that maybe they'll either end the "Moriarty hints" era at the 100th episode OR start the new "Moriarty is here" era on episode 100.

(Because obviously we need a "Moriarty is here" era too, we can't jump from hints to The Final Problem)

Either way. I think we're getting live Moriarty on episode 100.

Which would be great! I hope I'm right.

But.

And here's the part that I hope I'm not right about.

If all eras are 30 episodes (give or take). And the "Moriarty is here" era will start on/just after the 100th episode.

That means we're not getting The Final Problem until around episode 130. That's 36 weeks from now. Around nine months. It wouldn't even be this year. It would be in like. March-April 2026.

Sooo as someone who really really wants The Final Problem to happen this year because I don't want it to be too long after the midpoint (btw I'm pretty sure we'll have 200 episodes in total)...... Yeah I hope the "Moriarty is here" era is shorter than usual. PLEASE.

So i was saying in the tags of my reactions post holy shit this is the second time I've wanted to DECK someone in this podcast. To be more precise. The crazy guy who told Sherlock "You’re one of them". Just. Yeah. Wow. Blood boiling. Unfounded accusations make me angry in general but... To accuse someone of that just because you're being found out that you did something wrong?? Ok I'm not elaborating i can feel my pulse picking up.

Anyway the first person I've wanted to fucking punch in this podcast was Milverton. Not really comparable because my hatred for Milverton is much stronger that my deep dislike for this rando but yeah

So I'm thinking about Milverton. And looking back at what the crazy guy this episode said to Sherlock. And I notice something.

At the end of the paragraph, he's making threats and describing a rather violent image that includes eyes. And immediately after he gets interrupted by John.

Now. I was already thinking about Milverton. And I talked both in this post and with at least one on my mutuals about Milverton threatening Sherlock. So naturally. I thought about this bit. In Chas p1

Milverton threatening Sherlock and describing a gruesome image including eyes. And immediately getting interrupted (punched) by John.

I'm not sure what I want to say with this. Do I think this is forshadowing for Sherlock getting his eyes hurt in some way? Not really. Do I think John is more likely to be disturbed by violence/ wounds if eyes are involved? Maybe. But yeah I just noticed some similarities and I thought I'd point them out.
